from fairfax county firefighter nicole mittendorff. darcy spencer has more on the search. darcy? >> reporter: well, good morning, eun. the search efforts will continue first thing this morning at shenandoah national park. we'll go ahead and show you a map of the area where they are continuing the search for the fifth day today. it is very difficult terrain, very rocky. they are searching a ten-mile area around whiteoak canyon trail. we'll show you a picture of the woman they are looking for. nicole mittendorff was reported missing on friday. her car was found saturday evening. authorities say at this point there's no sign of foul play but there's a lot of concern from her family, from friends, from coworkers that she has not been found. she's been described as a very dedicated and hard-working firefighter here at station 32 in fairfax county. her husband is a state police sergeant and made an emotional appeal for her safe return yesterday and thanked the searchers. >> i would like to thank the over 10,000 visitors who have liked our facebook site find her disappearance by sharing this site among other fellow facebookers. now a prayer vigil will be funeral of a prince georges county firefighter killed in the line of duty. john ulmschneider was shot and killed when trying to get into a home of a person he thought was having a medical emergency. the homeowner thought someone was breaking into his house and he opened fire. firefighters in baltimore city will respond to emergency calls today in prince george's county so local firefighters can attend the funeral. virginia lawmakers reconvene consider a plan to hide the identity of pharmacies that supply execution drugs. the virginia attorney general thinks the proposal would not violate federal law. religious leaders have been rallying against this plan. >> to anyone asking why, why it's such a big deal, i would say, well, you deal with that, you be isolateded from a one specific location and have you branded as someone who is not fit for that location and see how you feel about it. >> a win this morning for transgender students like this young man you just heard from, gavin grimm challenged his school's policy in gloucester county, virginia, requiring students to use either the reese room that corresponds with their biological gender or private restroom. an appeals court upheld federal regulations to require public schools to treat transgender students consistently with their gender identity. the ruling appli and four other states including north carolina. it likely means that state's recently passed transgender bathroom law cannot be enforced in public schools including colleges and universities. >> we have individuals that are very happy there's liberation and also individuals that are uncomfortable. >> yesterday's ruling is far from set in stone. the gloucester county school board can appeal to a higher appeals court. the case is so controversial it could eventually go all the way to the supreme court. it's 6:05. a major development in the flint water crisis. three people are going to face criminal charges for lead in the town's water. michigan's government is accusing two state regulators and a flint employee. they will face a misdemeanor and felony charges including obstruction of utility property and evidence tampering. the michigan attorney general is expected to announce those charges and the full details later this afternoon. it is impossible to c us. that is what donald trump is saying after a huge win in new york. hillary clinton dominated as well saying it's inevitable she's going to be the democratic nominee come november. clinton needs fewer than 500 delegates to take the party's nomination. 177 new delegates from new york, clinton now has 1,885 compared to bernie sanders 1,190. and trump is expanding his delegate lead to more than 250 delegates. he now has 844 compared to senator ted cruz's 559 and governor kasich is way behind. trump is now the only gop candidate with a chance of clenching the party's nomination before the gop convention. he won by so much in new york there aren't enough delegates in future contests for either cruz or kasich to reach the 1,237 number they need to win the gop nomination. their only hope is to force contested convention. next up voters in maryland will have their say. maryland is one of five states holding their primary this tuesday, april 26. trump and clinton are polling far ahead in the three states offering the majority and next week's available delegates. exploded into flames. the plane went down yesterday in stephensville 200 yards short of the bay bridge airport runway. it's in queen anne's county near the chesapeake bridge. both the ntsa and the faa were on the site yesterday to begin their investigation. maryland state police say the plane was a one you see here. it belonged to a flight training group based near the airport called chesapeake port pilot. the man associated with the group says no students were on board at the time of the crash. and the smoke incident that happened in january 2015 will be determining the cause. many were alexandria county. the police are still trying to figure out the connection between the two men. and charles sims is charged in connection to the shooting death of arthur baldwin. officers found baldwin shot multiple times on south capitol and first streets last december. baldwin worked with the she secret service but was suspended at the time. the investigators believe the motive may have been robbery. and in news4 your health, cutting down on the time you sit down at work may fat. researchers at the university of southern denmark say that reducing your sitting time can cut down your risk of chronic diseases. 300 workers were tested by using sitting and standing desks after just one month. those using standing desks lost over half a percent of body fat. well, more and more of you are skipping your breakfast cereals. researchers from the global research firm say less are snacking on bars and yogurt for breakfast. it's quicker to take it to go. cereal sales have fallen steady since 2011. children are the biggest consumers of cereal. and a lot of people who can eat the big bowls like this and put the whole box in right now, only about half of 2 to 11-year-olds opt for in the stabbing death of a relative heads to court. arlington county police say that dennis adams was stabbed by a 17-year-old relative earlier this month at a house in arlington. the name of the teenager has not been released. a domestic dispute led to that stabbing. police in fairfax county are warning about a marijuana derivative growing popular among high school students. it is often referred to as hash and is a strong resin extracted from the marijuana plant. substance is highly concentrated. the fairfax county police say the side effects from the drugs can cause what loohallucination attacks and violent behavior. and freddie grey is the baltimore man who prosecutors say died because of his injuries he sustain in the back of a police van. prosecutors are enforcing their request that garrett miller testify at officer edward niro's trial. they were the bike officers who first arrested gray. six baltimore police officers face charge miss the april 2016 incident. april 2015 incident. if you use payday online, the money you borrow isn't always making it to your bank account on time increasing the chances that you get hit with overdraft fees. consumer financial
