Well today jim tells me is the last official day of summer. Yeah. Last full day. Its been a hot one. It has extremely hot. You know it has been wet summer as well. So, you know pretty much what we expect to see is just every year somehow were surprised just how last view, on a summer day out at the beach. And beautiful looking day out there. Water temperatures running in the upper 80s. Were going to see air temperatures in the 90s today. So, again, just a beautiful beach day. Now as far as the wrap up for the summer, summer is about 93 days long. Weve had 78 days of High Temperature 90 degrees or above. When that humidity is just been brutal for a good portion of the summer. Then you look rainfall summer we normally pick up just under just under 2 feet of rain. 22. 49. You can see we picked up 24. 47 inches of rain for the summer as a whole. So above normal on the rain. And really sitting in a pretty good position as far as that rainfall for the year. So looking for those cooler temperatures. Still probably two, three, four weeks away until we can actually expect to see cold front coming through here. Help to cool things down. But by time we get into daytime high, average high in the low 80s. So something to look forward to as we go through the coming weeks. Visible satellite loop being you can see some high clouds passing through the area. Some scattered clouds developing along the coastal areas. But along the immediate beaches, because weve got light and variable winds were starting to pick up that afternoon sea breeze. Were seeing mainly sunny skies right at the beaches. Now were getting dryer air moving down across the state. Were looking at this yesterday. Sitting just to our north talk about working its way down state. Now you can see its in Central Florida we dried atmosphere out were not going to completely remove rain chances but certainly were going to drop them over the next several days. Just an um could have showers on skytower radar. You can see out into the gulf of mexico. And then into pinellas county. You look real closely, theres that one shower right there for ae a few minutes there west of pinellas park. Then another one down by northern end of the Sunshine Skyway bridge. The overall trend for this kind of developing east of i75 with the afternoon sea breezes. So outside now, were at 87 degrees. Dew point is 74. Humidity is 65 percent. Look at the winds, very light. They are out of the southeast at 3 miles an hour. Really making for some nice boating weather as well with very calm seas. Brandon youre 90. Lakeland has an 84. Along with bartow. Sarasota youre at 88 degrees. St. Petersburg 85. You head up to still watching that one area of low pressure, just churning along carolina coastline. High pressure this big ridge starting to build in across the southeast. Crying out most areas. But they will continue to see scarred showers and clouds along the coastal areas of the mid atlantic states. Then the fronts are on the move across the northern part of the country where they are seeing cooler temperatures, especially in overnights. Getting down into the 40s in many locations. Minneapolis currently sits at 65 but, same time, were still talking about at tropics. Good news with both of these systems is it looks like they will stay out over open water. This tropical depression karl. That has since weakened since yesterday. We also have Tropical Storm lisa which is way, way out in the eastern atlantic. So heres karl. This is going to work it is way on to the north eventually conditions look like they will allow this to strengthen into possibly a hurricane but youre look bermuda over here looks like it takes turn and stays the to east bermuda which is certainly good news. Then weve got lisa. This one here, looks like wind sheer going to be become an issue for this over the next couple of days. So this will basically just kind of dissipate out over open waters of atlantic. Still got systems out there. Good news is they are not going to be affecting anybody. Partly cloudy just an an isolated storm for today. Daytime high of 90 degrees. Then for tonight, a very warm, muggy night. Overnight low of 77. To keep rain chances pretty low. But heat is still here daytime high right back up to 90 degrees. On the water, winds are out northwest at 5 knots. Seas two feet or less light chop smooth on the bay. Gulf temperatures currently at 87 degrees. Next high tide coming up alt 7 30 this evening. Heres sevenday forecast, notice these rain chances, they stay low. But even though falls beginning tomorrow, daytime highs still running 89, 90 degrees linda. Thank you, longterm patients especially children can get tired of going to therapy.
