Not completely dry. So, you might have to deal with some rain. The areas that could see the rain could be where a lot of people are headed, down the shore, here, looking at things pretty quiet on the radar screen, but there will be a few soars developing later today, pretty much well south of philadelphia, through delaware, and hitting part of south jersey. So watch for that later this afternoon, rain pushed south. Things pretty quiet for now no matter where you are stepping outside, it is dry comfortable, 7075 degrees there with bus stop buddy. Well have to fix that, he is walking on water. Pretty amazing there. A lot of people headed to the shore, nice and comfortable no rain out there that may change here coming up later today, as we check out what is happening here as far as the numbers go. Pretty much a seven again not great day that rain will keep these numbers down just a bit. Not everywhere, pretty much well south of the city. Seventyone as you step outside in the city. Very light breeze out there relative humidity is down, nice and comfortable, that humidity taking a break that wind picked up yesterday brought drier air in, so pretty comfortable. Temperatures mid to low 60s up north, mount pocono at 54 degrees, mid 60s here to the south but that winds will bring some of this cooler air in, little later today. May hit the warmest part of the day here in philadelphia right about noon. And that could be with temperatures into the mid 80s then dropping down to 80 just little cooler for the p. M. Drive. Again, dry here in Center City Philadelphia, but that rain, we will keep an eye on that thats to the south of the city. Speaking of Center City Philadelphia detour dave, again, bob detour dave. Isnt that craze that i detour . It takes you 15 minute to go 12 traffic light all the way down south street. I have to talk about somebody about hitting reset lights on there. 4 00 two dealing with left over from nasty accident last night along route 309. Septa, routes 15, 101, 102 using Shuttle Bus Service and then throughout the morning ill pass along some of the detours, keep in mind with all of the welcome america festivities, street closures, septa bus routes will be on detour as well. Lauren, back to you. Thanks so much, bob. Police in camden investigating two incident from overnight first one happened at midnight second one shortly thereafter. Steve keeley over in camden with the latest. Hi steve. Reporter lauren, i wish i had more information. But were on park boulevard and haddon avenue right in the center of the city. To the video earlier the first shooting scene around midnight for report of Police Officer shot at, not hit but the vehicle may have been hit and so in our video you can see police scouring the whole area looking for any witnesses, and looking for anybody that will cooperate even if they were a witness. But when you hear gunshots this time of year, right before the fourth of july, your first first instinct will be all right somebody setting off fireworks often unless if you hear gunshots in camden, you are not looking for a gunman, you are look to go take cover and save yourself first. So a lot of people even if they are out on the street, arent going to see anything, because theyre driving for cover, hoping not to get shot by a stray bullet. Now, lets go to the second scene, that happened about an hour and a half later around 13 00 this morning where police were called to a scene, where a woman crashed her car after apparently being shot in the neck. Then they might have thought they had a second person that had a gunshot wound as well. So, two different scenes here in camden to start. The first two hours of the day before the fourth of july. So, a little early fireworks here and fortunately we dont have any person getting killed out here. But a very busy start of their thursday for the Camden County police department. Lauren . Now, we spoke with somebody who said he was a classmate of the teenager, as you can imagine, he was just in total shock, said as soon as he heard the news about this possible drowning, that he rushed down here. He described the teenager as a popular athlete and friend. Just shock to me. Great kid. Very hard worker on and off the football field especially with the school, you know, always, always happy always smiling, and im going to miss him a lot. To have Something Like this happen to him i just dont believe it is fair, especially someone so positive, and so high on life. Now police are not yet officially releasing this teenagers name. We have some rain came through the area last night very early this morning, even few thunderstorms, could see this redevelop again this afternoon for right now quiet. More rain developing, that could be coming in late this morning, continuing throughout early afternoon. Those storms that came through yesterday have pushed south so philadelphia, to the north, is clear. But there is will be a few days of pattern like this here. Fronts through. But getting the areas of low pressure moving along this front, which is now stationary, not going any further south. It will try to creep it way back north maybe some of the rain comes into the philadelphia area by about saturday for the fourth. Focus on the rain today. This is computer forecast, time here about noon, and rain redevelops here, maybe even few thunderstorms. It goes as far north as Atlantic City, not quite up to philadelphia. These are just spotty showers trying to develop, i really dont think well see much in the way of rain to the north of philadelphia, and specially, northern suburbs. But this area of rain will slowly begin to clear out by tonight, and push further south by tomorrow morning. Soap, this is just happening today. Early this morning about early afternoon. As far as the temperatures go now, well, into the mid to low six 60s did climb up to 71 in philadelphia, cools off just a bit in millville. And right along the shore point here, temperatures are into the mid 70s what will happen here, at the shore is were looking at temperatures climbing up just a bit today. But then dropping for both saturday and sunday. So it looks like today will be the warmest day there. We have that rain to deal with. The showers are south today few clouds tomorrow, now some that far rain to the south may try to creep its way north saturday for the fourth, it will be around in the morning but clear out by the afternoon, in fact, dry weather comes in everywhere on sunday, nice end to the long weekend here with mix every sunday and clouds. Heating up monday, 89 degrees, tuesday, it is warm, and humid, almost up to 90. And we have showers storms, back in the forecast by the middle of the week. Otherwise, pack some smacks and juice boxes for the kids, because were going to have a jammo headed to the shore f youre not up and over by 2 00 i would just forget about it, hang tight stay at home, get some chores done maybe take the gang out to dinner then head back down after 8 00. It is that crunch time that you want to try to a individual if you are headed to the shore for the Holiday Weekends. Downtown we go. Live look at the vine street expressway. Still shut down here, at broad street. Again, that overnight construction between broad and the schuylkill expressway, theyre going to be out there until about 5 00. So you can use either south or Spring Garden, if you are coming in off the schuylkill expressway, or vine st. Local if you are coming off of i95. Finally, a break with very few showers out there. Little break though, because they are coming back. They are across delaware. These will be sliding to the south throughout the afternoon, and evening so seeing dry break for now but there is rain back in the forecast. Get away day down at the shore, buddy there 70, 75 degrees, not worried about the rain yet. That could be a problem this afternoon. You step outside, it is nice, comfortable, humidity down, not muggy like it was but the showers are still back in the forecast, not everywhere, though, so call it a seven today. Little further south, that number might drop little bit. But little father north, nice and comfortable, keep it right at seven. Not bad. Seventyone, light breeze, relative humidity at 68 . Little cooler the north and western suburbs, almost down into the 50s, mount pocono, and it does warm up just a bit to 73 in wildwood, Atlantic City at 70. These numbers should stay about the same today. That wind will come in off the ocean. That will keep the temperatures cool, and we also have rain in the forecast, as well. That will keep the numbers down. Eightyfive, not as humid with showers to the south. We will talk little bit more about the rain, and how long it sticks around for thats coming up with the complete seven day forecast, traffic time, with bob kelly. Morning. Dave, good morning, just make sure the rain is out of wildwood, or i should say north wildwood, thats where i am headed tomorrow. Good morning everybody, 4 31 overnight accident, fatal accident still has route 309 south blocked just south every quakertown, we roll video from skyfox, when we pull up to the scene the vehicles actually off into the wooded area, thats off to the left side of your screen there, police have been investigating the crash for most of the overnight. And as we begin our morning rush hour, the southbound lanes of 309 remain closed. Now, if you come back to the maps here the best bet leaving quakertown, headed down toward lansdale, use the northeast extension of the pennsylvania turnpike, crews are still with us, downtown, Charlie Brown the vine expressway still blocked both ways between broad street and the schuylkill expressway. You know the drill. It is part of the overnight construction. If you are coming off of 95, pushed off at broad street, and you can use vine st. Local. If you are coming offer the schuylkill, you connect at south and Spring Garden, then of course hit all of the traffic light, that are not timed or singed up i should say, takes you extra ten minute to kind of make it through the detour. Burlington bristol closed with construction, until about 5 00 this morning. So hook one that talcony palmyra. Looking for fireworks . We have them for you. After the phillies game. Lauren back to you. Bob, following breaking news out of the philippines. Coast guard there says 36 people are dead, 19 still missing after ferry capsized over 100 people have been rescued so far. Of course, we dont have any more information into how this happened. As soon as we get new information well pass it along to you. Police in camden investigate too long incidents from overnight, one happened at midnight the other shortly thereafter. Steve keeley live over in camden at the second scene hi steve. Well, lauren, we moved over here to the south 27th street. You can see still very active here unlike the first scene and a a lot of evidence markers in fact, one officers just came back to the car where we are to get even more evidence markers. This happened at 1 30, what they have here in camden is something called a shot spotter. That say some high series of high definition, high intensity microphones throughout the city. So it picks up specific sounds of gunshots, doesnt confuse them even with the backfiring after car. So even if nobody reports any gunfire, they hear about it at headquarters. So, two set of gunfire overnight here. And this is the latest one. What they got when they got here was a woman in a car that crashed into a pole. So we go to the video of. That will you can see appears to be a black ford taurus, and she was shot in the neck. And then they had a second call for another plan of a second person possibly shot out here, as well. No information yet from the police. You can see why. They are still actively trying to find out what happened themselves with flashlights. So battling darkness here, they do have couple of street lights working here, to help them. But you can see, a lot of flashlights, and a lot of questions probably on their behalf, as well. The advantage that woman had surviving, is we are real close to cooper hospital. So, they got her right over there into surgery no report on her or what happened here, beyond what were just telling you, now we go to the original scene this happened around midnight, right in the center of town, at park boulevard, and haddon avenue. Not too far from camden high school, in fact, and again gunfire there. This may have involved a Police Officer and a Police Officers car and fortunately the officer no reports of the officer being hit but maybe the car hit. And so that was their first scene here, as they started a very violent thursday, and the first 94 minutes of this day lauren, so well get on the other side of this and see if we can get better shot of the car now maybe have little daylight throughout the morning, maybe some answers to enlighten us, as well, from the police little later on. Yes, hoping the victim made it to the hospital in time. Steve keeley, thanks so much. There were some showers, few thunderstorms, that came through last night slightly wider view shows a lot of the activity to the south here in philadelphia to the north pretty clear. But we go right into this forecast showing you whats happening here. First off this afternoon, the area of rain, will pass by south of philadelphia, right along this front which has stalled, to our south. It was pushing through nicely being bringing the clearing out a lot of the humidity, the storms yesterday. Stalled to the south and these areas of low pressure will move along t so trying to time this over the next three days, because it will impact the weather, not quite everywhere, but we will see some rain coming in for not only today but tomorrow, the fourth, sunday. So first off this first area of rain. The timing of this looks like it will be about late this morning, and noon, it is going along that front, which is to the south so, Atlantic City, cape may county, delaware, kent county, in delaware, all seeing some rain, possibly even thunderstorm even going little further south storms could fire up again. Not quite make it up to philadelphia, these little green specs here really dont think well see much in the way of rain or shower from the city to the north. But, it is to the south, it is our focus of the rain. It will be clearing out overnight tonight. So by tomorrow morning things could be improving briefly. We will see temperatures cooling offer just a bit. But the rain closer out overnight tonight. Speaking of these temperatures, little cooler, especially to the north. Mid to low 60s in the north and western suburbs 71 degrees in philadelphia. And in the poconos this weekend, cool start, on saturday, but sunday, looks pretty nice, it is 78 degrees. Phillies game tonight gets an earlier start at 81 degrees, just few clouds out there with just light breeze. But remember, after the game, certainly not to scale, will be impressive fireworks show. I know, just watch this. Dont even go to the game. Going your house. Impressive fireworks. After the game, fireworks underway. First off the temperatures are into the mid 80s it, does start to warm up, little bit over the weaken berks the next area of rain comes in Early Saturday Morning mainly in the morning mainly to the south. It clears out by sunday. Sunday monday, look very nice, just warming up little bit. Humidity is back with thunderstorm chance there for the middle of the week. Fireworks bob kelly . You got it, 4 47.
