"you expect this during christmas time theres a lot of packages being in holiday season there are this amount of thefts in what i thought was a pretty nice neighborhood." the couple didn't want us to reveal their last name or show their faces, but tell us they had a camera installed just in case something like this happened. milwaukee police were not able to confirm whether there has been an increase in package thefts on the east side, however, margaret tells us she's heard from her neighbors that this has also happened to them in the past. two 10-month-old twins are home safe this morning after suspects stole a van with them inside it. police say the twins' mother parked the van and left it running while she went inside a building near 49th and concordia this weekend. the van was found about two miles away with the twins inside unharmed... thanks to a brave young boy who happened to be outside at the time. "i was playing basketball and that's when my ball hit the car of the stolen vehicle and i went looking inside and that's when i seen some his mom what he found, and she called police. police are still looking for the person who stole the van. the babies were taken to the hospital as a precaution. health officials in jefferson are asking parents to keep a watch coughing this week. they're reporting 15 cases of whooping cough... or "pertussis," in the county. that's 14 more than the same time last year. they urge parents to get their children vaccinated. they're also stressing proper handwashing... and getti their mouths when they president obama declares this week prescription opioid and heroin epidemics awareness week.nationwide, the number of opioid overdose deaths, including both heroin and synthetic painkillers, has roughly ?quadrupled?
