developing this morning in milwaukee: the national guard is on standby after two nights of ?violent unrest. police say shots were fired at 3 different locations... and one person was hit. this all comes after a black man was shot and killed during a traffic stop. businesses were burned midnight... at least 17 people were arrested and 4 officers hurt. police have not named the officer involved in the shooting... but say he is a 24-year old african american- with several years of police experience. the man shot by police was 23-year- old sylville smith... officials say smith can be seen on body camera footage -- holding a loaded gun in his hand as he fled a traffic stop saturday: the mayor of milwaukee is pushing for that body camera video to be released... but police say that likely won't happen anytime soon as it would interfere with the legal process. and in georgia... ?two police officers have been shot, in separate incidents. and one of those officers has ?died. in eastman, about a suspicous person when he was shot and killed. a manhunt is now underway for the suspected gunman... "royheem deeds." smith was a 5 year veteran of the force, and a father of three. and in marietta, georgia... another officer-involved shooting. officer scott davis and other officers answered a call about a vehicle break-in at an apartment building. when they arrived, two teenagers in a car began firing at them--hitting scott in the leg. the officers shot back, wounding one of the teens. boys are now in custody... they are both just 15 years old. here in florida: a lake county man is in jail -- after getting into a shoot-out with deputies. investigators say 42-year-old "michael carroll" shot at deputies several times with a rifle before he was hit. officials say -- they were originally called out to the home -- after getting a call from a woman trying to break up a fight between carroll and his adult son. as the f-d-l-e investigates -- two deputies are on paid leve for their involvement in the shootout. closer to home -- we're learning more about a pinellas county teacher and her boyfriend who are in critical condition... after a crash in pinellas park. caroline sine is a music teacher at john sexton elementary. her boyfriend, sean hankins, also shares a love of music--as a frontman for a local band. both are now in the hospital... as family and friends pray for a speedy recovery. fox 13's evan lambert has more on the story... including the man facing charges. on camcaroline sine and sean hankins were brought to bayfront medical center in st. pete in critical condition.and the man who police say put them in that state--is facing several dui charges.vo 34-year-old caroline sine and 36-year-old sean hankins were seriously injured in an early morning crash with a dui driver.pinellas park police say 36-year-old brice macleod ran a red light while drunk and slammed into the couple on park boulevard.the crash happened just before 1 am sunday.sine is a music teacher at john sexton elementary school.hankins is a singer in the tampa group bipolar band. police say the dui driver faces two charges of dui with serious bodily injury.macleod refused to take a breath test at the scene--according to investigators--but they arrested him because they say he was obviously impaired.on camthe pinellas county public schools told me their thoughts are with sine's family during this difficult time.el fox 13 a memorial service will take place this week, for a 73-year-old librarian who was accidentally shot and killed during a police demonstration. "mary knowlton" died during a "shoot - don't shoot" role playing scenario last week at the punta gorda police department's citizens police academy. the shooting is the officer is on leave. the first united methodist church in punta gorda is planning a public memorial service tomorrow afternoon. many knew knowlton from the local library. that branch is accepting donations in her honor to help pay for their new library. detectives in pasco county need your help, finding this man. they believe he was behind a violent carjacking from earlier this month. he's 28 year old "lorezno lamont hardy." the carjacking happened back on august ninth. last seen on thursday in the holiday area, driving a red kia soul. if you see him, don't approach him... call crimestoppers. new video... from a dramatic rescue off the gulf coast. the coast guard tells us that a good samaritan heard a faint distress call -- alerting them to a capsized boat about 24 miles southwest of "matanzas pass preserve." that's not far from sanibel island. once crews arrived - -they found 3 adults and one child clinging to the hull. life jackets. they're now safely back on land. in polk county: take a good look at this dog. the florida highway patrol is searching for the owners. they found the dog abandoned -- along the median of interstate 4. it happened sunday afternoon, near state road 559. if you have any information on the owners... just call the f-h-p. florida voters can start doing their civic duty today. early voting is about to begin... in the state's primary races. supervisors of elections offices all across the at morning. the polls open at ten and run through six p-m. you can check your county's elections site... to find the precinct closest to you. you can cast your vote anytime between today and sunday, august 28th. or you could vote on the ?actual primary election day... which is august 30th. just make sure you bring one or even two two more bay area counties are ringing the school bell for the first time today. it's back to school for kids in polk and pasco counties. and that means even ?more drivers need to pay attention this morning... to all those buses, bikes... and kids on the crosswalks. and one school in polk county will be opening today... for the very first time. "slow not text and drive." the firefighters will be out at all the city's elementary schools, spreading the message along the school zones. the firefighters have been doing this campaign for the past six years. and just in case you miss these signs... they'll have their ?firetrucks parked nearby as well. they'll be out there starting at seven a-m. one of the busiest airports in the country...evacuated. up next: the scary ?call last night... that prompted it. to hurricane katrina. southern louisiana is getting hit by widespread flooding. how the government is responding... to this deadly disaster. ?? ?? ?? developing overnight: ? ba da ba ba ba ? j-f-k airport in new york shut down... after reports of a shooting. but it's still it happened around 9-30 last night. all flights were grounded and all passengers evacuated from terminal 8. a short time later, the n-y-p-d shut down a ?second terminal after another shooting report. the expressway ?leading to the airport was also closed for a short time. police later determined there was ?no evidence of a shooting... they found no victims, no guns... and no shell casings. the airport is back open... but could still see some delays this morning. one person is dead and several hurt... after ?two lightning strike first was at a park in poughkeepsie late friday. the bolt struck a tree -- which apparently sent dangerous volts of electricity down the tree and onto a bench and the ground. one person died , four are hurt. people in the park only had and there was ?another lightning strike on saturday, in lake george, new york. a group of people were there for a family reunion and decided to stand under a tree. the bolt hit the tree and knocked everyone to the ground. they're all expected to survive. emergency crews continue to work around the clock to rescue people trapped by flood water in southwest louisiana. some ?20- thousand? people have been rescued on friday. many are now living in shelters. the historic flooding in louisiana has killed four people. one person is still missing. the state's governor toured a shelter in baton rogue sunday. the governor warned that the water will ?continue to rise -- and that folks should evacuate before it's too late: comes an emergency, before they put their lives at risk, or tax our ability to have first responders respond to president barack obama called the state's governor sunday and said quote...
