Jackson served on the force for a decade. While girard joined the force less than years ago. A spokesperson for the east Baton Rouge Sheriffs Office says the third is deputy brad ger. He said something must change. Until we come together as a nation, a people, to heal as a people, if we dont do that in this madness continuous, we will sure huly perish. Detectives are still talking with two persons of interest to determine what, if any, connection they may have had to the shooter. Tensions have been running high since Baton Rouge Police were involved in the shooting death of alton sterling on july 5th and the next day, Philando Castile was shot dead by police during a traffic stop in minnesota. Within 24 hours, five dallas Police Officers were killed by a sniper. Ambushed during a black lives matter demonstration. It was just days ago that president obama attended a memorial for those officers. And pleaded for peace. Unfortunately, its now baton rouge officials turn to call for calm. We pledge to them and their families that we will be their first responders. We must strive every day to be one nation under god indi visible with liberty and justice for all. Breaking tonight, three Law Enforcement officers killed in an ambush in louisiana. It started just past 8 30 this morning, when Law Enforcement showed up at a gas station. Now, investigators say a man dressed in all black opened fire killing the three men. Other officers responded to the call for help and got into a gun fight with the shooter killing him.
