Guns fired at a fayetteville hair salon. A woman shot in the head by her own son. Anna the scene unfolding right now to Shopping Center in fayetteville. Nicole carr was one of the first reporters on the scene, right after it happened. She spoke to an eyewitness. What did they tell you . Nicole police and witnesses say her son walked into this business and shot her in the face. Police say they received several 911 calls from the Shopping Center around 1 49 this afternoon. Patrolmen were nearby and in less than 15 minutes they had the womans son in custody along the employees at the salon nextdoor heard that shooting and as you can imagine they were very upset about what her son get after the shooting. Listen to this employee who wanted to remain unidentified who stood next to the sun after the shooting. He actually came e t and stood outside with us as if everything was ok. We did not even know that he was the one involved. He just did there nonchalantly watching the police movein and that was it. Then i saw him go to the car and thats where he put the gun. That is how police were alerted to him being a possible suspect here. Obviously we have a very active scene, police still in and out of the salon. The salon owner was critically injured, according to police, neither her or her son have been point. Because a lot of you were asking on facebook and twitter, the schools that were less than a halfmile away were not locked down because that man was good in custody so there was not a reason to put the schools on lockdown. Specially lined train cars bringing about 30,000 tons of coal ash every month to a landfill up in virginia. About one. 5 million times of ash will stay here at a landfill that duke is building on site. We didnt necessarily see what cleanup will look like at other coal ash locations around the state. The department of Environmental Quality is still coming up with plans. For some we might build a site and move it there.
