Bill you guys, the storm is here. Coverage, michael, im going to start with you. It has started to snow. We confirm that. Okay. It was like 60 degrees last week. Potentially a foot and a half of snow. I have nothing else to say. Please make sense of this. Up in northwestern new jersey, sussex county, bergen county, i have been up in that part of new jersey and you are looking at at least 2 feet of snow, some could get a little bit more up there. The farther south that you go, you have to start worrying that warmer air is coming from the ocean and that you can mix that precipitation with sleep and certainly coastal new jersey. And so the accumulation really pays off the further south and east that you go. You start getting toward wildwood, toward cape may. An inch or two before it changes to sleep. Essential parts of new jersey, three to 6 inches, six to 12 inches in parts of new jersey. Where it doesnt mix, i think its more likely west of 287 and especially in the hills of northwest new jersey. New york city is a tough call. Right now im thinking six to 1. If this does not going to get over a foot of snow very easy. What about the timing . Somewhere between four and five in the morning, central new jersey. It is snowing, it is going to be snowing hard. Behind the storm we are going to get another shot of cold air. It is going to feel more like early february than middlemarch. Think of this as winters revenge and the revenge is going to be quite a bit. Thank you. Bill lets check in with brian donahue. You have your meteorology. He philosophy here. A big snowstorm presents us all with their toys. Youre going to freak out, panic, or you are going to embrace it and revel in a great snowstorm. I spent the morning in two places with a full range, supermarket and a liquor store. Here is the fruits superfood store at red bank. We have been busy since we opened at 7 00 oclock a. M. And we have lines already in. It is all about the breads and mouth. He was three or four or understand that. A bread delivery guy for bimbo bakery, he looked frantic and so i had to give him a hand. A longer day and a few more hours. So im not going to be able to do that. He is the least panicked person. And then diane as well. She is still in her trunk with logs. I am ready. All i need is a fire and a book. Then i went off to spirit liquors in middletown. Home of the favorite evil clown. People are stocking up for the storm comes in panicking as always. But we dont get many people in here. But right now it is almost like at would be. I think that he is the most relaxed until person i have people get mouth, but do they get alcohol . Wind . Dear. There are plenty of the people stocking up. I got two bottles of red one myself. So i am okay. It is called stone untransformed craft. Thing about how huge this is for small business. A cute. Any day for 23yearold. The senior was slated to graduate in may, but that moment th things became precarious unless youre fighting for herk. A truck traveling in front of the car lost a piece of metal. You can see it lasted through her windshield and struck the young woman. I want to warn the viewers before we look at this next photo. The injuries to her head and face are actually hard to look at. And ashleys mother is left searching for answers, she has undergone numerous surgeries to keep her alive. Complications from the surgery that occurred. You keep getting hit by the same wave over and over. Nothing is getting better. You just wish for like five seconds to build things up. Ashley is in home care and is one of the toughest people around. And the young family is bent but not broken. But they do believe that this accident is preventable. And the family does believe that with more oversight and regulation, people can be a little bit safer and craig huber was also on h hand and he let me know where the slaves legally. A lawsuit like we were able to have the court order, the dump truck of this vehicle to be preserved exactly as it is until there comes a time that forensic engineers can go in and learn about the cause of this malfunction. As you must have surmised, the medical bills are skyrocketing. The family has set up a go fund me page to offset the cost. I cannot imagine the horror that they are going through, the randomness and the tragedy. But having said that the lawyer suing to keep that on hold to make sure absolutely makes sense. But it is too much of a kneejerk reaction. That is 17 steps down the road. Keep us posted. Today we charged him with three murders and one attempted murder. He entered his plea of not guilty. This unassuming slender 20yearold, is he a serial killer . He appeared in the courtroom on monday morning. To hear the charges against him of triple indictment for murdering three women and trying to murder a fourth. The Authorities Say that he might be a serial killer. The police tied it to the death of sarah butler, the dancer that were missing just before thanksgiving and was found dead in eagle rock reservation. They since have charged him with two other murders and the attempted murder of a woman in elizabeth was able to flee from him and escape and later reported her tail to authorities. The attorney appeared in court alongside him. Afterwards which he said. At this point we have to determine what things are, i literally picked this up until i actually reviewed all the evidence in this case, i cannot really tell you what the defense is one to be, but what i can tell you is that when it person is indicted, it doesnt take as much evidence to indict the one as it does to convict someone. It is an entirely different standard of proof. Robin west, the woman from philadelphia, spending time in union county, disappeared in late august. Then joanne brown on october 22 encounters wheeler, allegedly in newark. They say that wheeler strangled her with his jacket and an then sarah butler goes missing and was later found on december 1. We dont know much about how they assemble their case, but this morning i got this affidavit from the Homicide Task force that says that they were able to track we were to his cell phone which he used to call joanne brown in october 2016 and she called her friend back on that same number. They were able to look at the cell phone records and figure out what they believe were his movements. But there is a lot of unknown questions. Namely, are there more victims . Investigations are always ongoing. All we know from this affidavit is that they knew each other well enough to have each others cell phone numbers which could mean something or next to nothing at all. After they are arrested and charged, that is what is important. [inaudible] prosecutors say theyre going to try to go full force on this. What happens next is that prosecutors will try to get a statement that he made in custody admitting to the crime. These posters were created by a group of sixth grade students from an Elementary School with appearance expressing concerns over the nature of assignments. If youre going to teach its time, america. Theres work to be done. Its not going to be easy but theres grit inside of you. And if you need extra motivation the grad fund at Strayer University can help push you forward. Because up to your last year of classes could be on us. Thats right. On us. Today is the day. Strayer university. Lets get it, america. You look so pretty in their. Thank you, you do too. Ashley is off to the day, so i will be obligated to you this update 2017. You are a dude. [laughter] lets check this video out. It is a High School Hockey game between these two teams, n handshakes called at the end. That infests. Instead of breaking them up, only in philadelphia, baby. Classy. Pictures. These slave auction posters were created by a group of students from South MountainElementary School in south orange, new jersey. It was part of an assignment during their colonial america election in school. The pictures were posted to facebook by one of the students from south orange, new jersey. She expressedd concerns about te nature of the assignment and the fact that it would have other students in the school. She also comments on the fact that black and brown students in the school will see these pictures outside of it in the class and not understand that those visas are supposed to be their faces. To all families feel this way . I was driving through the town of south orange and i saw a Neighboring School District to ask them how they thought about it. I think that it has to do with teaching with contacts. Initially Jonathan Thomas defended the project saying that the assignment serves to give students a more comprehensive understanding of colonial america. More concerns were raised by others in the School District. They recanted what they had said and they that they had been part of the School District for the last 10 years and that it was run with multiple options that students were given to complete this lesson plan. Schools all over america are asked these lessons in their schools every single year, but there is a different way that you can approach it. I spoke to a teacher in philadelphia that oozes to keep this lessons chooses to teach ts in this area. They are teaching them so that they should teach it the right way, if youre going to teach it, i encourage them to step out of the box you can have a whole approach as to what this was really about. Bill i cant help but ask if the spirit is pulling something out of context. This is a part of every curriculum across the country to teach about slavery. I feel proud parents spoke out. When i saw the poster and it was a woman named mary brown, i have an aunt named mary brown, it was too much of, especially how i felt at a fifthgrade level. That is how that teacher chose to teach that lesson, that all happened. You may not be comfortable with it. There are a lot of parents were not comfortable with it. With what they are teaching in school but the fact that the posters were hung throughout the school to great that are not privy to the information and do not understand the context of what is happening. They see the posters and faces that look like theirs and they dont understand why the posters are up. That is the real problem. After increased Media Attention and result of this project, john almost issued another statement saying that we it was not our intention, we recognize that the example of a slave auction poster, although historically relevant, was culturally insensitive. He also said that they are rethinking the colonial America Project for next year and that they will eliminate the example of a slave auction poster. I will keep you updated on any changes and of course, the date of the town hall meeting, follow me or of course at the show at chasing news. Check out this pair of snowboarders and had an unexpected guest to join them. And there was a moose. She turned around and there he was. Who says that only humans need sweaters when its cold . Is beer as fresh as it could possibly be. The back room is where we rolled up our sleeves. Were using barley malt that has come from two different years. We have hobs coming from two different regions. Trying to make a product that someone to members and comes back and bites again. So that is really the tricky thing for us to try to make that out of different material. You know, the temperature control makes a difference in how the beer tastes and that is more of a delicate process is maintaining a constant fermentation temperature. One of the first things that i knew i noticed about her was her pink feet. When i graduated and i went to i. T.
