continue southbound working your way out to the split. here a live shot here at 370. for those continuing southbound, you will find that all of the lanes are open. outbound across the 14th street bridge, that is where we had the four-car pile-up. that is still in play cause something delays as you travel outbound into virginia. that's a check of your fox 5 on-time traffic. >> thank you very much. big trade between the eagles and redskin making the headline this morning with donovan mcnabb soon wearing the burgundy and gold. >> we are watching another match-up between d.c. and philadelphia today. the nationals taking on the phillies in the nats season opener. we do want to go back out to dave ross. stevmade a really good point about sonny jurgens on en. >> i said the last good quarterback to be traded from the iegels to the redskins. >> no, sonny was i great quarterback. maybe mcnabb will do thsame thing here in d.c. he is 33 years old but i think he has a lot of football still left in him. we've got to talk some baseball because you mentioned it, it is opening day. 0,000 fans. first 0,000 get this very slick washington nationals cap and since i'm one of the first 20,000, get to have one. the team president is here. thank you for joining us. >> ply pleasure are you as excited as we are for the season. >> this is one of the big holidays for everyone in america. it is opening day and no place better to have opening day than washington where, for a century, we've had the tradition of the president throwing out the firspitch. >> president taft was the first one to do it. >> i was not here then but that is correct j so you've been -- >> so you've been told. >> you know the president is an athlete. how do you think he will do. >> i bet he goes to the top of the mound. there is always a question. you get the business from the athletes if you don't go to the top of the mound. so we'll see. it will be worth watching. 12:55 is when we expect that to happen. >> speaking of worth watching, we think the team will be worth watching this year. i know every year spring -- hope springs eternal at the beginning of the year. >> we had i thought a good second half of the year last year. we had a good off season identifying some needs, filling those needs. they've come together. i think they are ready to compete right away and what really has us excited is the next wave that is yet to come very soon. all those pieces together has us excited being has our players excited and i think our fans are very excited too. >> when you mention the next wave of player to come along, are we stalking about steph strasburg. >> let's not lose folk us for the guys that are here. they worked very hard. i talked to them about coming to the ballpark every day expecting to win. we all expect them to win. i have good news. they expect to win. that is the attitude i think they will have starting today. >> how about the new shorting shortstop, ian desmond. >> he has a bright future. he is very good defensively and offensively. he has an electricity and energy and enthusiasm that fits in with what we are trying to do. he is just the beginning of that next wave. >> you have the standout in line, zimmerman, that is a heck of a left side of the infield going on. >> this team is ready to play. they are ready to start today and i think we'll have a really good season. >> stephen strasburg not up yet. maybe sometime this summer. how good can he be? >> you know, when i talked to baseball, they saul shake their head and say he is aas good as we thought which is really amazing. what is great about him is he has no big league attitude he is a humble, mature respectful kid. it is great to watch that kind of stuff. his stuff is amazing. heas to learn how to use that stuff to get major league hit irs out. i tell people the irony, the things he has to work organization doing his game with men on base because he didn't get a lot of experience. it is funny but it is absolutely true. so he is working on that. could he pitch up here today? yeah, he could but he'll be even better if he gets more work in the minor leagues. >> we have a sell outfor today. over 40,0 people. we do have 400 tickets still available if you walk up for $5 a pop. >> every game at nationals park, we always have $5 tickets available right before the start of the game. >> is this what you envisioned when you had d.c. getting baseball back, this type of excitement? >> it is a piece of what i envisioned. i envisioned this 81 times a year and we are working on that. >> thank you so much for joining us. >> thank you. >> best of luck. >> appreciate it. >> that is it, guys. it will be a great day. hopefully a great season for the washington nationals. let's go back to you. >> thank you for joining us this morning, stan. good luck today. we are following some breaking news this morning from newark, new jersey. these are live picture from the airport there where a jetblue plane made an emergency landing shortly after takeoff. >> we don't know much about it except the fact that apparently some parts came off one of the engines on the left side of plane so they had to turn the plane around and head back to newark. this point, no reports of any injuries. plane was able to make it back to the gate so we should make find out more about this -- we should
