Emotions were running high on jasper street as family members of the victims arrived on the scene only to hear the tragic news that two young men had been found shot to death in the dining room of a home here. Both were laying face down. Both appeared to have been shot at least one time in the head. They heard shooting but they didnt know where it came from. Reporter neighbors didnt want to be identified. They say it was just after 3 00 monday afternoon when police were called to this home on the 3600 block of jasper near pacific street. Inside investigators found a bloody scene. One victim age 20 lived here. The other in his late 20s early 30s was a visitor to the house. Based on ballistic evidence, we know that at least nine shots were fired from a semiautomatic weapon. We found nine spent shell casings on the scene. Young kid was like i said he never he never even got loud. You know, he kept to himself. The street quickly filled with grieve stricken family members and friends. Some collapsing and sobbing wildly in the street. Police told one of the victims cars from the murder scene. I feel real bad for them because theyre good family. They worked every day. They were both at work when it happened. Family members were questioned along with neighbors as police began trying to figure out who would have carried out the double homicide. Family members waited hours in the cold for answers. We dont have a motive for the shooting at this time. Police on the scene did not find any forced entry to the property. The kid was great kid. And thats why it shocked me. He was looking for Construction Materials last summer when this popped up. An ad posted by her husband kay asking for kidney to save his wifes live. Because i had put a similar ad in the newspaper once upon a time. Reporter calderbank says the kidney ad accidentally misplaced under Construction Materials had to be the work of his late wife jessica. She died of kidney failure in 2011. I feel like shes been my angel kind of showing me the way, and i know for sure she showed me their ad. Reporter the couple was stunned to find out, a, calderbank was a match and, b, he was willing to sign up for the surgery. Now, theyre at the hospital of the university of pennsylvania preparing for next weeks transplant. I was very surprised, first, there was really a person stranger who would do that for me because there was nobody in my life who would do that for me to save me.
