jackets. with the wind chill it could hit mid40s in parts of south florida. broward county declaring a cold weather emergency from 6:30 p.m. until tomorrow morning. the salvation army opening its doors to give those in need a warm place to sleep. meanwhile it's not stopping some from going to the beach and the warm weather climate is still pretty good. >> it can get a lot worse than this. if and it's safe to say it will be one of the coldest nights in south florida of the year and this is a cold weather pattern that will last this week. we had the chill set in courtesy of the strong cold front ananremember late yesterday. we had all that rain but we're drying out rapidly now as all that moisture is pushed away. all over south florida. in fact from top to bottom of the state and here's an armed robbery along 73rd street. they crashed into the police cruiser sending one person to the hospital. >> anchor: a home up in flames in northwest miami-dade. tata a look as fire fighters
