((vanessa)) and i'm vanessa ruffes... walter will be in later this morning. those stories in a minute, but now, a first look at your forecast with dave osterberg. polk county deputies are he was hit by a truck while riding his bike near his north lakeland home. so far it's unclear if the driver of the truck that hit the boy will face charges... it happened just before five last night--on saddlewood boulevard off rockridge road. deputies say austin crawford was riding his bike with his big sister near their house... when he turned into the road. a pickup truck hit the boy. a neighbor tried to save the boy by doing c-p-r... but he died. that neighbor says austin was a vibrant little boy who liked to talk and play. we don't know yet if speed was a people rarely follow the speed limit on this street. it appears that the driver is cooperating with deputies. we expect to learn more about exactly what happened sometime today. 13-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was hit by a car. it happened around 6:30 yesterday morning at congress street and ridge road in port richey. deputies say "gabrial rodriguez" ran across the street... and into the path of an oncoming car. he's a sixth grader at bayonet point middle school. his teacher is shared these words about gabrial... describing him as charming, witty and sweet. she says quote: "you can't help but smile when gabrial is around... we ms ninja and are praying for him and his family." deputies say the driver in this case... was not charged. the man police say abducted a 4-year-old girl from her lakeland home will appear in court this morning. west wild hogs was arrested in memphis on monday. officials say he kidnapped rebecca lewis last saturday. and after 3 days of driving through florida, georgia, and tennessee he was caught. beckey was reunited with her family on tuesday. hogs was booked in bartow yesterday afternoon... he didn't answer any questions from reporters as he was walked also today... the man charged with murdering his roommate will appear in court. back in may... kydel weldon's landlord called police when he found blood throughout a tampa house. both weldon and his roomate tina ryan were missing. when deputies tracked him down... they say they found ryan dead inside his trunk. the 44-year-old is charged with second-degree murder. on tuesday.. weldon's lawyer said he may not be fit to stand trial. we should be hearing from doctors with their results sometime today. a pasco homeowner discovers a burglar sleeping in their bed. (vanessa/ deputies were called to the home in zephyrhills. the home-owner told police they returned home and found this guy asleep in their bedroom. deputies say steven allen jeffcott admitted to entering the home through an unlocked sliding glass door. and not only that.. he ate some bologna from the refrigerator. jeffcott was arrested for burglary and petty theft. they later found out he was chained...injured...and living in deplorable conditions. the hernando county sheriff's office says these are just ?some of images from a dog fighting operation...they recently broke up. at least 3 people have been arrested, and more arrests could be on the way . deputies seized 19 full grown dogs...and 2 puppies. many of them struggled to walk - because they'd been chained up so long. bad...it brought seasoned deputies to tears. police provided these haunting photos... they appear to show a dogfighting training center on twiggs street in brooksville. police were led to the house... after a severely injured dog-- likely a bait dog-- was found underneath a house. officials found emaciated dogs with scarring... tied up with chains or left in crates. 3 people are now facing animal because hernand county animal services took in all those dogs... the shelter is now overrun. so they're offering 10 dollar adoptions on ?other cats, dogs and rabbits. the dogs that were seized will be closely monitored and could be up for adoption in the future. officials are set to release another red tide report sometime today. the responsible for fish kills throughout tampa bay. the most recent samples showed the algae at pinellas, manatee, sarasota, charlotte, lee, and collier county beaches. these are pictures from a coast guard flyover... biologists went up to monitor the algae. we'll bring you the newest red tide report once it comes in. donald trump continues to reach out to voters ahead of the election... despite the recent scandal. the presidential nominee held a recently come forward claiming trump sexually assaulted them years ago. his campaign says the claims are complete fiction. ohio is considered a crucial swing state in the presidential election. hillary clinton is hitting some road-blocks as well... several os her husband's accusers stepped into the spotlight to tell their stories. they were interviewed by fox news host sean hannity yesterday. they say the media isn't reporting ?their sexual assault stories as a crime... calling them hillary of covering for her husband. meanwhile... the former president campaign for his wife in iowa. bill clinton spoke at a rally yesterday... just one of his stops on a 2-day trip to the state. he talked about the economy... and gave president obama credit for strong job growth. floridians still have a few more days to register to vote... a federal judge extended the registration deadline until october 18th because of hurricane matthew.. vote... especially when you hear this woman's story. phyllis anderson lives at an assisted living facility in santa barbara. she's 105-years-old! anderson says she's had a strong interest in politics since she was a little girl... and she's not letting her age get in the way of casting her vote. anderson says the candidate she wanted is no longer in the running... but her vote is still important-- even if she doesn't live to say the oldest registered voter in the county is actually 116! today in tampa... firefighters are racing to the finish line. macdll air force base is hosting a firefighter ?challenge for it's base firefighters. and it will probably look a little like this. this is footage from last year's ?world firefighter combat challenge" in alabama. today's firefighters will have similar challenges including the "hose pull" and the "victim carry." it starts on the base at 11 a-m, as part of national fire prevention today in pasco county: a special thank you for the first responders... who helped evacuate an entire hospital.
