Ten adults, two children, everyone is ok but certainly a close call for this wilmington neighborhood today. I was in bed. Then somebody came banging on the door. Started in a vacant home and spread to the adjacent properties engulfing six homes, two were occupied. 30 firefighters battled the fire and the cold temperatures. We got it under control in probably about an hour and a half. Our crews did an outstanding job. We got cold temperatures out here. Were getting ice on the ground. Guys, they got the lines and service real quick and it did a heck of a job knocking it down. Reporter they sure d again, 12 people evacuated.
