Police believe tatum killed relisha and disposed of her body somewhere in this section of the city. At the aboretum today volunteers could be seen going through the woods and Police Cadets could be seen conducting grid searches however they kept the media far back. They said divers would search as pond but that wouldnt happen until tomorrow. We want to let the public know what were doing ba we want those leads to continue to come in. It is not uncommon for people to provide information that theyve had for long periods of time that they didnt provide initially that they may provide at some later time. And its also not uncommon for us to find missing months, weeks, years even after theyve gone missing. The more we keep our activities in the press, the more the public is aware. Reporter now, after kalil kalil tatum was found dead, police found some information that they believe that they had evidence that he had possibly killed relisha and disposed of her body. They said he was seen buying a large black plastic bags. They did an extensive search of Kenilworth Park which is not far from here as well as a Construction Zone to my left. This area has been searched extensively over the last two years and now its the subject of another search here at the aboretum. They left about an hour ago apparently finding nothing. The dog was one of two attacking a woman who is now recovering at the hospital. It all happened just moments ag now live from northwest with the story. So tisha, what happened out there . Reporter what i can tell you first and foremost is that this victim suffered minor injuries so it looks like shes going to be okay. Just moments ago a fire crew arrived you can see what theyre doing right there, theyre washing what remains after the dog was removed just a few moments ago and its a little bit graphic so we wont get too specific. You can see this is still an active scene, police are out here. Again this victim called police as she was being attacked, not by one but by two dogs ambushed her including the pit bull. Now when the officer arrived too the scene, heres what police say. They say that officer fired a round striking and killing the dog. Now nearly two hours after all that happened, the dog remained here in the middle of the str t street. Police say it was actually the seco who bit the victim. That dog was taken by animal control. We did speak with the resident who saw the entire situation unfold. I happened to see the dog running up the street. He was barking at somebody on a bike. The dog came back. But i didnt see what happened. All i heard was a shot. I didnt think it was a dog. It was a dog. They shot him. Whos they . The police. Reporter its important to note that pit bulls are allowed in dc, but pit bulls like any dog must be on a leash. The owners who neglect to follow that law or take proper precautions to make sure their dog was not restrained there could be steep consequences. Developing tonight, the search is on for the person who shot three women in dc last night. This happened around 11 00 p. M. On green street southeast. Police went door to door in that neighborhood this morning looking for clues. All three women were taken to the hospital. They are all expected to recover. No word on a possible suspect or motive. All of this comes as we are learning about a dc Police Officer hit by an atv over the weekend and an ambulance that was forced to stop by a group of riders near the hospital. A lot of people are upset about these illegal bikes. These atvs. In fact, we learned also over the weekend from park police that they responded to the national mall, right around the memorial, the washington monument, where they say they got a report of about 50 people on these atvs on the grass area. But when they got there, they were gone. The atvs were gone. Also, the reason that we are at Childrens Hospital is we have obtained an email that basically lays out a situation that happened recently. An ambulance with a child in the back was on the way here to Childrens Hospital when these atvs surrounded the ambulance, made it stop, and then wouldnt let it go until police arrived. How do you stop illegal motorbikes and atvs . Just this weekend this video was shot right down the middle of florida avenue. Then this video on pennsylvania avenue, just blocks from the capitol. Theres been seven different jurisdictions and were all working together and weve been working together since last year. Well talk about all those cases tomorrow. And here at north capitol at michigan, fox 5 obtained an email from the Dc Department of health saying an ambulance was boxed in and forced to stop and wouldnt move even as the ambulance had lights and sirens activated. Why . This wasnt because of politics. People started noticing that the first three letters Antonin Scalia school spelled out ass and george mason is the butt of jokes.
