There were several people inside at the time. They were able to get out okay when this fire broke out, but there were two boys essentially home alone in the other part of the house. They were trapped on the second floor and neighbors what was happening. I just saw smoke. Sa team a torres and other neighbors shocked to see smoke pouring from a townhouse on brent on wood drive. Her father was just returning home from work. He showed us photos present the scene and says when he ran up there were two young boys trying to get out of a second story wind over . A. I saw three people. They jumped over here. I said you cant jump you broke your leg. Torres works for a Tree Trimming Company and ran to grab the 20foot ladder that he stores in his background. You were there before the firefighters. Before. You think too much its too late. You want to do it quas, quicker. He and another neighbor were able to use the ladder to hept kids to safety. But then another tense moment when one boy ran inside the front door to free his dog. I go inside to take care of my dog. Fortunately he made it back the family had another dog which did not survive.
