next ten minutes we are hearing there will be a news conference over the course of the last 09 minutes, a lot of conflicting information. for this moment we will be very careful with what we report until when we take this news conference live, hopefully, very shortly watch we know is the incident happened at around 43 we'll show you pictures of the scene on the 600 block of magnolia avenue in glenn older -- end. police overswear dare borough was shot, now just within the last hour, darby township police, this is the township police, telling us he is in very critical condition, taken to pen presbyterian hospital. >> this does appear as chris mentioned to be domestic case of the officer not on duty at the time, he lived we're hearing at that home with his girlfriend. they've been there living there together at least two to three years. neighbors say police have been called to the home before. again, we are awaiting a news conference here at darby borough, supplies been gathering, we have been here for about hour and a half, that's been gathering behind closed doors also hearing that darby township police, who actually are leading this investigation, are going to be holding a news conference, as well. now, little while ago neighbor told us the officer was just celebrating yesterday. >> he's going to take his motorcycle test. i'm look good luck. i came back, like you pass? he said all happy you know, because all forget that license, and now this. >> again, the word we're hearing at last check about an hour or 90 minutes ago, that he was in very critical condition. no word on any arrests at this point. but again, we are inside darby borough police, where within the next ten minutes we're hearing, there is going to be a news conference, we expect to bring that to you job in a police car. investigators say officer darryl casey pulled up to the 12th district headquarters, on woodland avenue last night and that's where other officers noticed he was driving on three flat tires in bent rims. they also reported smelling alcohol on casey. and when he was being placed into custody police say he tried to fight and assault add supervisor. six year veteran of the temperatures later in the week still to come. joyce? >> all right caitlin i'll take you, see you in a few minutes. early morning fire in tioga still causing delays on septa regional rail. warehouse sits next to the manayunk-norristown regional rail line, caught fire just after 2:00 this morning, it took firefighters over three and a half hours to get the four alarm fire under control. they arrived to find heavy smoke and fire, coming from what is vacant two-story warehouse. no one was hurt, but septa says the manayunk norristown line will be suspended throughout this weekend, until officials can determine if it is safe for planes to travel behind that warehouse. riders check with septa for updates, and detours. and philadelphia police are looking for whomever shot and killed a man in frankford last night. police were called to apartment on the 4300 block of elizabeth street. this is just before midnight to check on a report of gunshots. when officers arrived they found a 24 year old man with multiple gunshots to his chest and arms. he was pronounced dead at the scene. if you have any information please, call philadelphia police. and shots were also fired last night in the kingsessing neighborhood of philadelphia. police say two men in their 20's were inside a deli, on the 6500 block of elmwood avenue. they got into some casino of argument with another man. the cops say that argument moved outside and a fourth man came up and opened fire on the two younger men. both were hit and taken to the hospital. they are expected to be okay. police are still looking for the shooter. >> in philadelphia police have charged a 19 year old with stabbing his mother to death and leaving his grandmother in critical condition, after stabbing her too. police have arrested zachary pritchett, cops say he first told investigators yesterday that three men came into his family home and attacked them. when cops arrived to the home, they found pritchett, 53 year old mother, dead. she been stabbed multiple times. his 67 or 73 year old grandmother still in critical condition tonight. pritchett faces a list of charges including murder. disturbing new developments in the investigation into the crash of germanwings flight 9525. prosecutors say the co-pilot who they think intentionally brought down the flight had been being treated for depression and a doctors note deeming him unfit to fly. >> memorial services are being held across france to remember the 150 people killed in this week's germanwings airliner disaster. meanwhile, the families of those victims are now talking. >> if there was a motive or a reason we do not want to hear t it is not relevant. what is relevant is this should never happen again everyone on that plane should not be forgotten ever. >> philip brahamly, father of british passenger killed urging airlines to quote properly look after their pilots. in hopes of preventing future airline tragedies resembling the one his son paul, lost his life some day that would make everyone know his name. >> french police say hundreds of human remains have been recovered from the site, among the passengers, three americans. hope is fading in new york city tonight rescue crews still searching for two people missing after a devastating gas explosion there. the apparent gas explosion leveled three apartment buildings, and it sparked a massive fire injuring 22 people. happened on thursday. investigators are still working to pinpoint the exact cause of the blast while continuing their search for the two missing men. one of them worked for sushi restaurant on the ground floor of one of those collapsed buildings. the other missing person was on a date inside the restaurant. officials say it could take still like a week for crews working around correct. >> are you able to tell us -- wondering someone out there who shot this officer -- >> there is no danger to the public with somebody being on the loose that shot this officer. >> no one is arrested? >> no, not at present. >> was his girlfriend home at the time? did you talk to her? we heard someone was taken away in hand cuffs. >> there was a female at the home. i can't confirm that it was his girlfriend. but there was a female. >> are you looking for someone? >> no. >> charges, can you characterize the charges, are you looking at homicide? >> at this time we believe so. >> chief, for you and your officers ... >> four year veteran, 26 years old, after can american, he was a shining star in the department. he was an even tempered, nice, nice guy anybody that met him, he always had a good word for them. you know that. he knew how to talk to people and handle people. epp was part time officer that worked on the squad. i would say that there would have been my intention that the next time we hired full time officers i certainly would have recommended him due to the quality of his work. >> fire fighter? >> firefighter for number of years in the borough of yeadon, a number of their volunteers over there are very upset about it, as my guys are very upset about it. it is like we lost a member of our family, needlessly and there is not a lot more we can say until the investigation is completed and we find out exactly what went owning. >> -- on. >> but it appears some sort of domestic? >> at this time, i don't think that either one of us can say that, because we don't know all of the facts. and i think it would be -- it wouldn't be -- it wouldn't be smart on either one chief mcdevitt or myself part to say yes that it was when in fact we don't know. i think everybody has to just take a deep breath here, let the investigation go, let's get everybody together, get all of our fact together, so we come back to this table again we can tell you exactly as close as we can what took place. >> that's correct. >> and i'm assured by tomorrow afternoon sometime we will be at that stage. >> i would like to add though, if i could that the officer was taken to fitzgerald mercy then transported to presbyterian hospital to the trauma unit. i would like everyone to know that fitzgerald hospital did a tremendous job for the severity of his injuries, and so did presbyterian trauma unit, we can't say enough about either one of those two facilities that tried information my opinion humanly possible to save the officer's life but it just wasn't there. >> appear just one shot fired? >> yes, sir. >> you just heard from darby borough police chief bob smyth, revealing the information, sad to report that a darby borough police officer has been shot and killed tonight. we are told a four year veteran, 26 year old police officer, who chief smyth described as shining star in the police department, part time officer, used to be a fire fight nerve yeadon, is dead tonight. so far no suspects are in custody, but police say they do expect an arrest on this sometime in the next few days. once again a 26 year old police officer from darby borough, offer duty police officer, shot and killed today. no identification, 26 year old, four-year veteran of the police department, dead tonight. joyce? >> all right, thank up, chris. well battle over religious freedom is brewing in indianna. this week governor mike pent signed a bill to allow businesses to refuse service based on their fate. now, thousands of protesters are expressing their concerns over what they call religious discrimination. bill also getting slammed on social media, with the hashtag boycott indianna. fox's will car has the story now from los angeles. >> there has been uproar, protest, and now even the nca apartment is weighing in on the new law in indianna. it is important to remember, that roughly 20 other states have similar laws to the one that governor mike just signed on thursday, it is based on federal law that was signed by president bill clinton back in 1993. end ann's new law comes after some christians have been sued or fined after refusing service to gay couples getting married. supporters say it is all about freedom of religion. but opponents including zombies owners, say it could lead to discrimination. >> my frustration with it is that it was passed in wrapping it around the flag of business ownership as if i needed this casino of protection. i didn't ask for this casino of protection. >> if i thought it was about discrimination, i would have vetoed it. in fact it, doesn't even apply to disputes between private individuals, unless government action is involved. >> the final four will be held in indianapolis next week, with that in for us, too. but it doesn't feel like it. still some flurries outside at least according to ultimate doppler right now. but as that storm system pushes out overnight we will see the clouds clear out flurries will ends, and the winds will diminish, too but chilly saturday. high temperatures today in philadelphia hit 41 degrees, normal 47, well below the record. 20's, 27 allentown, 29 trenton, 33 atlantic city, 32 in wildwood, blustery all day still windy sustained speeds out of the north-northwest ten to 15 miles an hour and still occasional gusts. see the wind diminish as i said overnight right now still gusting to 18 miles an hour here in philadelphia, to up 29 miles an hour in the poconos, and up in the poconos that keeps the windchill at just 2 degrees. so single digit windchills there for the rest of us, it feels like it is in the teens and the 20's, very chilly late march evening, fox future cast shows we do see skies continue to clear up, up early tomorrow morning, it is very chilly, we will rise to about 47 degrees for that afternoon high temperature still, 10 degrees below normal. seven day forecast, 47 tomorrow. that's the coolest we should be. fifty-six monday, notice it won't be nearly as biting outside, little milder, but with it clouds and showers. still chance for showers mid 50's tuesday, little cooler wednesday, as the front passes sunshine comes back out, the first day of april. second day of april looks the best, 63 and sunny then april showers into next weekends, looks cooler by saturday. i think finally maybe maybe the weather at least looks to break for at least seeing high temperatures back to normal if not slightly above. we saw some that far this past week. came with the rain, will at times this important because as you can see the fifth grader does not appear to be overweight. her mom said she is tall for her age because she is on a swim team, more muscular. but this assessment, which the girl took at school, says cher body mass index hire than the healthy level and needs improvement. >> what type of exercise that you do. the school didn't ask you what did you eat. the school just told her by how much she wade, and what her height is she toll her you're fat. >> at least how she red it, for protein sensitive to her changing body, and how it looks, the a sessionment crushed her. >> we're required by the state to do a fitness assessment first through 12th grade. >> been that way for four years in george a governor began the shape fitness initiative, because georgia was one of the unmark paper's grave in delaware county they came to honor the founder everyone of the largest public service organizations in the country. it was a tribute 52 years in the making for pauline, one of 22 college co-eds who founded delta sigma fata sorority incorporated more than century ago. a group of which i too a.m. a proud member. pauline, a graduate of girls high right here in philadelphia made history in 1913 on the campus of howard university. and shy took part in the for for women's right to vote. the singer, author, acclaimed educator, died in obscurity 50 years later burried in a plot along with three other unclaimed souls, lost until the research team from the philadelphia charm err of the sorority solved the mystery and set in motion today's ceremonies restore dignity and a permanent monument. on org pauline and the other people burried with her past national president doctor thelma e daily presided. >> we remember now with joy and festive at this, the life of pauline
