2:31 "they had a long-standing decades long missile relationship with countries such as iran 2:36 /butt/ - 2:44 "so certainly if they have a viable nuclear weapon they will exchange not only the technology that they already have and the know-how, but perhaps a completed weapon.. we just don't know. 2:53 /bridge/ in 2012 the last time the north korea launched a satellite into space , it's capabilities *admittedly* caught some u.s. defense officials off guard. but experts say *this* week's launch should be a wake-up call./graphic/ pyong-yang's previous icbm capability had a projected range of 10-thousand kilometers 4-years ago. striking well within the u.s. north korea's *shining-star* missles may have a range of 13- thousand kilometers.. covering the *entire* u.s. /sot/ mccain barnd politics- :00 "its not a matter of whether they have the striking the united states of america.. it's a matter of when" :07/vo/ experts say it doesn't have to be *north korea* firing its misslesa& *instead* it could be terrorists with deep pockets who are more than pleased to purchase north korea's icbm technology. in washington, 3 pattie tight it's a breakthrough that's being called as one of the biggest scientific discoveries of the decade. yesterday scientists from cal-tech, m-i-t, and the "ligo" scientific collaboration say they observed the phenomenon known as gravitational waves. physicists have been working for a century to prove its existence. they were first predicted by albert einstein in research published almost 100 years ago when he created a theory of general relativity. the discovery of these waves, created by violent collisions in the universe, excites astronomers because it opens the door to a new way of observing the cosmos. for them, it's like turning a silent movie into a movie with sound because these waves are the soundtrack of the cosmos. when objects like black holes or neutron stars collide, their gravity sends ripples across the universe. 3 mona box it might be three months away but, major preparations are underway for the lynchburg regional airshow. they want to make sure the same mishaps made during the show 5 years ago.. don't happen again. airshow organizers say.. they're thousand spectators this year.. that's up from the 32-thousand who came out for the show in 2011. the two-day event will feature the blue angels, eight other aerial performers, and 15- static displays. you can get tickets to the show on our website, wset dot com. 3 pattie still to come on good morning virginia... it's been cold out there, and the homeless population often faces the brunt of such frigid temperatures. see how a new program is hoping to veterans. i guess i never really gave much thought to the acidity in any foods. never thought about the coffee i was drinking having acids. it never dawned on me that it could hurt your teeth. my dentist has told me your enamel is wearing away, and that sounded really scary to me, and i was like well can you fix it, can you paint it back on, and he explained that it was not something that grows back, it's kind of a one-time shot and you have to care for it. it's gonna help the enamel in your teeth. it allows me to continue to drink my coffee and to eat healthier, and it was a real easy 3 3 (:03)carlton woodruff, getting "things didn't go too good and i ended up being homeless." 3 pattie these frigid temperatures are especially tough on those who live on the veterans at least, are getting permanent homes, thanks to a state program.mona this saturday a local vet is getting the keys to his new apartment. and it is all thanks to "warm streets." katie brooke explains. 3 (:03)carlton woodruff, getting a new home, "things didn't go 3 too good and i ended up being homeless." army vet carlton woodruff has been staying in different shelters around the city for the past 8 months. (:04)carlton woodruff, getting a new home,"i think when you first get homeless, you have an 3 empty feeling." woodruff says he got kicked out of his last apartment after reporting his landlord to building inspections for shoddy living conditions. he was left with no place to go but shelters, and it's wearing him down. (:13)carlton woodruff, getting a new home, "people have attitudes and a lot of times you have to count your chicken nuggets and you look in the refrigerator and your cranberry juice is down and you have to pour it out, there's too many things going on when you're living in a rooming house." but not for long. warm streets just joined hands with my guys moving, which donated space in their warehouse for donated furniture. they'll be free to carlton's new apartment this weekend. (:07)rick hughes, director, warm streets, "seeing people get off the street and get their own place, it's an indescribable experience really." an experience, carlton says he's so thankful for... and the first thing he's going to do when he gets settled? cook his own food.
