They control the pay ranges that you are eligible for. And you know when individuals individuals start you know not feeling valued. Compensation is a you know a direct measure of that. So if they are not feeling directly from bosses company isnt showing them appreciation and seeing they are not rewarded properly from compensation perspective. Especially now when its easier to get Compensation Research done go online to find, you know through other sources, what your similar position are earning elsewhere. Does, let me ask you this though. Does, if you cant get to the point where you feel like youre being compensated youre doing, does feeling valued help that . It helps quite a bit. Sometimes when youre ingrained with the organization you feel valuable. Youre doing challenging work. Youre doing all of these things. Sometimes you kind of stop thinking about paycheck. For many people paycheck gets dump into direct deposit thp then review time comes. We talked sensitivity already compensation review and performance reviews things like that in the past. But at last good time again they focus so much on percentage of you as an employee, how important you are. Right . Both do. And you know bosses have something to do with that. They can start recommending you for task forces that going on you may not be aware of that makes you feel more valuable. Company does have responsibility in that as well providing opportunities for advancement. Or at least engagement into parts of the business you may not have the opportunity to do on your own. So all of these things are sort intertwined boss can help enhance this company can help structure better paths for it as will pie want to hear you so, ive kind of always believed theres a sign of what makes you stay and go. When you look at your Business Card and youre proud of your maim being next to logo on the Business Card you can stay. Conversely when Company Looks at your name next to their logo, and they are proud of it, they will invite you to stay. When you stop losing that pride whatever that internal feeling is im just not proud of that company any more. Probably time to start looking. I think people really take inventory of what company does for its people. Hard to balance you know your teenagers friends and then your new family is it hard to balance the two . So im always with my friends and my family. I specifically mom talking to you last year you really wanted to talk about the importance of adopting teenager and how a lot of people are reluctant because they think you know if they are adopting teenager they missed their first steps. They missed so many of those precious moments. But for you guys youve celebrated a lot of first together. Lot of first. One of the that things stands out is coming home from the orthodontist. Asking her if shes done her christmas list yet. Sh that before. You know, and of course, you know i try to hold back. You know, inside. So she does her first christmas list with us. He had a celebrated showing pictures. You look beautiful. Got to do a father and daughter dance that was very, very special to me. Again there isnt a day that goes by that i dont see her in my life. I mean, weve become such a family. Shes always been with us. It was fun. And like scary at the same time. Like i was going oh crash into something. She did great. She did really good. Now, she was really sweet though. She had, shed asked me to take one of her friends with her. And allow some of they are her drive time to one of her friends. Unfortunately her friends driving wasnt as great as diamonds driving. So for like the first three days after taking hives. And any time i thought about taking the girls driving, i would like start scratching. Youre not doing that any more. Yeah. Not with the friends. So just her and i. Not in my car. Yeah. Just us. But the best first of all, jen was it came after christmas. Because when youre adopting a teenager, the difference is unlike small children that teenager, its more special. It means more. So it took diamond about six months before the first time she called him dad. About eight months before the first time she called me mom. And that was the most special, beautiful first of all. And it was funny though she had one of her friends spending the night. Were in the kitchen.
