father's day is somethingethi special for brad benson and le it tson. now that kyleer is in their lives, they got frustrated with the adoption process that th starred in january of 2009 that started pregnant and didn't really know what she was going to do. >> reporter: they talked onlinek theyed clicked and agreed to ana open adoption. sasha is a single mom with otheo children who says in touch. >> we're lucky that the mother wanted an open adoption and wanted to be part of his life. >> reporter: in some traditional adoptions, that can be tricky, kids cut off from their birth mothers and other siblings search for them.hem. >> it's an extended family. we can't deny the fact he has other siblings and we have embraced them and his mother tor be a part of her family. >> reporter: kyler seemed well adjusted and happy. the two dad's have not encountered any negativity so far but expect challenges aheade and are trying to adopt anotherr child again using facebook. >> this hasn't been all smooth saling. the dads and sasha traveled to new mexico for kyler to be deliver because it wasn't legalt for same-sex couples to adopt this florida.rida the two dad's have a website. you can go
