gather and store data from a crime scene in minutes. state police in the salem division used the leica p-40 laser scanner for the first location in the jefferson national forest where they believe nicole lovell was murdered. when police get the data loaded into the computer, it provides a 3-d image of a crime scene ... so police who have never been there can review the evidence as it existed the day it was discovered. kevin zirkle, vsp special agent: 22:47:11 "the data is never going to change and it's always available, so 10, 15 years from now we could pull that data back up and recreate republicans can argue that this is a 30 year commitment and they want to take their time to do background checks, and question the nominees to see if they're a good fit to sit on the supreme court edward nero ... whose trial was scheduled to begin with jury selection monday. the court will hear arguments starting march 3-rd. a sixteen year old is in critical condition after a private helicopter crashed in pearl harbor. five people were on board at the time of the crash. their names have not been released. authorities say bystanders jumped into the water ... to free the pilot and passengers.
