to knock out and control. police were here controlling the traffic flow closing traffic on both sides of com com commadore drive. you can see the damage done by this fire. at this point, we are fought clear on how this car got here. it's likely under investigation. the belief is that comodore joshua barney drive is reopened here. going whack ways this had morning. meanwhile, breaking news in upper policeman bow row, as well. a pedestrian died on pennsylvania avenue, but it's not clear how he died. maryland state police say he had a medical emergency. he was then hit by a car. we have a call in the to police to find out more. >> d.c. police investigating how a man fell to his death from a hotel roof. 23-year-old john leonard fell sunday morning. he fell at least 10 source down a boiler shaft and died. at this point, it's being investigated as an accident. 201 is off to a rough start for two fairfax county families. there were displaced after a fire. 85 firefighters responded to the design last night and it took them about 20 minutes to get all the flames out. no one was hurt. the cause of the fire is under investigation. isis now saying it had a hand in a massacre in istanbul. 39 people died. >> and we want to get straight to molette green. overnight, isis taking responsibility for that nightclub massacre. this is what it looks like there right now. we just got new video just in to the live desk. you can see the damage to the building there. the jihadist group issued a statement calling the gunman a heroic soldier. that gunman is still on the run following his new year's day shooting rampage at the nightclub in istanbuls. disturbing footage of the attack shows a man with a long barrelled gun tarlthing people in his path. 39 died, 79 wounded including one american who scene blocking traffic on either side of the road as the response got under way here. but back out here, there are some things we do not know about this car. how it got here in the first place. there are no word of any injuries, people who are, perhaps, with this car. that, of course, remains under investigation. the cash will be towed away from the scene here. we are leave here in northeast. i'm justin finch, news 4. breaking news this morning, a pedestrian found dead. >> 61-year-old donald easter died in upper marlboro. he was found in the middle of pennsylvania avenue last maryland police say it's possible he had a medical emergency and then was hit by a car. however, at this point, it's not exactly clear how he died. police say a woman rammed into a patrol car. they say dima hadi did i was caught speeding 95. when the police tried to pull her over, she went about 110 miles per hour. the impact caused hadid to lose control of her car and slam into a jersey wall off 495 in alexandria. she tried to run. officers were able to stop and arrest her. she was facing a series on of charges. d.c. police are investigating what they called an accidental fall from a hotel roof. john len ald fell at least ten stories down a boiler shaft and died. no word yet on happened. major developments this had morning in that nightclub attack in turkey. the islamic state has claimed responsibility. the group released a statement this morning. istanbul police released a blurry photo of the shooting suspect. we don't know his name yet. on new year's day, cctv cameras captured the sunday morning. when suzanne zarem by-a heard a noise coming from her daughter's charles's bedroom. she went to check on it and found a teen male with a gun. he shot suzanne, shot charlotte and then shot himself. the teen is in the hospital in had critical condition with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. but 15-year-old charlotte zaremba did not survive. pleas are trying to find the connection twt between the zaremba family and the teen who did the shooting. >> the rest of her life. she's never -- whatever she does, this is going to -- there's going to be some piece that she's going to remember, her friend, charlotte, and that this happened to her. >> now, police have not identified the gunman in this case. again, he remains hospitalized in critical condition with a
