Out of kenneth city, its a crash that involves a bicyclist, 67th street north at 46th avenue north. We have one lane blocked. We mentioned a bicyclist is involved. The bicyclist has been hit. In the meantime, give yourself some extra time if you have to head through the otherwise, please avoid if you can. This is the earlier crash that i mentioned along park boulevard. We decided to move over here to the main Police Station so when they release more information about this, were going to get it to you as quickly as possible. Here is what we know at this point. 11 00 last night, you had two guys sitting in a parking lot of that library. Someone or possibly more than one person comes up, approaches them and both men are shot. Theyre taken off to bay we dont know in what condition. We dont fn they survived or not. Police have yet to release any details such as the names, the conditions or the motive which is really one of the most important things. Questions at this point, was this a random shooting or was it directed at these two people . We just dont know. I can tell you that police were out there. Investigators and also crime scene technicians were at the library all night with flashlights going over the parking lot, actually going just trying to figure out whats going on here, looking for any kind of physical evidence. They did make a grid at one point and lined up cop after cop after cop and then move that grid across the parking lot to look for anything they could. At this point, the scene is dead. Theyve done everything they can there maybe short of going back in the next couple of hours and talking to people in the neighborhood. Another important source of information, did you hear anything . Did you see anything . That could give them some leads. I number of residents in the Apartment Building right next to where this happened. They did not. Good luck to the cops on this one. Something that theyre probably looking at, again, is this one, the two people being shot related to the fatality. That is all a question at this point. This is a young man, as far as we can tell, getting great grades, was in a fraternity, seemed to take good care of himself. I think it sums up that all of us, none of this makes sense. Police say they heard him making initial blood tests show no signs of meth, marijuana, cocaine but testing for other drugs like bath salts still pending. Were told that he did not know the victims.
