jackets. with the wind chill it could hit mid40s in parts of south florida. broward county declaring a cold weather emergency from 6:30 p.m. until tomorrow morning. the salvation army opening its doors to give those in need a warm place to sleep. meanwhile it's not stopping some from going to the beach and the warm weather climate is still pretty good. >> it can get a lot worse than this. if the sun is out it's probably, what, 60 out here? and can still go in the ocean so it gets worse. >> it's like the beautiful september in boston. >> are you kidding me? it was snowing the other night d and it's safe to say it will be one of the coldest nights in south florida of the year and this is a cold weather pattern that will last this week. we had the chill set in courtesy of the strong cold front ananremember late yesterday. we had all that rain but we're drying out rapidly now as all that moisture is pushed away. all over south florida. in fact from top to bottom of the state and here's the check on current temperatures. mostly in the lower 60s. the typical night time low is at 62 and not far from that now and we are going to see quite a tumble in southeast and metro and coastal areas. the 50s more like thth50s for the keys and especially in key west as the temperatures continue to fall and we're noticing the breeze, too, so that's going totoadd to the chill when you wake up in the morning. the temperatures as mentioned broward, miami-dade. low to mid40s. but with the winds, still a bit of a factor. a little bit lighter th what they are right now. it may feel like the
