This happened on burnt hill road before midnight. Kristin wright is joining us live from Clarksburg High School this or reporter the Clarksburg High School community is just waking up to this awful news of lead to students killed in a horrible crash the night before graduation. It was bad, the pickup truck they were riding in slammed into a tree. The pictures you see here, the truck is absolutely manageled. Police say the crash happened at 11 30 last night. And for some reason, at this point police say they dont know, it just crashed into a tree. It happened on burnt hill road near king ststead road. Police gave us the names of the three students, jacob dennis who was 17, he was u 2h dri shiplet, 18 years old and carey green, 17. We dont know in the boys were seniors but the Clarksburg High School g morning at 10 00 at mount st. Marys university. It is certainly going to be a back to you. Reporter we are here Windsor Ridge court. This is a townhouse development. Take a look at this picture, this is the suspect now in custody. Now the Sheriffs Department said they arrested him half an hour ago. We dont have details about that arrest but we do know hes in custody. Hes been identified as Joshua Anthony sumter who is 18 years old and arrested on the warrant of attempted capitol murder. This is after police or sheriffs deputies responded to a call for breaking and entering here on Windsor Ridge court late last night. According to the deputies and Sheriffs Department, when they got here shots were fired by the suspect, several shots, striking that deputy. We understand he was injured seriously and taken to the hospital. We expect to hear details about his injuries and more on this incident. But again, the suspect is in custody after a sheriffs deputy is injured answering a call to breaking and entering on Windsor Ridge court in stafford, virginia. The South Carolina interNational Guard said the jets were doing night flying operations when this happened. The pilots were able to eject safely. The air personnel are investigating this. And a neighborhood is calling for immediate changes to a deadly intertexas. Emotions ran high inside Walt Whitman High School last night as Community Members talked about what to be done to make the intersection safer. Last february three family members were killed and a fourth seriously injured. One of the options includes closing the road and installing a traffic signal. It doesnt take that much money to do a good solution to force people to slow down. And the Community Members say a change to the intersection needs to happen as soon as possible. And it needs to be done right. 6 16 now. A criminal complaint has been takata air bag. Its the first case in that country related to the massive recall. It involved a woman who wasa fa injured in an accident where her suv crashed into a truck last year and her air bag improperly burst. Takata says it is cooperating with the investigation. We have learned the name of a woman who die in a tubing accident on monday. The Jefferson CountySheriffs Office identified her as 40yearold katrina meeks. She was tubing on the Shenandoah River when her tube was caught on something. Meeks fell in the river and never came up. Rescuers were able to save five of her family members. If approved in november you will spend more the next time you dine out in Fairfax County. Yesterday the board of supervisors voted to put a meals tax referendum on the upcoming ballot. The tax calls for an extra 4 on prepared food for restaurants and the county says it will generate 100 million for schools and capitol projects. And by 2020 minimum wage workers will see their pay increase to 15 an hour. D. C. Joins a number of states approving high minimum wages. The minimum wage right now is 10. 50 and the jump is expected to start in july. And Florida Governor rick scott is concerned that standing water will become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Scott is asking for federal Disaster Assistance and is[rd urging people to clear their homes of standing water.
