>> the scalia family has announced a memorial program to be held march 1st. road closures in major events are making for a busy we're going to start with the gasparilla distance classic road races. more than 10 roads were closed off for parts of the day, the main ones, bay shore boulevard, florida avenue and gandy boulevard. the closures start again tomorrow at 3 a.m. over in clear water csx construction crews closed off court street to perform work on a railroad crossing. that's a main road to the beach and the seafood and blues festival. police are reporting there were no major backups or delays. they believe getting the word out for different routes ahead of time is having a major impact. court street is expected to be closed until monday. probably the most frustrating closure was the intersection of urlitz road and the veterans expressway. construction of the bridge expansion is causing that problem. traffic was extremely backed up. traffic on gun highway is also limited to one lane in each direction as crews replace a water line. you are advised to take alternate routes around both of those areas. remember to sign up for traffic app. you can see live traffic cams of all the bay area bridges too before you head out for your weekend event. a fight at a hookah bar leads to a gunman firing shots into a crowd of people. four people were hit. one died of his injuries. it all happened in the usf area at smokin bull hooka bar. deputies got a call around 4:15 this morning. investigators say they're still looking for a motive in all of this, but a witness tells us it started with a fight. it escalated, then more than a dozen shots were fired outside. you could clearly see how many bull residents were fired by the marked off shell casings on the ground here. >> right now we're soliciting the business to see if there's going to be any footage from it. it's still early, a lot of people aren't in yet. that's one of the things as well as the interviews with the victims will be key. two other men and a woman were sent to the hospital. their injuries not life- threatening. the gunman still on the loose there. is a $3000 reward if you have any information about what happened here. you know, this shooting marks the second time in two weeks a fight has broken out inside a tampa bar and someone's been shot and killed. you may remember on february 6th, 21-year-old marvin lancaster the third was killed when someone opened fire at the gentleman's car rain. another patron that was there that night died in the hospital a few days later. deputies have released the name of a man that died in an attempted robbery at a town 'n' country apartment complex. that man, 27-year-old terrance roach approached a woman who was out walking her dog. they say he pulled a handgun and forced her back into her apartment. the man confronted roach causing a fight. a man inside the apartment. that man shot roach killing had him. deputies say it appears to be shouldn't fight back if you're caught in that type of situation. >> just always be aware of your surroundings, you know f they have a phone with them carry it in case we need to call 9-1-1. i would always cooperate. it's not worth for money or phone, it's not worth fighting over and losing your life. >> detectives say they're still looking into this trying to determine whether or not it was self-defense or whether charges will be filed. today dozens of people came out in pinellas county try and get a fresh start after a run in with the law. the state surrender program is a chance for people who have misdemeanor warrants out for their arrest to turn themselves in. these are for minor non-violent cases. this is not an amnesty program but the judges in these cases might show leniency is still winter. winds relatively light across the region. 5 miles per hour wind in clear water, and a little breezier for the folks in sarasota. in fact, they have winds out of the west northwest at 7 miles per hour there. nice and comfortable and look at this warmup across the southern tier of the continental united states. we are looking at 80s across texas, midland 84, oklahoma city 81 degrees and even st. louis running about 20 to 30 degrees above average for this time of year. it's 73 degrees. of course this cooler air will be surging southward, so folks in that region enjoy the mild setup right now because things will be changing. high pressure in control. it is ridging right overhead of the florida peninsula, and with that we are noticing the light winds and nice dry stable air mass, so our surface winds on sunday out of the east, southeast. see a little bit of an onshore flow, and that will keep temperatures just slightly cooler for the immediate coastline. this evening those temps dropping down to only about 60 degrees at midnight. overnight low for the bay area 56 degrees, and winds light out of the east. we could see some patchy fog for areas east of i-75 with mostly clear skies, a little low level moisture working in from the atlantic, and also light winds. that typically is our setup for fog. i don't think we'll see anything by the beaches, but if you live in lakeland, portions of polk county and highland county you might see some fog. overnight tonight, fairly mild, 50 degrees for the crystal river. sunday gorgeous weather, high temperatures in the mid-70s. 76 degrees for tampa with winds out of the south. just a few mid and high level clouds from time to time streaming in from the ocean, quiet and calm for your sunday evening. nature cove, it's going to be a great day to head to the beach or pool. 79 degrees in brooksville. cross the bay area, 76 clear water, 74 degrees in st. petersburg. mid-70s by the coastal areas, and manatee and sarasota county, 74 sarasota, lakewood ranch you're going to be warm, 78 degrees. lakeland around 79 and bartow checking in at 77 degrees. so during the morning, our winds will be light out of the east southeast. from time to time we might see a few mid and high level clouds moving across the sunshine state, but, again, nothing more than filtered sunshine. it's going to be a beautiful day. notice by the noon hour we have winds out of the east southeast across hillsborough county, but right there at the coast we have a little bit of an onshore flow as a weak sea breeze circulation sets up. that will, again, keep coastline temperatures a few degrees cooler than our inland areas but not by much. afternoon, head to the beach, air temps about 74 degrees. winds out of the east, southeast 5 to 10. let's talk about sunday, looking good, 76 degrees with a low of 56 so nice here and also nice weather for the daytona 500. good news shouldn't be any delays for the big race. now, things start to change a little bit. monday, tuesday, wednesday, and here is why. overnight monday into tuesday, we're actually going to have a little warm front lift across the area, which could bring some scattered showers. not a big deal. most of the moisture will hold off for us until we head into wednesday. so an area of low pressure stays to our north keeping the upper level dynamic favorable for storm development, again, to our north. so we're not really tracking severe weather with this system, if anything changes we'll let you know. here comes the front. wednesday afternoon into wednesday evening, in fact, until early thursday we expect some showers. the front moves through, and afternoon and cooler temperatures too. our high temps dropping down into the mid-60s thursday, friday, and mass, so our surface winds on sunday out of the east, southeast. see a little bit of an onshore flow, and that will keep temperatures just slightly cooler for the immediate coastline. this evening those temps dropping down to only about 60 degrees at midnight. overnight low for the bay area 56 degrees, and winds light out of the east. we could see some patchy fog for areas east of i-75 with mostly clear skies, a little low level moisture working in from the atlantic, and also light winds. that typically is our setup for fog. i don't think we'll see anything by the beaches, but if you live in lakeland, portions of polk county and highland county you might see some fog. overnight tonight, fairly mild, 50 degrees for the crystal river. sunday gorgeous weather, high temperatures in the mid-70s. 76 degrees for tampa with winds out of the south. just a few mid and high level clouds from time to time streaming in from the ocean, quiet and calm for your sunday evening. nature cove, it's going to be a great day to head to the beach or pool. 79 degrees in brooksville. cross the bay area, 76 clear water, 74 degrees in st. petersburg. mid-70s by the coastal areas, and manatee and sarasota county, 74 sarasota, lakewood ranch you're going to be warm, 78 degrees. lakeland around 79 and bartow checking in at 77 degrees. so during the morning, our winds will be light out of the east southeast. from time to time we might see a few mid and high level clouds moving across the sunshine state, but, again, nothing more than filtered sunshine. it's going to be a beautiful day. notice by the noon hour we have winds out of the east southeast across hillsborough county, but right there at the coast we have a little bit of an onshore flow as a weak sea breeze circulation sets up. that will, again, keep coastline temperatures a few degrees cooler than our inland areas but not by much. afternoon, head to the beach, air temps about 74 degrees. winds out of the east, southeast 5 to 10. let's talk about sunday, looking good, 76 degrees with a low of 56 so nice here and also nice weather for the daytona 500. good news shouldn't be any delays for the big race. now, things start to change a little bit. monday, tuesday, wednesday, and here is why. overnight monday into tuesday, we're actually going to have a little warm front lift across the area, which could bring some scattered showers. not a big deal. most of the moisture will hold off for us until we head into wednesday. so an area of low pressure stays to our north keeping the upper level dynamic favorable for storm development, again, to our north. so we're not really tracking severe weather with this system, if anything changes we'll let you know. here comes the front. wednesday afternoon into wednesday evening, in fact, until early thursday we expect some showers. the front moves through, and afternoon and cooler temperatures too. our high temps dropping down into the mid-60s thursday, friday, and
