what do they do? >> they call our admissions office, make an appointment with our admissions rep. they can contact me as well and i can get them hooked up. they can call me for a tour. sought us out that are looking at us as a second career and we have students out of high school looking for that first opportunity and college experience. then we go through the enrollment process with them and it's very very easy and, simplistic. we walk them through the process. >> we started the program two years ago? >> we did in january of 2015, sierra is one of our graduates from our first group that we're excited about. a month ago. we're knee-deep. we progress and enrolling for january. >> before we get to your experience i want to know a little bit about what ota's, that's what they are occupational therapy assistants what their job entails? >> at the assistant level they would be supervised by an ot typically. we work with people kids for example, who have special needs in the schools, we can work with elderly folk who is have had hip replacement surgeries or strokes or those kinds of things, but we have mental health issues and struggling out in the community. one of our national kind of empowerment things right now at the national level is the well elderly and keeping our elderly well in the homes longer so we can can have them 95-year-old living at home safely and healthy. we're working with government agencies and those kinds of things too. >> and veterans too? >> i chose occupational therapy because i i wanted a career that allows me to be creative, to work in a variety of settings, importantly was my desire to help others. through the completion of this program i have the knowledge and skills to do exactly that. >> talking approximate some of the other things like the kind of money you can make, the need, i think that's something that is important because you want to also know if you are investing this amount in your career you are going to be able to make money too. the average income is very opposite it is $55,000 a year. >> it is. >> and a lot of practice settings it is. >> that's fantastic. ota. over $55,000. that's according to the national bureau of labor statistics and the demand as you mentioned is expected to grow 23% by 2025. i mean just knowing that there is that much growth and need for this career i think just, allows you to have peace of mind when you go into something you care so much about knowing you're going to have longevity. >> you can float within the profession so much so you can work in pediatric decide i want a different area of practice, not change careers just change the area of practice. >> so the age or type of people you work with. >> not a lot of professions can you do that. >> do you know who you want to work with? (414)302-7000 for their wauwatosa campus or visit online at bryant stratton.edu. what to do if you can't work because of a disability or injury on the job. who to call for a free welcome back . it is frustrating to get hurt at work or have a disability that make it is impossible to do your job. what should you do to get the benefits you deserve? you need to ask for help because legal issues can be super complicated. alex eichhorn and lauren zwirlein are attorneys and partners they are here with social security disability benefits and workers comp. great to see both of you. thank you. let's talk about how tabak law is able to increase someone's odds because this is a good thing for people to get the benefits they deserve. of someone being approved first for social security benefits. one of the first questions i have is this age specific? we think of social security as being for someone 65 or older? helping disabled individuals. that ranges from children, we have helped young children whether because of adhd or many different conditions received disability, all the way through elderly individuals. we've had clients from 3-years-old to 90-years-old. so, no, there is no age specifications for disability. so, in regards to that, we help all aged individuals. there okay. so if somebody is eligible for social security disaby probably have so be certified as being disabled right? >> we have a very streamline process. we receive an intake call, or we reach out to an individual who is then a contact with their office for evaluation. we have a ten minute evaluation to determine eligibility. based upon this conversation we follow-up with them and have them do a more in depth or have an in depth conversation with them regarding their impairments that they believe are causing financial means. because, in disability this is two separate programs there is title 2 and title 16. one of which requires limited assets and the other just requires work history. we make a determination of whether or not someone is eligible for title 16 or 2 or a concurrent claim and we process that claim. as far as disability requirements go, if you're unable to work due to any disability or injury we would love for you to contact our office. we are willing to do a f services are free unless we are able to help you. it can be a great way to help individuals and, really that's what our law firm focuses on. we want to help people receive the benefits and get back on their feet. >> that's wonderful the way you do your compensation structure so that if you can't help someone, your services don't cost them anything. i think people are already in a difficult situation if they are unable to work. so i think that's great. what is your success rate when someone who doesn't have legal representation? >> we're above the average for that. i think the big thing when dealing with social security is it's just sort of a long scary process, so having someone there every step of the way making sure paperwork is filed on time, making sure that doctors reports are obtained just making sure that they are doing all of the right things the whole way through. it can take a long time. you want to make sure nothing gets missed. >> it is complicated. i think people are afraid of processes that or issues you don't understand and dealing with a lot of paperwork. what advice would you give to someone who finds themselves who is watching or love someone unable to work because of a disability or injury they have had? >> i think that's a great part of our law firm. our law firm does not get paid and that's the reason why we're, we do an in depth conversation. we want to get to know who you team. this is a team mentality, we don't charge you unless we're able to win. your success our ultimate goal so that's how we remain as a law firm. i try to foster the team mentality with all of my clients and whether it be working together to get the reports from doctors or following up with different physicians or therapists who really try to determine what is going on, how to help them along their path to get better, and to again get the reports and documentation success. >> do you know how many clients your office has helped with these particular types of benefits? >> many thousands of clients and a lot of times we find too when people are dealing with social security other things come up like they had a car accident in the past or work injury things like that. long-term, short-term disability through an employer or private plan they may have purchased. we also do cases like that as well. we're kind of a full service firm in that way. so, -- >> when you bring up an that someone brings to your attention you might find things in examining the records that also might bring them the benefits they deserve. >> absolutely. and you know sometimes people don't know what resources are out there and that's why we're here. there are a lot of other benefits and also, just resources when you are dealing with somebody without a job, they don't have income what other providers or, help is out there so that they can get through that tough time. >> i think there would be would at least need to make a phone call and find out what their options are what benefits. like you said might be available to them that they don't even know about. again that consultation is absolutely free which is wonderful. and people do not pay for your services unless you win. which is fantastic. so again it is a free risk free no obligation disability and workers compensation case evaluation that we're talking about at tabak law. you can call them at the phone screen (414)351-4400. their offices are located on north green bay avenue. you can also visit them online to find out more by going to tabak attorneys.com. thank you so much you guys i if you have a big event kiming up like a wedder or reunion you want to make great impression on long lost friends and relatives, one simple way you can look up to 13 years younger is with whiter teeth. here with some breakthrough technology is lifestyle consultant amy vanderoef. we're super excited to have you here. thank you so much for being here. >> i'm glad you said technology this is such an innovation in teeth whitening. maybe you wondered how does this work. power swabs addresses all of the problems teeth whitening have had in the past. it can't be super expens i can't take a long time it can't cause teeth sensitivity and we like to have instant results. >> how instant are the results. this is something you are ideally supposed to use for a week. it's just five minutes a day?
