The creature looked down on a growing crowd in burlington county. Then hit the ground and took off again. And fox 29 is there for it all. This story is breaking as we go on the air tonight. Reporter good evening, dawn and iain. It is very difficult to keep up with this bear tonight because he has been all over town. I spoke with Police Moments ago who tell us that the bear was last seen where we are at the dear Wood Country Club this is right on the border of westampton and mt. Holly. We couldnt believe what we saw. The bear was running. It jumped over the persons gate cut through the backyard. Maurice how well he and his neighbors all got a glimpse of the black bear thats been running all over town. He was probably like 300 pounds. He wasnt little. Reporter neighbors say between seven and 7 30 wednesday night, he was spotted behind this vacant house at 67 dover road. In the tree. Jennifer myers got close and snapped these photos. But says the bear eventually ran off towards mt. Holly. We followed it all the way from mt. Laurel out this way. He was in holiday village. He took a dip in the retention pond. And he headed towards this way. Reporter bear made several stops along the way. Skyfox was overhead as he went up in a tree. I mean i was kind of like in shock. It happened just before 9 00 oclock on the 900 block of edgemoor road in overbrook. Medic rush the man to the hospital of the university of pennsylvania. He is in critical but stable condition. So far, police have made no arrests. A 15 year old boy is safe tonight after a terrifying experience in northeast philadelphia. Police found him after an abduction and Home Invasion officers say the teen was walking home when three armed men abducted him and took him to his house. They tied up the family and robbed him. Then took off with the son still with him. Police found the boy nearby a short time later. He is okay and the boys dad is relieved. We dont worry about material things, money, jewelry. We dont worry about that. We worry about my son. The boys father said they may have been targeted. They own several businesses and the suspects may have known they had cash inside. Police are looking for a silver soup subaru stationwagon with tinted windows. Philadelphia police just released this Surveillance Video showing the man who they believe sexually assault add woman in northern liberties. Officers say the victim, a young man was leaving club trill log on the 600 block of Spring Garden street last month. A stranger offered her a ride home which she septembered. The estimated 40,000 that were seized probably around 30 to 35,000 bees inside there. You can see theyre acting a little calm tonight. Reporter armed with only a brush and wearing a bee suit, don of the Philadelphia Bee Company got to work at the valley forge interchange after countless honey bees invaded this pennsylvania turnpike toll plaza. This is one of the most interesting ones that weve do done. Youll get swarms on bicycles and airplanes from time to time but this is the first time one ive had on a toll plaza. Reporter massive swarm shifted toll collectors and turned two lanes into ez pass only. People were driving up to the toll booth and giving them a heads up. They saw the swarm come down the highway with the cars. And then landed up here on the toll booth. Reporter don says removing the queen was the key to clearing the cluster. There they all come. Watch this. Reporter he used this box as the new. Once they we seal it up. We leave the entrance open. The other bees start smelling the queen license fly into the box. Reporter not all bought into the game plan because the queens except was still around the toll plaza. No real way to get all of them. Over the next few hours to day or two the smell will diminish and the bees will fly back hopefully to the hi they came from. Swarming becomes more common as the temperature rises. Thats nuts. Fortunately this swarm stung less than the toll. When theyre swarming theyre really gentle. Theyre not sting threat. You could stick your hand recently into a swarm and not get stung as long as you did it slowly. The bee keeper tells me he was stung around 10 times while he was out there which is why im not getting any closer than where im standing to these bees right now. Next to the bees theyll do what they do best produce honey. Were told that batch could produce somewhere between 30 to 60 pounds of honey. Well, a dramatic step from philadelphias District Attorney regarding the controversy surrounding a decision to shut down a corruption sting of local politicians. This is the case that exploded in march when it was revealed that attorney general Kathleen Kane killed a probe of city politicians. Now Philadelphia Da Seth Williams is taking the case to a grand jury. Attorney general kane shut down the program in part because it was probe in part because it was racially tainted. A grand jury will take a look at it. This isnt going to be out there floating. The public needs to know that something will be done. The attorney general had no comment District Attorney williams hinted the probe could inn stir more politicians.
