to 55 miles an hour as you see here. calvert cliffs, that was a bowie recording a gust of 56 down there just off annapolis. so, now the wind is combining with the very cold temperatures and i'll show you temperatures in a moment to bring us this. this is the next advisory you need to be aware of it kicks in at 10 o'clock tonight and it will continue until noon on friday. it will likely be extended its a wind chill advisory because overnight it's going to feel like 5 degrees to 10 degrees below zero and in the mountains where you see that purple, that's a wind chill warning even colder, 5 degrees to 25 degrees below zero. last stop here, current temperature is 24 degrees but it's already down 18 degrees as we look out toward the winchester area and wind chill temperatures already below zero in few spots. feels like 9 degrees here in d.c. it is going to be a long pull with this cold weather. we'll talk about what you should get ready for friday and the weekend coming up a little bit later sarah jim. >> all right, our team coverage of this winter storm continues. we have sent our crews out to brave the snow and the winds. fox5's tisha lewis is monitoring the conditions in southern maryland in saint mary's county. >> kristyn leon is along the coach in rehoboth beach delaware. we start with tisha lewis in saint mary's county. hey, tisha. >> reporter: hi there, jim, hi, sarah, you know what it's beautiful out here but potentially dangerous and you know what, snow fall that we've been focused on all day, you can see behind me the roads are clear and they've been working here in saint mary's county specifically leonardtown to get some other areas clear but the concern for tonight is not just the snow fall but also as you all have mentioned the wind and you can see just how windy it is. if you take a look to my right, here in this shopping plaza you can see if you take a close look at the flags, you can see just how windy it is. again, the focus is shifting from snow fall to wind and we're told could be -- range from five above zero a all the way to 10 below zero so just imagine how that feels. it's -- it's well below freezing. what i can tell you is that on the way here tonight, we did drive through la plata on the way here to leonardtown tonight, and this was a familiar scene, flags whipping in the wind and in fact you can see this video was taken at a farm in la plata. it shows gusty winds and also snow swirling across this open field. now, once we arrived here to leonardtown, the most snow that we've seen so far, which means that plenty of plow trucks were busy working to clear the roadways but it wasn't all work and no play. we spoke with kimberly smith and her little ones who ventured out to pick up some items. >> we got two shreds for my kids. we're going to the hills so they can slide down the slide for today. you know, school is out so they [laughter] as well as mom's birthday. >> yay! >> reporter: happy birthday. >> thank you, thank you so much. >> reporter: is this what you expected, better or worse. >> for this? uh, you know what, it's weird, it's really low in some parts and then with the wind it's creating snow banks so it's higher in others. it's kind of a mixed. >> i think they're more prepared this year. roads are a lot better than what i would have thought. >> reporter: and some top sellers that we learned from christian telling us some top sellers at hardware stores in the area salt, s sleds and of course snowblowers, no surprise there. as for that wind chill advisory, we're told it will remain in effect through tomorrow at noon. residents are being urged to stay off the roadways and avoid travel, avoid unnecessary travel. my colleague, kristyn leon continues our coverage in rehoboth beach kristyn. >> reporter: tisha, stay warm out there on your end. we just pulled up onto surf avenue in rehoboth beach. it's incredible out here you guys. i really want to show you what the ocean looks like at this very moment. take a look on your screen now. you could see this is a peripheral vision so a side view from where we're at in our car. it's incredible. all those waves, i want to catch a big wave before we start moving. i don't know if we're going to be able to do that. anyway, what we've seen here on our end with the waves, see, there you go right there, just huge -- a huge ripple effect with the winds, the wind gusts, the cold. obviously blankets of snow covering this white sand so just an incredible view and now i want to show you we're actual in motion, we are driving on surf avenue not too far away from the main street that strip there and you could see here this is a side street in a remote neighborhood off the coast and i mean, this area has not obviously. very, very slick roads at this time. so, if you happen to be out and about driving -- there's our seat belt. you know, our photographer dan is putting on his seat belt right now. make sure you have your seat belt on as you're drying. stay safe on those roads. right now it's about 23 degrees outside you guys and we have not braved these elements yet. i'm actually very nervous to do so but we're going to be monitoring the situation here all evening long throughout the rest of the newscast. but meanwhile i do want to show you before we go outside and tell you what it's like there, i want to show you what the crews sauer earlier today. they were about 20 miles south of rehoboth beach in ocean city maryland and my goodes in it doesn't even look like a beach out there. just incredible. i mentioned the blankets of snow, those incredible wind gusts and it was just such a sight to see. having, i mean growing up in california i've never been on the beach and seen just, you this is definitely incredible. does not feel like a beach town to say the least. so, just please if you're going to be out here stay warm, stay safe and if you're driving buckle up for safety. for now we'll send it back to you in studio. >> keep dan in line out there. a lot of you wondering do my kids have school tomorrow. kids are tweeting us do i have school tomorrow. if you're in fauquier county or prince william county you do not have school tomorrow. two-hour delay in place across maryland and montgomery county. prince george's county and anne arrundel county but keep it locked here fox5dc.com. we'll keep you updated on those. moved up the coast from florida bringing snow to southern regions for the first time in years. >> in north carolina at least three deaths are blamed on the storm and there may be a fourth. >> overnight police found a man dead inside a car submerged in a canal in north carolina. it was found in surf city about an hour northeast of wilmington. two other people were killed in a snow related car crash in moore county and another in buford county. >> and our sea residents who are used to powerful storms and nor'easters aren't really used to the blizzard conditions that have been found out there. that's rare for our state. these troopers have responded to over a thousand calls a since the snowstorm started and over 700 of those have been related to automobile collisions. >> some parts of north carolina got as much as 6-inches of snow. a winter weather advisory is in effect until saturday morning for several counties in that state. >> heading back north powerful waves crashed into a seawall causing major flooding in scituate massachusetts. evacuation orders had to be put into place. they called in the national guard. the snow continues to fall and a lot of state remains under a blizzard warning. and in savannah georgia police will to help out drivers who aren't used to this sort of thing. a lot of people spinning out getting stuck in the snow and so again be careful. [laughter] >> the deep freeze catching a lot of people in florida off guard. family in pensacola woke up to their backyard pool frozen. look at them pounding on what should be water. at a has see with more on this. hey, tom. >> reporter: sarah, good evening. this is a wild one. the clash of titans, trump versus bannon. in some ways this could not have come at a worst time for the white house. wall street is riding high, the president just came off a big victory on the tax cut deal but nobody is talking about that tonight. they are talking about this explosive book, fire and fury in which steve bannon takes shot at not only the president but his relatives and senior staff. asked about this at the white house today, the president accepted bannon's compliment but then turned tail and once again dismissed his former adviser. >> thank you. >> thank you very much. >> i don't know he called me a great man last night so, you think, he you know, he obviously changed his tune pretty quick. thank you all very much. i don't talk to him, i don't talk to him. that's just a misnomer. thank you. >> reporter: three times he says he doesn't talk to steve bannon but this all surrounds this book. it's by author michael wolff in which ban nor reportedly tells wolf in a june 2016 meeting by donald trump with russians was in bannon's words trees us in. he says further unkind things about trump relatives and jared kushner and ivanka trump. the president described by his own press secretary is furious about this. now, late last president's own personal attorneys delivered a cease and desist letter to steve bannon asking him to no longer say any more defamatory things about the president. we reached out to noted attorney and well known former maryland states attorney glen ivy tonight. he says in his viewpoint, this letter from the president's personal attorney and not the white house counsel in ivy's words is highly unusual. >> the reason it's a little unusual is normally the private attorney would only be doing work on behalf of the president in a private capacity. so, this i guess would be -- they'd have to be saying there's some sort of private agreement between the president and bannon where they could enforce the cease and desist but it's -- it's pretty unusual to have that. >> reporter: and if all of this didn't make for enough of a wild day, white house staffers were greeted at work this morning by news from white house press secretary longer be able to use their personal cell phones in the west wing starting next week. now, this was described as a measure to clamp down on security within the white house. however as you well know the president has railed against white house leakers which he accused bannon of being one last night. live on the hill tonight, tom fitzgerald fox5 local news. >> it's been two months since voters cast their ballots in virginia's 94th district house race but we didn't have a winner until today. >> fox5 political reporter ronica cleary was in richmond for the announcement. joining us live on the unusual selection process. >> reporter: it was an incredible moment in history. i was very glad to be there but it happened like that. far beyond the scope of virginia's 94th district, the balance of power in the entire virginia house of delegates rested on the results of this race. and a tumultuous race it was with a recnt challenges which ultimately awarded each candidate with the exact same number of votes, 11,607. so, what's the solution when there is an exact tie? well, if you can believe it, a random she plans to take legal action in light of today's results. >> yesterday i offered my opponent a deal that would have made this final. he did not take the deal and, therefore, for me all options are still on the table. do i think it's fair? you know, it was a long hard election season and it does seem like a sad end to the story to have to end on a game of chance. >> reporter: drawing names like is to blame for a house fire in capitol heights. just before midnight, firefighters responded to a fire at a home on capitol heights boulevard. a family of five was home at the time but they all made it out safely. fire officials say the fire caused about $3,000 in damage. >> and three people wanted for stealing cell phones from stores in fairfax county. investigators put out these photos of the suspects and the gray or silver car they were driving at the time. the suspects stole phones on display and from behind the counter. police didn't release names or locations of the stores. did you see this in silver spring this christmas tree? a lot of people were drawn to this for a good reason. bikes lit up in all different colors and the tree itself was powered by 12 capitol bike shares and the wind turbine on top. people passing by were encouraged to take a turn and pedal to deep those lights powered up. >> it is time for the bikes on the tree to go to families in need. the organization a about the ice skating. everybody stay off the ice on ponds and even on the canals. i know that it's so tempting to get out there but we don't need ice rescues on top of the cold. >> yeah. >> and the bitter wind chills we've got to deal with. let's say goodbye to the storm. it is racing away. this is about the last 12 hours and it is up toward boston and yesterday you may remember that i said if this thing continued to drop that central pressure, which it did, it could be equivalent to a category three hurricane. central pressure now at i believe at last check 950 millibars. that's the strength of a category three hurricane. crazy. and by the way hurricane hunters were flying into it yesterday. they like to do a lot of studies on those storms that rapidly intensify. here is our storm moving away but the brutal cold is going to be coming in on the backside of it. we're already starting to feel it and we are describing it as a extreme cold because the combination of the cold and the wind will bring in the coldest air we've had so far this season. and a quick check of some of the snow totals. i added in a few more, have you been wondering as we looked at our crews showing us what happened in ocean city, they collected 11-inches of snow. here in d.c., only .8 of an inch. salisbury you got hammered with 10-inches and calaway maryland that's saint mary's county also getting hit hard with 6.3. virginia beach also getting anywhere from about eight to i believe as many as 12-inches of snow down there. they've really been hammered for sure. winds are very gusty already. this won't go anywhere and when you combine those winds with these air temperatures overnight, this is what we're headed for. 11 in d.c. three for gaithersburg. five hagerstown, culpeper and winchester. what a brutal start it will be in the morning. expect those wind chills to feel like about 10 degrees below zero making friday one of the coldest mornings we've felt around here in quite 5:00. >> u.s. attorney general jeff sessions is rolling back an obama era policy on marijuana. the move gives u.s. attorneys the green light to aggressively enforce federal laws against pot even in states where it's legal. the move drew media criticism from colorado senator corey gardener whose state legalized pot back in 2014. he threatened to retaliate by holding up confirmation of sessions picks for top doj positions. >> the first lawsuits filed in the wake of a deadly amtrak train crash in washington state a conductor and a passenger are suing amtrak for that derailment that left three people dead and nearly 80 other hurt back before christmas. conductor garrett freeman is filing the suit because he suffered a and cracked ribs. >> la guardia airport in new york looks like a ghost town pretty much due to the snowstorm. whiteout conditions forced the airport to suspend all flights. j.f.k. did the same. right now newark airport is still opened but only limited flights are going in and out. >> yeah. and travel troubles continue down the coast in atlantic city new jersey. a city bus got stuck in the snow this afternoon. of course they're dealing with wind gusts, too. 50 miles an hour along with whiteout conditions and heavy snow. new jersey governor chris christie declaring a state of emergency for parts of new jersey in fact right now fox's lauren blanchard is battling blizzard conditions live in atlantic city staying away from the casinos i'm sure because all the action's on the boardwalk right now. hey, lauren. >> reporter: yeah, hey, sarah, jim. actually we were talking with some of the state police in charge of keeping those casinos, you know, free of problems and they said this weather has kept it very quiet for them. now, a rapid plunge in bringing these gusty winds, this rough surf all along the east coast. >> very cold. i can't feel my nose. >> reporter: from vehicles stuck in the snow in new jersey. >> what would you say to people out driving? >> stay home. >> reporter: to mail carriers in new england reporting blizzard-like conditions slowing them down as they worked to make important deliveries like medication. >> you can't see anything at all. it's hard to work in this but i mean, we'll go out and try our best. >> reporter: all as a brutal winter storm known as a bomb cyclone is now blasting the northeast with heavy snow, high winds and bitter cold. >> it's too cold . >> [laughter] >> i go to school up in ithaca and this is cold. >> reporter: the system has already left tens of thousands without power, has canceled thousands of flights and has claimed lives. this as the south is now dealing with frigid temperatures after the storm first hit there wed meanwhile with 70 miles per hour winds forecast along the new england coast, blizzard warnings have been issued up through maine. winter weather emergencies have also been declared including in new york city. >> what's quite clear is this is a serious serious storm between the very low temperature, the strong winds, the driving snow, everyone should take this one very seriously. >> reporter: and snowplow crews are scrambling to clear the roads but behind the snow the temperatures are plummeting bringing with it the potential for very damaging ice. sarah, jim. >> all right, lauren blanchard look at the wind whipping around back behind her. >> no kidding. hurricanes going on by. there goes our system. we've got a few pictures to show you of how everything looked around the region today. not just here but obvioly down the east coast. winter emergencies for new york, allegheny river in pittsburgh has a lot of ice on it. everywhere flights delayed and you can see flooding in massachusetts causing road closures from coastal flooding with this huge storm producing large ice chunks along coastal regions of massachusetts. wow, and the video -- oh, wow, it's donald trump jr. video doesn't do it justice. it's nasty out there, folks. we couldn't little bit but anything felt warm compared to d.c. >> last night we were all woken up around 2:00 in the morning by all the wind and we were a little worried about practice today but we woke up to beautiful sunny skies and, you know, back home in d.c. where we don't get a whole lot of snow they're getting quite a bit and we're really pleased to be in shorts today and swimming outside as opposed to bundled up in d.c. that's for sure. >> any day could be shorts weather if you just believe. right now 68 degrees in bermuda. >> thanks for rubbing it in. from practicing in paradise to doing so in a blizzard. while the new england patriots practiced inside, they brave the heavy snow and high winds just to get to the stadium to the field house. state officials say the snowstorm could dump one to 3-inches of snow per hour through parts of the state. >> that's sort of like the jackpot right around that area. >> i think they'll get upwards of a foot in many areas. we've seen them play in conditions like this, some of the nfl games already this winter. good sees anyone for them. >> look, there are people that say they're crazy out there. there's a reason they win all those super bowls. they force them to practice in that. >> he's got them running outside in that. locally east of 95 got the jackpot snows. less than an inch at reagan national. snow was not the big deal and it's all about the brutal cold that's going to come in behind it and boy you will no, sir it when you step outside if you haven't already done so. you've still got a little timeo sweep some of your snow away before it gets super hard. let's talk about weather headlines. it is bitter wind chill in the forecast for the next two days. not just tonight and tomorrow but through the day on saturday. winds will be hard-pressed to drop below 30 in terms of gusts over the next 36 hours or so, maybe even 48. and that means very cold temperatures. we're dropping to single digits overnight. going to keep reagan national at about 11 degrees but close enough, right? the weekend stays cold but it also stays dry. i know you don't want to hear this but next week looks warmer but as we transition from the cold air to some warmer air, it could result in some messy mix. what is that? it's a combination of rain, freezing rain and maybe even a little bit of sleet that may be around on monday and we'll have to get that timing down for that as we get a little bit closer. short term, we've got widespread wind chill warnings and wind chill advisories. the difference is the wind chill warnings are colder. we're under an advisory and that will begin at 10 o'clock tonight and it will go until noon on friday because it to 10 degrees below zero and this might even be a little bit generous to be perfectly honest. out in the mountains that could be as low as 25 degrees below zero in terms of the wind chill and on some of the highest ridge tops. a check of temperatures, teens, low 20's in the forecast and the wind again keeping the atmosphere mixed up just a little bit but even with the wind we'll be heading on down into the single digits and wind chills are already there. feels like six in gaithersburg, three for dulles. winchester you're already feeling below zero at three below. 12 for annapolis, baltimore coming in feeling like 8 degrees and taking you forward with a prediction of where wind chills may be tonight, it could be feeling as cold as 20 degrees below zero in cumberland as expected. 11 degrees below zero for gaithersburg so that's why i was saying maybe the 10-degree below may not be a cold enough range. tomorrow morning our wind chill predicter predicting 20 degrees below zero in many areas. that is very difficult. you're hearing about some about delayed openings, it's because of the cold, not the snow. and the wind will continue to blow and drift a little bit of snow that we had locally onto the roads. tomorrow evening 6 o'clock is not as bad as the morning but it doesn't feel great out there. so if you're going to be planning an evening out make sure you have your layers. friday at 11 o'clock look how cold it still feels from 16 to 18 degrees below zero north and west 7 degrees below zero in d.c., 10 below in annapolis and gosh we just keep it going even into saturday morning with these brutal wind chills continuing through the day. run this out to saturday night we're still below zero so that's a long pull with those really incredibly cold temperatures and you'll want to limit your time outside. actual air temperature tomorrow maybe only 19 degrees for d.c. 16 hagerstown, 17 for winchester. 21 for annapolis. 23 for quantico. obviously feeling much colder. and into the weekend we go with single digit low temperatures at night. bitter cold afternoons. but we will be looking at expecting any we in any weathere head through the weekend. saturday only 19 tr 19 degrees r the high. monday -- that should be saturday, sunday, sorry about that guys, i'm going change, that sunday afternoon clouds start to build, only 25 degrees. monday we'll warm up a little bit but that's when we have to watch for the possibility of a little bit of messy mix. i will fix that but let's talk a little bit more about the monday morning threat. the cold will still be in the process of departing with high pressure off the coast. so we lock in that cold as we start to see warmer air coming up from the south and west with a little bit of moisture. that's the recipe for the possibility of a little bit of wintry mix. the icy mix. the stuff that is no fun for anybody and that could produce some sleet in the pink. that's how we depict ice. that won't be there all day. it should change over to rain on monday with a temperature of 39 degrees but that might be a slow start for us monday morning so heads up for that. this looks nice on the seven-day forecast. 44 degrees for tuesday. there could still be a little lingering mix though if we don't transition over to and sometimes that's hard to do. wednesday 41 degrees so it's looking a little better for next week with temperatures at least getting closer to normal. thursday's temperature 45 degrees and mostly cloudy but the next few days are going to be a challenge to get through so make sure you plan accordingly and not spend too much time out there. jim, sarah back to you. >> thank you >> up next, new information out about an intersection where a local teenager was hit and killed. >> matt ackland has been working to uncover new details in this investigation. he's live right now. hey, matt. >> ♪ >> reporter: hi, jim, hi sarah. yes, this is the intersection. remember there was a 16-year-old killed her earlier this week. we are finding out now that residents had complained about this intersection and in that been approved for safety measures, new safety measures but tonight, those improvements have not been made. i'll have a live report coming up. >> ♪ >> reporter: i'm live at dulles international airport which has become somewhat of a hub for all the international travelers that were trying to head to new york but were diverted because of this winter storm. definitely a bit hectic especially for some who were stuck on the tarmac for more than four hours. we'll have more on that story coming up. >> ♪ ♪ the arctic national wildlife refuge -- one of the most pristine that most of us look right and look left. he looked right left right left right left before he crossed the street. that live in this community. i think it's sad, you know, kids risking their lives just to come across the street for a bag of chips. >> emotional reactions from the community member and the mother of a 16-year-old who was hit and killed earlier this week. now fox5 is learning the intersection where he was hit had been inspected for safety concerns a long time ago and safety improvements had been approved more than two years ago but work has yet to begin. derek staten died after he was hit by a metro transit police officer. the cause of the accident is still under investigation. but a man living near the crash site says he has complained about that intersection before. matt ackland is live in brandywine with more tonight on this. matt. >> reporter: hi, sarah, yeah, we've been covering this story all week. this is the intersection here behind me and mdot engineer for traffic told me today that plans had been approved to put in safety measures like crosswalks and pedestrian signals in october of take six months to 18 months to complete but as you can see, nothing has been done y yet. marlo maddox moved into this neighborhood next to 301 and chadds ford road this summer. he says he immediately noticed how dangerous this intersection was for pedestrians with no sidewalks, no crosswalks. >> i would just cringe just looking at someone trying to cross that intersection. >> reporter: so he wrote to the county and the state. he was told in an e-mail in october that new safety measures were coming but a date wasn't given. then this week maddox wrote to mdot again after hearing about the death of derek statenerek sn had been scheduled yet. >> it's very hard to characterize it. i mean, frustration, anger disappointment and it would be unfair to all the parties involved to say that this tragedy could have been avoided but it's clear that as of right now, as we speak, that no pedestrian aides at that intersection. >> reporter: today mdot engineering peter capinitas ctold fox5 once the project was approved it was then moved to the design department and he wasn't sure why the project hadn't begun yet. maddox says there is no time to waste and hopes by speaking out publically, the intersection that worries him so much will finally be improved. >> as long as that continues, pedestrians are going to be at increased risk for injury or worse. >> reporter: okay, back out live now we did hear from mdot not long ago. they sent us a statement saying that they were saddened to learn about this tragic incident. traffic engineers review each fatal crash. at this location there are engineering enhancements in the design phase. they say in the design phase and we are developing a construction schedule but t would not say when that schedule -- when the construction here at this intersection will actually take place. we'll stay on top of this one. live in prince george's county tonight, matt ackland fox5 local news. >> today's massive winter storm is causing quite the travel mess especially for airline passengers. >> a lot of flights especially ones headed to new york were diverted to dulles international airport because j.f.k. shut down. >> but the travel headache didn't end there. some passengers were held on the tarmac for hours. fox5's lauren demarco has the latest. a lot of passengers just lingering around, lauren. >> reporter: yeah, it's definitely the place to be right now. a lot of folks heading in from all over the world really but what we are seeing is a number of flights that as you said were diverted here because they couldn't make it to new york. one in particular where things got a bit ugly. we were getting phone calls from that people sitting on the plane on the tarmac saying that they had been on there for hours not getting much of an answer from the pilot for the fligh finally they landed about noon. finally around 4:00 p.m. they got word that they were going to be let off of the plane. and i want to show you a little bit of cell phone video that one of the passengers sent us. >> do you see a bus. >> no. >> where is the bus? >> right. >> she's looking for the bus. we have no bus here. >> where is the bus. >> you just said you have a bus here. >> we have a bus here because we have no stuff here. >> hm. >> we haven't stuff here. >> it's leap leap 5 o'clock. >> what's the difference between 5 o'clock and now. >> reporter: frustration certainly running high and that is an air linus set to go to j.f.k. in new york but diverted here. you guys have been dealing with this as well. i know the passengers were calling you from the plane and trying figure out wt going on and your office was in contact with the flight crew. >> my office in particular, no but our airport operations team here, which is responsible for managing and the day to day operations and flights that come in and out of this airport were in contact with the flight crew as early as they landed like you mentioned we had 19 other diversions come through the airport today. all of which chose to cancel and disembark clearing customs. >> reporter: but this pilot from argentina did not want to let the passengers off. they wanted to continue on, is that -- >> correct. it is up to the airline and the pilot to decide when to cancel the flight and they were hoping to stay on board and refuel and then make it to their final destination j.f.k. at some point this evening when the airport reopened. >> reporter: so they finally decided to stop that, just after 4:00 p.m. it was more than four hours on the tarmac which according to the faa at that point for an international flight that's too long on the tarmac, corrt. that faa has prohibits airlines from keeping passengers on the plane on the tarmac. so, i know our airport operations team was in contact with both the pilot and then the station manager in j.f.k. and talking to them about options and working to accommodate them. ultimately they did decide to cancel the flight and they are in the process of clearing customs now. >> reporter: thank you so much andrew. we've been talking with these folks they are still in customs as he said haven't made it to the unsecured part of the airport yet but i can tell you just how frustrated they were everybody sitting on the plane you heard that gentleman there trying to talk with the flight crew and still the fact that they are still now in customs, they said they're just sitting there, they haven't been moved through yet. definitely not a fun travel day for everybody on that flight. it seems most of the people as they arrive here they're presented with different options. some are able to take buses up to new york, others are catching other flights depending on where they're heading but the storm certainly letting us feel a bit of an impact here a that's the latest here. back to you in the studio. >> thanks schools have announced closings or delays for tomorrow's -- for tomorrow. charles county, fairfax, fauquier, prince william, county schools will all be closed tomorrow. now, the delays, anne arrundel, continuing to move away. watch the center of it here and it's just about parallel with the boston area and obviously staying off coast and that's good, you can see it also moving up a little bit higher here. wow, the central pressure is equivalent to a category three hurricane so those winds are awful. i've heard about a lot of coastal flooding and including in gloucester, massachusetts some
