In fact, if you look at the trucks right behind it, you can see theres a section of pipe there still attached to that flatbed. So weve got a ways to go before this situation resolves itself and of course mcarthur boulevard, a major commuter route. Take a look at the video from yesterday. Water came from a pipe yesterday afternoon and caused water issues and of course a sinkhole opened up in the middle of macarthur boulevard. Water is back on but we still have this hole here. This is going to go on for several hours. The major impact zone is on macarthur boulevard between q and elliott. However, theyre not allowing traffic to go through the area even further out than that. Theyre actually stopping folks at reservoir and not allowing them to go through the immediate area. If you are caught in the middle, there are a lot of condos and homes. If youre caught in the middle, they will let you drive out so long as youre not parked immediately here. Looks like they have all of those cars pulled out. If you take macarthur boulevard downtown, you want to think ahead because this will be a mess for several more hours at least. High praise on social media for the scrcrew of a jetblue te. They were called heroes. The flight was headed from new york from dulles. They returned to dulles. 66 people were on that flight. A stolen suv with a teen behind the wheel slammed into a pennsylvania deli right there. It collapses all around. Theyre stopping traffic from a much wider perimeter between reservoir and foxhall. A large stretch macarthur being affected. Its a major commuter route. This is a large pipe, a 30 inch pipe. Take a look at the water gushing from it. It was quite a mess. There were a lot of folks in the area who lost water. Were told that service has been reestablished now so people have their water back, but obviously still a big mess here. Old pipe. Dates back to 1860. Broke yesterday afternoon and folks are just going to have to bear with the crews for ai here you can see that the replacement pipe is actually still on the back of that truck there. So they havent even gotten to the business of moving that new section of pipe and putting it in the hole there in the middle of macarthur boulevard. Travel times, no problems there on 270. Top of the beltway a little slow from the earlier crashes. Okay, 95 northbound a little slow again because of that 95 at Prince William problem.
