at 11:00. >> breaking news out of the montgomery county. a car hit and killed a person walking in pottstown. police say it happened on rout route 100 and shoemaker road around 8:00 this evening. we don't yet know what happened or even if the driver stopped but we do know all lanes are now back open. in philadelphia's nicetown neighborhood, dozens of bullets flew hitting schoolbus with children on on board over and over again. i'm lucy noland. that bus had eight bullet holes in the children are okay. the shooters are still out there. let's get to joanne pileggi on the scene moments after all of this happened. joanne. >> reporter: that's right, lucy. 42 shots fired and a busy intersection. residential intersection in logan. who does that? at the same time schoolbus was going through that intersection police are trying to sort this all out and they are busy looking for the four gunmen and the get away car. >> this schoolbus has shattered glass and a huge hole in another window. bullet holes in several spots. the driver was passing through this intersection in logan when gunfire erupted. >> 42 shots were fired from semi-automatic weapons. we found 42 spent shell casings at the intersection of 19th and wingohocking. >> police say four men armed with semi-automatic weapons got out of a red car with tinted windows. good all four of these males had guns in their hands. all four males were wearing masks covering their face. the recording shows all four of these males firing on 19th street. >> reporter: cops say it appears they were shooting at two men on the corner by the bow gay today. one of them was shot in the ear. during all of this, the schoolbus passed through. fortunately, the driver and two passengers escaped injury. despite all of the shots that hit the bus. >> people got to send their kids to the store, you know, who -- you know, who would send your children to the store and not know if they going to come back. >> reporter: police say the whole incident was captured on real-time crime cameras and they are now looking for that red car with tinted windows and the four shooters. motive unknown the person person who was shot is in stable condition. lucy. >> thank you much, joanne. twod adults and child trapped in a burning home but they are recovering tonight. all thanks to the heroic life-saving efforts by firefighters in kensington. flames ripped through a row home on the 3300 block of e street this morning. firefighters pulled the family out. then performed cpr. that family is in the hospital in serious condition. on your radar tonight, one word, cold. in allentown anyone outside should most definitely layer up. of course, we were, what, just we canning a talking about record highs. but it's winter and we really haven't had one. meteorologist mike masco in that house tonight always pleasure, mike. >> absolutely. i was on the beach when we hit those -- >> were you? >> um -- >> i don't want to take anything off. >> reporter: they still make me laugh. i guess the bad news is, winter is back. the good news, officially spring is just 17 days away. i got to tell you, lucy that ice cream still look pretty good tonight. >> you know what, every day is a good day for ice cream i have to say. >> you're right. >> thank you very much, brad. police arrest add 19-year-old man for murder. after the long arm of the law weren't away to the dominican republic to bring him back to the philadelphia. franklin estevez faces murder charges in the shooting death of ellis nova. estevez tried to escape to the dominican republic but authorities there immediately sent him back to the us. police arrested hip at kennedy airport in new york city. homicide detectives say witnesses did the right thing and they stepped up. authorities made they are first arrest as local and federal investigations into recent threats against jewish community centers ramp up. in missouri prosecutors charged 31-year-old juan thompson. they say he's hyped at least some of the threats. so far no arrests connected to any of the threats in our area. now in our area new jersey governor chris christie is taking action against what has happened. the governor is calling for increased security at houses of worship, cemeteries and other places. fox 29's shawnette wilson joins us live from temple emmanuel in cherry hill. shawnette. >> reporter: lucy, people i tuck to tonight aren't sure the governor's order will help but they are pleased to know what is happening to them isn't being forgotten. >> it's a shame. it's very painful, and we have to get together, um, you know, to go against it. >> reporter: bertha felt a little more at ease heading into temple emmanuel in cherry hill after learning the governor ordered increased patrols at house of worship, community centers and cemeteries around the state. >> we definitely think the security will help. it does help. and the bad people who are thinking and seeing the securi security, they will think twice. >> reporter: announcement came during a news conference today with the attorney general, state police and homeland security officials. the increased patrols are a result of jewish cemeteries being vandalized and community centers forced to evacuate because of threats. it's happening a all over the country including our area of new jersey, delaware and philadelphia. >> we now have $10,000 rewards available for any leads that lead us to the violation of bias crimes. david isn't so sure the extra security will help and is deeply saddened by what's happened. >> i don't think it's going to help, you know why?
