That is coming cmpd responded to a pedestrian hit in north charlotte. Police say it happened around 1 45 this morning. The pedestrian has serious injuries. We are asking police several questions this morning including if the driver of the vehicle will face any charges and what led up to that pedestrian being hit. Elsa gillis spoke to parents in disbelief and learned why it could be considered cyber bullying. The photo came through email of an unknown sender. According to the warrant online, it could be a case of cyber bullying. I really think some of these kids should be punished to the full extent. It happened around 9 00 last night. Police say two people and a driver were on the bus which goes to the airport. Three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Rock hill Police Charged a middle School Student they say brought a bb gun to class. He had the bb gun in his backpack. He also had cartridges to fire it. He is now charged with carrying a weapon on school property. Channel 9 learned more about the 27,000 online surveys filled out about student assignment. Parents used the survey to tell cms priorities for their students. The highest amount of answer came from district six. Mint hill with more than 12,000 surveys turned in. Channel 9 did uncover some information that was missing from the results. There was nothing about the Race Ethnicity or income for if those that took the surveys. The police are still searching Officials Say the two were shackled in that prison van earlier this week before shaw escaping. They say convicted murder joseph cruz was taken into custody last night. The inmates were able to slip away while they were traveling in a transport van wednesday night. The city has been considering eliminating trash pick up for all complexes with more than four units. Ethel says its discrimination because they are singling out multiuse families and forcing them to pay more fees on top of taxes. I cannot afford 4050 every month to have a private company pick up my trash. The city says it will be holding more forums like that one to hear from residents. This proposal has been in the works for four years now but its just now starting to get some traction. City staff says it could save up to 3. 6 million when funds are limited and as leaders are trying to figure out how to get more money to other departments like the Police Department. But many people as you saw are upset they will pay the same taxes as Single Family homeowners do without getting the same services they receive. The first Food Truck Friday was in full swing. This time its in a new spot at sycamore brewing. The event moved to sycamore brewing in south end after plans to build an Office Complex in the old lot near south tryon in camden.
