days later .. her body was found in north carolina. both eisenhauer and keepers are being held without bond. several mid-to- upper level drug dealers are in jail tonight .. to an ongoing investigation that began last year. wsls 10's rob manch was in martinsville today .. as the police department announced it worked undercover with people in the community to make the arrests. rob manch, martinsville: 04:38:07 00-12 "after a year- long investigation, the police here in martinsville announced today they've arrested and charges of the sale and distribution of drugs and pkg: police chief sean dunn had a message to the community friday. chief sean dunn, martinsville police: 04:07:37 16-19 "if of martinsville, get ready, we're coming after you." the department revealed an investigation that began in january of 20-15 has put 14 people behind bars for selling drugs. the department has issued 51 charges so far, which include the sale and distribution of oxycodone. clay gravely, commonwealth's attorney: 04:10:55 36-48 "i think the message is pretty clear to anybody else out there that's not currently sitting in jail right now, what it means to deal drugs in martinsville." commonwealth's attorney clay gravely says he plans to pursue possible for these alleged criminals to send a message to others thinking of doing the same. 04:11:10 "you'll regret it, and there's a good chance that you're next." dunn revealed friday the investigation involved undercover operations incorporating people in the community. 04:24:31 "these were... without exception, as a result of to finally charge many of the individuals. captain robert fincher says the investigation is ongoing and the community can expect the announcement of more arrests in the near future. cpt. robert crack-down on illegal martinsville, rob manch, wsls 10." danville police are investigating an early morning shooting. investigators say they were called to the 100 block of stonewall court around 2-15 and found a 21- year old man and 22-year old woman with gunshot wounds. both are expected to be okay. the victims told officers they were driving through the intersection of first and abbott streets when it happened. this comes as many in the river city are working together to bring an end to violent crime. wsls 10's colter anstaett joins us now live from the boys and girls club .. where a prayer vigil and neighborhood walk will get underway in a matter of minutes. colter -- you were there last week .. when the danville regional medical center hosted a similar event .. that's right, they did and dozens of people showed up. if i step out of the way now, you can see a pretty large crowd has gathered here for tonight's event as well. this whole idea of a walk and vigil including 49 year-old dr. randolph neal, were shot around 7 p-m on february first. dr. neal was shot multiple times as he walked home from a meeting at the hospital and a neighbor of his was shot when he came out to see what was going on. just like last week, tonight community leaders will address everyone here and then everyone will walk together down the streets here near the boys and girls club in hopes of inspiring the community to really come together to end violence. as for this morning's shooting, the police department doesn't have much to go on. lt. mike wallace/danvill e police department: "we're having a hard time getting information from anywhere. of course, a lot of it's the time of morning that it is, but we're having a little difficulty with information on this one." i'm going to stick underway tonight. what to expect washington and lee university students are getting involved in the upcoming presidential election. the school is hosting its mock republican convention. as wsls 10's duke carter explains .. the event has accurately predicted the nominee in 19 of the 25 presidential elections since 19-08. duke about 17- hundred students will fill the seats here at the mock convention on washington and lee's campus. vo the event is held every four years .. during presidential elections. over the weekend, a group of students will conduct candidate for the party that is not in power -- in the case .. the republican party. so far .. the convention has featured speakers like jim o'connell .. who is part of the republican national committee and lexington mayor .. mimi
