in other local headlines: a polk county teenager survived a scary ordeal. she was all by herself, when two burglars... broke into her home. it happened monday on eagle crest boulevard in winter haven. 23-year-old eric ellison broke into the home with another man. and then, some quick thinking from the 18-year-old girl inside. she heard glass shattering and ran to a ?neighbors house to call police. winter haven police arrested ellison, as he was trying to run away. they found jewelry in his pockets. the second man managed to get away. but thankfully.. that girl did the right thing, and was not harmed. a new update this morning on the zika virus. state health officials reported ?five more travel-related them were in miami-dade and broward counties. but one of them was in polk county. there was also one ?locally transmitted case in miami. there are now more than 11 hundred zika cases confirmed in florida... ?most in south florida. today in polk county: the department of health is conducting free testing for h-i-v and hepatitis c. the testing event is from nine until three at the department's pasco county clinic. that's on little road in new port richey. it only takes about 20 minutes to get your ?results from the testing. the county will also hold another free testing event next week. in pasco county: an assistant principal could soon lose her job... after she ate cookies, laced with marijuana. deputies say "donna lynch haff" actually ?overdosed on marijuana oil after eating the cookies and had to get rushed to the hospital monday. deputies say haff wanted to try marijuana for her 50th birthday..so her daughter bought the cookies from a co-worker. haff and her daughter are now charged with possession of a controlled substance. haff is also on administrative leave from anclote high school in police in south florida are searching for the person who shot a woman... with an arrow. it happened while the 66 year old woman was gardening , at her home in davie. the arrow pierced her thigh and went all the way through her leg. the woman then ?pulled the arrow out and her family called 9-1-1. she's now home recovering, but has no idea who shot her. davie police are still looking for clues. if you're a bright house customer, get ready to see a big change on your next bill. bright house is now called "spectrum." the br communications ?bought bright house and time warner cable back in may. charter says pricing and package offers for "spectrum" will remain the same as "bright house"... and they'll notify customers of any future changes. the only big change is the branding.
