ground we're still looking at those slick spots and temperatures are critical. we're at 30 degrees right now so below freezing. so anything that looks wet out there is going to turn into black ice. in fact look at the temperatures right now. 30 in millville. 30 in dover as well as wildwood and atlantic city. temperatures north and west in the upper 20s. so when you wake up tomorrow morning, use caution on he had he those roadways allow extra time. there's also some drizzle and mist around so that's going to turn into, yes patchy freezing fog so watch out for the black ice. temperatures bottom out in the 20s. some of the snowfall totals come coming in new jersey and delaware saw anywhere from one to 3-inches. bridgeton, vineland, almost about 3-inches in vineland as we move toward pennsylvania, only a half an inch in philadelphia as well as exton that. clipper is moving away. but take look at this. to the west, dallas looking at rain. snow toward the texas panhandle and this o'connell live in mill millville, new jersey tonight one of the hardest hit areas today. chris? >> reporter: iain luckily the snow has stopped falling here in cumberland county, but for the afternoon rush hour, we were out in it. i can tell you it was snowy it was slow, it was sloppy. like scott just told us about 3-inches of snow fell here in cumberland county. we're right now in millville. for some people it was a big nuisance but for others it was actually a welcomed site. >> it's quiet. it's peaceful. >> reporter: carol walker doesn't seem to mind the fresh blanket of snow coating her millville neighborhood and we learned out why she doesn't mine mine. >> i'm leaving for vacation saturday. so it's all good. >> reporter: where you going? >> on cruise to the caribbean. >> reporter: well, it ain't the caribbean no, this is cumberland county new jersey. where people were out with their shovels clearing sidewalks trucks were busy plowing and salting. but even with just a couple inches -- >> it's terrible. it's terrible. >> reporter: the roadways got slick as the sun went down. >> the snow but the black ice i worry about. >> reporter: no surprise that local supermarkets were busy with customers worried about the weather and here at home depot shovels, salt and scrapers were the hot sellers on a cold snowy night. those who remember last year's brutal winter know you can't be too prepared. >> past couple of years we've had a lot of snow. so, you know, once it accumulates enough people get tired of shoveling and they're ready to invest in a snowblower. >> reporter: but many don't seem to mind the first snowfall of the year. after all winter isn't winter without some snow. >> want add whole lot more. i remember when i was kid that's what i remember. i remember like 4 icy patches as the temperature drops here and speaking with some of those plow guys, they're actually looking forward when we told them another storm is on the way. once again they said bring it on. mercury is dropping. fox 29's shawnette wilson joins us live from the penndot maintenance yard tonight. sean knelt, this could be a messy morning commute. >> reporter: it could be, lucy. i just heard chris o'connell mentioning the potential of roads freezing over. i can physical you that trucks have been coming and going here all evening and penndot says more will be at midnight to get out to treat those roads. penndot trucks at this maintenance yard in south philly are lined up and loaded. crews are getting ready for what today's snow, rain and temperatures could do to roads overnight. >> the roads could surprise you when you let your guard down. >> reporter: joseph says this weather brings back to hyped sunday when we all woke up to dangerous roads and lots of accidents on the highway. >> whoever heard of 60 car pile ups and the conditions of the road surprised everyone. >> reporter: e earlier today though, the roads weren't too bad around the city as snow flurries came down. >> snow is very -- happy time. beautiful snow. >> reporter: retired restaurant owner george says the snow was so light he still came out dressed up and in his finest shoes to have dinner. >> tonight i don't need it but it's really snow i got boots. >> reporter: even though the weather caused schools to dismiss early some think what fell today is hardly snow. >> if i'm going to live in a place with four seasons i want to experience all four. ooh want to make snowman. this is a waste. >> reporter: this group thought it was perfect weather to take their friend visiting from israel on a tour of philadelphia. >> it's fun weather. snow is kind of -- not annoying you can still walk in it. kind of still see the city. >> reporter: snow flurries tapered off early evening in the city leaving wet streets behind and leaving drivers concerned about the morning rush. >> it's good to slow down just for not only your safety but the other people's concerns. >> reporter: all right. simple advice but good advice. again, penndot says that they've had trucks out salting throughout the evening. that will continue throughout the night and trucks will be on stand by to treat any slick spots latest forecast and any problems out the road all starting at 4:00 a.m. only on fox tonight a plea from a stepmom to her son. the family of an accused serial robber wants him to just give it up. police are after cartel wright, jr., he's behind several armed robberies. cops say he pulled off last two actually the last 12 days ago. his family is speaking only to fox 29's dave schratwieser and he joins us from police headquarters in center city tonight. dave his stepmom got to be so worried. >> reporter: she is worried. she's worried he's going to be shot. that's what she told us tonight. fbi and u.s. marshals have now joined this search for cartel wright jr. investigators tell us they believe he's hiding out in south west philadelphia or darby borough. tonight we spoke exclusively with his stepmother who wants him to turn himself in. >> we want you to turn yourself in please turn yourself in. >> reporter: empassioned police from the stepmother of cartel wright, jr. wednesday night urging the 4984 old suspect to surrender to police. >> i want to you turn yourself in because i don't want to see in you a casket. your father is gone. your mother is gone. >> ben again davis made her public plea as his one man crime spree continues. monday night police say he robbed this walgreens in darby at gun point. the gun toting bandit is also a suspect in nine robberies in philadelphia and another in lower merion. >> the live you doing, what you doing is not not right. >> wright aka kevin jones has become increasingly violent. on january 11th detectives say he robbed this rite aid in west philly then carjacked a 65-year-old man in the parking lot. >> slow to get out of the car. points the gun at him and threatens to shoot him and pulls his arm out of the car and puts the gun to his back and threatens to shoot him again. >> wright used force at a gun point robbery at a mc donald's. >> he got the gun raised. starts yelling and screaming goes to a female employee throws her at the ground. he's getting more aggressive. >> stop robbing stop pointing that gun at people. somebody will shoot you if you don't stop. >> reporter: now police have warrants in fire broke out at an apartment building in edgewater right around 5:00 tonight and firefighters say everyone inside did make it out safely. high winds and frigid temperatures are making this battle a really tough one and five hours later you saw it, the flames are still shooting sky high. a once beloved philadelphia tv personality is in jail tonight. don tollefson was taken out of court in handcuffs after being couldn't havinged on all five counts of theft and fraud. the jury taking 12 hours to reach their verdict. the jury foreman and even to have tollefson himself spoke about the case. >> the jury has spoken and i believe -- i believe in our legal system. >> i think he's a good guy. and eventually his life fell apart and he wasn't able to adapt, and -- >> you think what he did was criminal by your verdict. >> it was. the evidence was there. >> buck county prosecutors say tollefson defrauded more than 200 people. the 62-year-old now faces up to 37 years in prison. this woman high school coach is in big trouble accused of attacking another coach with her teeth. >> what happened that would make you that angry to bite somebody like an animal? >> police say started this fight another storm the way. police are after robbers who held up a mini mart in philadelphia's ogontz neighbor. the surveillance video shows the robbers guns in hand demanding cash. it happened yesterday on the 2,000 block of west spencer street. police say they got away with $300. that employee not hurt. just releaseed dash cam video shows what happened the night cumberland county officers shot and killed a man in bridgeton late last month. the video is intense showing the last moments of jeremy read's life. >> show me your hands! show me your bleep hands! >> dash cam video obtained by the south jersey times and nj nj.comedy tails the deadly encounter 1336-year-old jeremy reid and two bridgeton police officers who fired multiple shots killing him. it starts when one of the officers tells the two men in the blue jaguar they were pulled over for running a stop sign. after asking for the driver's license and registration, this happens. >> show me your hands! show me your bleep hands! >> an officer spots a firearm. >> get them out the car. he got a gun in the glove compartment. >> guns drawn the officer tells the passenger to remain still. >> he reach for something you'll be bleep dead. he's reaching much he's reaching reaching! >> reid can be heard demanding to be let out of the car. he gets out hands at his chest and shot several times. witnesses are still in shock. >> all of us that were there in the yard began screaming why did you shoot him? why did you shoot him? he had his hands up. why did you shoot him? >> miller and other friends of reid gathered outside the cumberland county prosecutor' office denouncing the shooting. >> my opinion the video it was very -- i didn't appreciate it. >> the group joined by the atlantic city chapter of the national action network urged prosecutor jennifer web mcrae's office to vacate the case allegedly she knew one of the officers. >> we're demanding that prosecutor mc ray recuse her entire staff from this investigation. >> reporter: we cop tacked the prosecutor's office and the attorney general. we have not yet heard back. the officers involved in this shooting are on leave. and we learned that one of the officers actually stopped jeremy reid once before for allegedly having drugs and resisting arrest. reid did prison time about a dozen years for shooting at state troopers years ago. in the newsroom, dave kinchen fox 29 news. the family of the comedian killed in crash involving tracy morgan has settled its wrong death lawsuit against wal*mart. that crash on the new jersey turnpike killed james mcnair and seriously injured tracy morgan last june. they and others were in limo bus when wal*mart tractor trailer slammed into them from behind. morgan is still recovering from traumatic brain injury. a massive prescription drug rink in philadelphia has gone down. this raid is part of a two-year long investigation. pennsylvania attorney general kathleen kane says the operation sold oxycodone in 44 counties array cross the street. prosecutors charged 22 people. investigators say the group used forged prescriptions and stolen information from physicians to rake in millions of dollars. and court documents just out show a grand jury says there's residential grounds to charge attorney general kathleen kane with perjury and other charges including obstruction in an investigation in november. now kane admitted that an investigation was delving into leaks of secret grand jury material in another case. investigators say a routine traffic stop in delaware leads to a major drug bust. 32-year-old duvon tucker is now in jail on drug related charges. troopers pulled him over for speeding. they say he had marijuana and over 14,000 bags of heroin in his trunk. the street value of all of that $150,000. the saga of the revel casino hotel continues tonight. one side is happy. one side not so much. a judge is letting the sale of revel proceed and its tenants are not happy at all. they wanted the judge to put the sale to a florida developer on hold while they appealed its terms. those tenants include a nightclub, a restaurant an power plant and they say the way the sale terms right now it could wipe them out. sales price is more than $95 million and the developer putting up that money threatened to walk but the judge ruled in the tenants favor. favor is smiling on couple of sisters at holy redeemer hospital in meadow brook. >> these two sisters gave birth to two daughters on the same day just hours apart. and these two northeast philadelphia siblings didn't even have the same due date. but the first sister had her baby girl and when the second came to visit she started having contractions as well she left the hospital, came back and gave birth less than poof hours after her sister to a baby girl as well. they still can't believe it happened the way it did. >> first i kind of thought maybe i was um, just all the excitement and the anxiety of her having her baby and i was like i can't be in labor. but it was. it was happening. >> like i said department about it having but we didn't think it would. we were 10 days apart and i had never been induced before. we just figured if it's not going to happen too far apart but it did. >> the babies were born this past monday as you can see both mothers and babies are doing just fine. >> super going to be just fine. kentucky schoolbus driver was in court today facing charges for allowing a sex act on her bus. 31-year-old christie lawrence was charged with third degree sexual abuse and sexual misconduct over the weekend police say back in august she knew a 17-year-old planned to have a 12-year-old perform a sex act on him. the incident happened in the seat right behind her and was caught on the bus' surveillance video. lawrence was fired several months ago. in baltimore tonight a medical examiner is going to try to identify two bodies pulled from the rubble of a mansion fire. the $6 million waterfront property erupted into flames early monday morning it took 85 firefighters 10 hours to battle it. and douse the hot spots. investigators believe a couple and their four grandchildren were inside the home. cadaver dogs and searcher found two bodies today and are continuing to look for the others. investigators don't yet know what started that fire. why would a man bulldoze his own home? that is what his wife is asking. >> she's homeless now and he's in jail. the middletown new york woman came home to an empty lot. she says she still doesn't know why her husband of nine years did it. police say he rented and excavator and knock down the home without a permit. everything inside the house is destroyed. >> we weren't fighting. we weren't arguing. i don't know what happened. i don't know anything. >> i asked him just kidding around if he was going to knock the house down with a bulldozer? and he said yeah. but i thought he was just kidding. >> a man told police he bulldozed the home because it was in such bad shape it was beyond fixing. shopper sea sees a man with a gun walk into wal*mart and he jumps into action and take the man down. why he's in and out this yard and head out to the roads to make all the roads safe for you. >> what are we looking at scott. >> right now that clipper it's moved out of here but we still have winter weather advisories through 8:00 a.m. tomorrow. pretty much area wide. we have some drizzle. we have some fog. and temperatures below freezing not a pretty good combination. but look at ultimate doppler. that clipper moved through as expected most of that activity is now well offshore but in its wake we saw from one to about 3-inches of snowfall in new jersey and delaware. bridgeton, 3.3-inches. vineland almost 3-inches and as we move towards someone delaware, and newark one to 2-inches. now in pennsylvania, not a whole lot of snow a half an inch in philadelphia. as well as exton. berks county a little over an inch. so maybe some flurries toward the poconos until midnight but fairly quiet conditions other than that freezing patchy fog across the area so tomorrow morning we are looking at that black ice. so as we look at the temperatures you can see at or below freezing area wide. 30s a popular number atlantic city, millville dover 30. 30 in wilmington as well as philadelphia and then 27 degrees is a popular number north and west of philadelphia. so for tonight patchy freezing drizzle. slick spots out there. and then we'll watch a part of this energy right now in texas turn into a nor'easter as early as friday night into saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. looking at rain along the coast and a good band of snow setting up right along that i-95 corridor and it could be a plowable event with that nor'easter. so a potential nor'easter the timing right now overnight friday into saturday and yes moderate to heavy snow is likely inland. gusty wind and rain along the coast stay tune. temperatures tomorrow top out in the low 40s with decreasing clouds and morning slick spots. we're quiet for friday and then we're watching the coast for that nor'easter potentially as we move toward saturday. it should be an all day thing. then we get a break on sunday and, yes more snow chances likely early next week. so a very active pattern it looks like is setting up shop across our area. lucy and iain back to you. >> high school basketball coach in georgia is way more than benched following a nasty fight. >> she's facing criminal charges arrested for allegedly biting another coach. police say melanie martin was charged with battery and making terroristic threats. according to the arrest warrant she told the other coach quote i'll beat your you know what and knock your teeth out of your face. witnesses say she bit the coach's upper eye and knows and through a chair at him node less to say it's got people in the area stunned. >> what happened? what would make you back and kick the girl on the back side. police say that she later apologized for hurting the baby but never admitted to kicking her in the head. daycare fired her and she now faces child abuse >> you never think -- someone is going to be in business. >> reporter: rebecca rue says not the only area motorist who started the new year with a big bill for removal of bad gas that she is certain she got from this gulf at 1200 route 73, pennsauken. she's certainly not the only area motorist deeply frustrateed. by the mere total silent from the station. >> at some point call the manager or owner for me. >> this man pumps gas. >> i've had a couple of people come by, i'm a tv reporter, say they bought bad gas here the weekend of january 2nd and their. their car broke down out on the bridge. >> i have no idea about that. >> reporter: well, it turns out he does know a little more than what he's saying. we'll get back to him in a minute. first, freddie sanchez. >> once i took off from the gas station about two minutes after that, my car started losing power and choking on me. >> reporter: sanchez says he put about 25 bucks of gas into his wife's suv at the gulf that same day. he says he limped to palmyra with a car -- where the car gave out. police officer approached and sanchez told him where he'd been been. >> they selling bad gas. at this moment i have few cars, you know, broke down on 73 and close to the bridge and they are saying the same thing you told mow. that's where i'm going right now. >> reporter: in fact a spokesperson for the burlington county bridge commission the agency which runs the tacony-palmyra bridge tells fox 29 investigators on january january 3rd their police were involved with about six vehicles that had broken down in and around the bridge adding several motorists indicated they got gas at the gulf on route 73. he claims he shell out over 200 bucks to clear the gas and his wife lost a full day of work. sanchez says, he got a phone number from one of the workers for the guy in charge. you give him call? >> about five times. >> reporter: five times? >> you don't get one cull back? >> nope. >> reporter: nothing? >> nothing. >> reporter: we called that same number and received a return call from paul sing who said he was the operator of the station. he said the gulf is owned by oil much edgewater new jersey the phone he admitted the station did have problem in early january with a faulty rub brrr lining inside the lid of a gas tank. he said police had contacted them as well as two motorists with complaints. he claimed the problem was quickly repaired and wondered why motorists had come to us. >> they've called you and they can't get anything from everybody she went to a tv station. >> remember that worker who said he had no idea about problems with the gas? >> turns out he did. >> apparently six cars broke down on the bridge. you don't remember that happening? >> that's we gas thing inside his rubber. that broke down. my boss said he can take care of that. >> water got in, you think that's what happened. yes. >> so it did happen. yes. >> reporter: one more issue. we called camden county weights and measures to ask that they'd received any complaints about the gulf. they said not recently. but sent out an inspector on january 15th. that's him. checking the pumps and pulling samples. what did they find?
