Wintry mess through the Lehigh Valley and also into the poconos where we could be seeing some accumulating snow later tonight. We do have wind advisory down the shore winds still gusting to 50 miles an hour. Take look at the winds right n now. A 51mile an hour gust in philadelphia. Just moments ago. That was measured. Right now millville gusting to 44. In Atlantic City gusting to 46 miles an hour. The storm is strengthening getting closer and it will be passing by overnight tonight. Heres look at the wind chills. Feels like 27 in philadelphia. 19 in the poconos. So those winds combined with colder temperatures are going to make for chilly overnight and commute tomorrow morning. Coastal Flood Warning continues for jersey shore and also the delaware beaches until 11 00 oclock tomorrow morning. Next high tide between 5 00 and 6 00 a. M. Along the coastal front. So that means more trouble down the shore. So additional flooding expected at times of high tide. Minor to moderate Property Damage and significant beach erosion in many spots its already been pretty bad and we expect more unfortunately overnight. That could cause some delays possibly even in the morning as they work through the night here on this. But these weather this weather and high winds has caused not only delays for commuters, but even caused a death in hunting park. It was just before 1 00 monday when Police Say High winds ripped this sign from the wall next to the d and s auto sales lot and it fell on top of 59yearold carrie hall. Cant believe the guy got killed with that. I cant believe it. Reporter police say hall was an employee at the small car lot off old york road. He was sweeping in the lot when the sign fell and pinned him against a car. Police and medics arrived but hall died at the scene. Cant believe the sign when it fall down. I cant believe it. Amtrak trains were delayed after wires along the northeast corridor came down. Backing up trains at 30th street station for up to three hours. Its not looking too good. Im seeing two, three hours. Reporter across the river in south jersey, high winds brought down wires and caused electrical poles to snap along route 70. Authorities shut down the roadway in both directions. Im standing right in the middle of it because its closed. Pounding winds still hitting the jersey shore. Ive been clocking winds all night with my an mom meter i clocked winds here in the inlet because its mainly unprotected here. These winds are just coming in. I clocked a 59 miles an hour gust just a little while ago. But its this storm by any means is not over yet. Whipping winds and punishing rains pounded the jersey shore tonight. A shooting in the citys kingsessing neighborhood put a Delivery Driver in the hospital. It happened around 7 00 tonight right near fifth and yokum streets. Police say someone shot a 36yearold man twice. Sources are telling us that a man is a Delivery Driver and he returned fire. The first shooter got away. The victim is at the hospital of the university of pennsylvania in stable condition. As if the rain and the wind arent behind enough traffic issues turnpike connector bridge between new jersey and pennsylvania remained closed indefinitely. You have to go to the roots. If youre not pulling it up by the roots, the weeds still grows. Among the findings it says lgbtq people of color women and transgender people often feel unwelcomed and unsafe in neighborhood places. It it specifically found Business Practices in bars backed up numerous complaints of racism and discrimination over issues like dress codes. Only one of the bars we subpoenaed has a dress code, one, and in the abs sense of written policies the staff is given a lot of discretion which can lead to different treatment.
