continue to investigate. when we first arrived herehere today, this entire street wastie fi firefighters. the shootings and the fire blockooti away from where we are, inside a home on covered wagon lane. we still don't know the specifii relationship between the suspect and the victims, just that theyy did know each other. this wasn't random.rand as for those three victims, police say they are expected to be okay. we want to show you some new video now of police col fronting that shooter. antibioticcors watched from their windows hearing gun shotsh as police tried to get theet shooting suspect to surrender. a block away, we heard them, too.to meanwhile, smoke is rising fromg the townhouse, a fire burning inside where the shooter iss holding a man hostage. moments later, begun shots the hostage that was in the home while the home was on fire. f it started around 2:30, police say there was an argument inside the home and the suspect shotsup two men. they went to the hospital whilew a third man was held inside with the suspect. police say then the suspect set the house on fire. >> we had a hostage that was in the home that called 911 and said he could not breathe. police chief ed ross letter says the suspect continued to fire a gun inside the home. he says this was a situation a that put a lot of people in danger. you have human life actively endangered, you have a been reported in northwest in the past hour andr 45 minutes. these rob wrist happened on the 1600 block of k street northwest, just a few blocksfew away from the white house on the 5300 block of shear montgomery county polict or fire faux her name, either, but they hope will spread so they can thank her personally. now we turn to a terrible tragedy in the district. a 67 year old woman in a wheelchair was shot and killedie when police say she was caught in the cross fire of a begun battle. vivian marrow was on her way toe the corner store when she was shot. this happened near the intersection of else vin andecti stanton roads southeast. police say a second person was also wounded. fox5's paul wagner has the story. this is vivian morrow, a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was shot h in the head when she road her wheelchair. really messed up. i n' words. my mom was a wonderful lady andd she looked after all my family and cousins and even some of thh people up there they call her mop. vivian morrow was 67 years old, a fixture in this complex wheree at one time she was known as the candy lady always looking out lo for the little ones. d.c. police spent hours workingr the crime scene marking shell casing after shell casing after shell casing. it appears, it's preliminary,y, but it looks like there was an exchange of gunfire up here. do continue to investigate. when we first arrived herehere today, this entire street wastie fi firefighters. the shootings and the fire blockooti away from where we are, inside a home on covered wagon lane. we still don't know the specifii relationship between the suspect and the victims, just that theyy did know each other. this wasn't random.rand as for those three victims, police say they are expected to be okay. we want to show you some new video now of police col fronting that shooter. antibioticcors watched from their windows hearing gun shotsh as police tried to get theet shooting suspect to surrender. a block away, we heard them, too.to meanwhile, smoke is rising fromg the townhouse, a fire burning inside where the shooter iss holding a man hostage. moments later, begun shots the hostage that was in the home while the home was on fire. f it started around 2:30, police say there was an argument inside the home and the suspect shotsup two men. they went to the hospital whilew a third man was held inside with the suspect. police say then the suspect set the house on fire. >> we had a hostage that was in the home that called 911 and said he could not breathe. police chief ed ross letter says the suspect continued to fire a gun inside the home. he says this was a situation a that put a lot of people in danger. you have human life actively endangered, you have a few, you have an active shooter event. we train for these types ofpe events and this is training and action that saved lives. > we did talk to a lot of neighbors da tell us much about the people who been reported in northwest in the past hour andr 45 minutes. these rob wrist happened on the 1600 block of k street northwest, just a few blocksfew away from the white house on the 5300 block of shear year placece northwest and on the 4700 block of tilt ton street northwest. a dark colored audi sedan was seen, a partial tag number of 43ca or 43c.43c. it's not clear what state the tag was from. no wa as attempting to enter onto 0 from the outer loop of the beltway. his parents say a portion rail broke through the bottom of the car and severed his right ri leg just blow the knee. two of his friends in the backseat. they were surprisingly not hurtt matt's parents say a nurse a happened to be following behinde him when that crash happened anden off duty firefighter wasfh not r behind. even though he lost his leg he didn't suffer any other serious injuries but he credits this th unknown nurse for keeping himeei calm and to help slow the bleeding. he could have bled out, but he u didn't. so i think a lot of it was she really helped him get him ge through that. he keeps talking about her. he keeps talking about the c sign position and how she was whispering in his ear to try too calm him down. he just keeps talking about this nurse, that if she wasn't there who knows what would haveave happened.ened outside of the leg injury his l family says that matt will be okay. the golf family has reached outu to people on facebook lookingook for this nurse. midnight saturday morning again at 270 and 495. they know the nurse was wearing navy blue scrubs at the time. neither montgomery county polict or fire faux her name, either, but they hope will spread so they can thank her personally. now we turn to a terrible tragedy in the district. a 67 year old woman in a wheelchair was shot and killedie when police say she was caught in the cross fire of a begun battle. vivian marrow was on her way toe the corner store when she was shot. this happened near the intersection of else vin andecti stanton roads southeast. police say a second person was also wounded. fox5's paul wagner has the story. this is vivian morrow, a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was shot h in the head when she road her wheelchair. really messed up. i n' words. my mom was a wonderful lady andd she looked after all my family and cousins and even some of thh people up there they call her mop. vivian morrow was 67 years old, a fixture in this complex wheree at one time she was known as the candy lady always looking out lo for the little ones. d.c. police spent hours workingr the crime scene marking shell casing after shell casing after shell casing. it appears, it's preliminary,y, but it looks like there was an exchange of gunfire up here. do you have a weapon on the scene. >> we not not. > a law enforcement source law familiar with the e investigatin says the second person hit an adult male may have also beenso caught in the cross fire,
