at central avenue. this is a disabled tractor-trailer that lost a lot of fuel for some reason. so we have this right lane oc the ramp there to dale city, crash blocking the right lane. 66 looks okay. southbound lee highway near west street, beltway looks okay and this just cleared out of the way, southbound 355 in rock rockville. that is gone. 270, no major worries. 5:02 now right now. this house fire is out in montgomery county. firefighters showed up but there is no hydrant where it happened. this is in dickerson on martinsburg road. >> now, they used a tanker shuttle to get water to this situation. the we're told the fire in the walls, it was in the walls and the attic and it was put out a few hours ago. everyone made it out of that house okay. nobody got hurt. a major situation unfolding right now in delaware. >> two employees taken hostage at a maximum security prison. >> that's right, aaron. two prison employees are being held hostage in delaware. two others were let go yesterday. inmates took them, but here is a live picture at that facility. the inmates told a local paper that they're concerned about their treatment and the country's leadership right now. this is all happening at the james tevon correctional center in symrna. there is a statewide lockdown at all prisons in delaware because of this. one of the workers who is released is being treated for his injuries. we don't know the condition of the other one. >> thank you, adam. developing this morning, police are scouring the area for the gunman after a deadly shooting on the d.c. maryland line. police say someone fired into a car at the corner of eastern avenue and hunt place northeast. a man inside the vehicle was killed. a woman was shot. she survived. we don't know yet whether police know who they're looking for at this point. a dump truck hit and killed a man who was using a walker in the parking lot of an element school. police say that truck was backing up outside crest haven elementary the driver stayed on the scene there. montgomery county police have not released the victim's name, but they say he was in his 60s. one person is in custody after a chase through the aspen hill area. homeland security police arrested that suspect after a wreck at layhill and belpre roads. the crash took out the utility pole. we're still working to find out what started that pursuit. let's get back to the live desk. adam tusk following some violent protests. >> take a look at these huge crowds of protesters. this after a wild scene where they smashed windows, set fires and clashed with police. this scene erupted a couple of hours ahead of a scheduled appearance by far right wing breitbart new editor milo. steve bannon previously headed bright part news. much of this is expected to be in opposition to the administration. a generator was set on fire. the school says the protests were largely peaceful until about 150 massage staters actually started on the violence. there was a lockdown, but it was listed after a brief the period of time. the trump administration is issuesing a strong warning to iran. michael flynn says iran is, quote, on notice after a missile test launch earlier this week. president trump himself tweeted overnight, quote, iran is rapidly taking over more and more of iraq, even after the u.s. had squandered $3 trillion there obvious long ago, end quote. edward lawrence will have more on what all this means in our next half hour. dealing with iran could be one of secretary of state rex tillerson's first issues e deals with when he arrives to work this morning. he was sworn in last night by vice president mike pence. virginia senator mark warner was one of three democrats to vote for his confirmation. and virginia democratic congressman don buyer is planning to introduce a free doll of religion act in response to the president's action. the goal, to ensure that no one is denied entry into the united states because of their religion. president trump has denied that his order is a muslim ban. several hundred demonstrators showed up at a rally at reagan national airport last night, protesting president trump's executive order barring new refugees. we asked protest organizers why reagan national since no international flights come into or leave out of that airport except for maybe some canadian flights. they said they wanted to demonstrate at the airport used by most members of all airports. ollie the bobcat is back at the national zoo. she had a few days of freedom. >> on the prowl. >> apparently. >> here is a now. any idea when that might happen? >> yeah. people want to see her, but it's not going to happen, not for a while. zoo officials, they say they're in no hurry to return ollie to her exhibit enclosure after galavanting around town for three days. they want to make sure she gets a full veterinary work up to make sure she didn't catch anything that she could pass along to the other bobcats. but take a look at the video. here she is, miss ollie. she's become quite a social media superstar after she escaped on monday morning. people wondering where she was, what she was doing. it's believed that she was, at times in rock creek park. so it was like finding a needle in a haystack. her personality is standoffish. so she wouldn't come if called. she did, however, come back for treats that were placed in a trap on the zoo grounds. she apparently even watched zoo officials as they put the food in that trap. >> i think that it's a great example of her personality is that from where she was trapped, my colleagues and i, as we were putting the traps out, even said amongst ourselves, you know, she's probably sitting here looking at us right now. and as it turns out, she had this morning of a kidnapping suspect. police in the district tell us the man you see right here in the dark suit is accused of kidnapping a georgetown student with all the details on this. justin, bring us up to speed. >> hey there, aaron. good morning. d.c. police want to get fresh eye owes this video. they're hoping someone out there knows this kidnapping suspect who they say stopped his victim here near 34th and "o" streets north and west last thursday in broad daylight demanding cash. let's take you to that fresh video here. there are new close up shots of this suspect here. he's seen hovering and pacing behind his male victim at an atm machine. the victim's panic here is palpable. police say the suspect drove that georgetown student to td and sun trust bank branches off wisconsin avenue and tinley town. these transactions did not go through here and the victim was let go. the suspect, we are told, is in his 30s or 40s, perhaps 5'9" to six foot tall with a black shirt, black suit, black shoes and a gray tie. now, again, in this case the is concern that this could have gone much differently, perhaps much worse. if you are seen this man or seen this suv, give police a call. back in to you. >> justin, thank you. breaking news in montgomery county. >> another drugstore robbed. adam is at the live desk with details. >> this is happening in silver spring. montgomery pris tell us they are investigating an attempted robbery in the 12,000 block of georgia after in silver spring. police tell us they responded to that location about 4:15 this morning. they a suspect in custody. as you know, there have been a string of drugstore robberies in montgomery county recently. we do not know if all of these are connected. we'll update you as soon as we get more information. now to a troubling story for anyone with elderly parents. someone at a retirement community in frederick, maryland, has been diagnosed with residents at the frederick's country meadows retirement community are using bottled water until tests show that the water supply is bacteria free. there are no more advanced passes available for the month of may for the smithsonian museum of african-american history and culture. they were the gone in five hours. the smithsonian says 114,000 passes were made available yesterday morning. you can still try to get same-day passes. there are a limited number of those. they're available online every day starting at 6:30 a.m. or in person on weekdays at 1:00 p.m. these tickets are so hot right now. i'm just going to wait for a couple of that. but it's so busy. it's quite the crowd up there in pennsylvania this morning. the chamber of commerce has done a miraculous job of this something. last year, shadow, which would have predicted, of course, an early spring because shadow -- no, shadow means six more weeks of winter. i'm sorry. so what did we get last year? the fourth warmest march on record. it was supposed to be more winter. the year before that, 2015, no shadow, should have been an early spring. 5 inches of snow in march. the only year he's gotten right recently was 2014, shaw the shatdo and said six moweeks of winter and it was our snowiest march on record. two out of the last three have not gone the grourchbd hog's way. this morning, there are snow showers up here that are only about 2 1/2 hours from punxsutawney. they pulled that rat out of the hole somewhere around 7:30 in the morning when the sun is coming up. so that's how it goes. we've got a lot of clouds around. >> he just tells it like it problem here on the beltway, actually. we're talking about the inner loop. now we've got inner loop at the ramp. 198 near 95. crash reported there, as well. don't quite have a direction yet this morning. inner loop at central avenue, this is blocking the side of the roadway. that clean up under way in the right lane is blocked this morning. also on 95, southbound, the ramp to dale city, still have that crash blocking the lane. red line here, single track in between union station and judiciary square. travel times in ten minutes. >> in case you're just waking up, we want to get you up to minute on a developing story. >> some employees being held hoel hostage at a prison in delaware. >> it's a tense situation at a delaware prison as two employees are being held hostage. right now, police are trying to negotiate their release. this is all happening center in symrna. that's about 20 minutes north of the state capital of dover. inmates took four employees hostage. two of them were released yesterday. one of them was injured. there is a statewide lockdown on all prisons in the state of delaware because of all this right now. back to you, aaron. >> all right, adam, thank you. president trump was about 30 minutes from that jail yesterday. >> he flew to tlar to witness the dig phied transfer ceremony of a fallen service member. chief petty officer william ryan owens was killed during a raid sunday on abdomen al qaeda camp in yemen. owens was married with three children. the white house says he was on his 12th deployment when he was killed. several hundred demonstrators showed up for a rally at reagan national airport last night protesting president trump's executive order on immigration. we asked protesters why national since no international flights come in and out of that airport. they say they wanted to demonstrate at the airport used most by members of congress. the president's immigration order is keeping an iraqi lawmaker out of the country. she was keld to visit washington next week to receive a human rights award. it honors her work on behalf of the yaziti people who have been targeted by isis. the group has called her, quote, their most wanted woman. there is a battle brewing between congress and d.c. over the death with dignity bill. congressman chaffitz says they will vote over that bill. the bill passed the d.c. council last year. over the next couple of weeks, we told you about one pedestrian accident after another. back in disease, an alexandria community was rocked when a mother of four was killed when she tried to cross the street. now they're making a push to keep you safe with at mt. vernon and west gleeb road pep pedestrian signs are being add and traffic signals are being change. the city wants to eliminate all traffic-related deaths. in 2016, there were four pedestrian deaths and 242 traffic related injuries in alexandria. now an update to a story about a prince georges county man would got a rude awakening yesterday when a car slammed into the side of his house. we brought you this story on news 4 today. this incident would have been just upsetting for about anybody. but nor for 88 leonard miller. his house has been hit five times. miller has lived in that house since 1971 and he doesn't seem to be too worried about this happening. >> well, no. i'm 88 years old. i'll be 89 in a month and a half. and then if i live after that, then who knows. >> now, that house is being repaired now. miller believes that curve in the road is why there are so many accidents. apparently cars come watched his father die during a craigslist sale. this is a story you want to hear before selling something online. florida police say james beck was shot and killed on tuesday as he was selling a dirt bike. tampa police say beck communicated with potential buyers on craigslist and arranged to meet. the men met, shot beck in front of his son and took the bike. >> i got it as a christmas present and i worshipped it. because it came from my dad. and he taught me how to ride. it started as his hobby and it moved on to mine. he always had a smile on his face and he happy. >> police have arrested one
