other down the road at third and i. unclear how they're related. you see the police cars here on the scene we know the stabbings happened around 1:00 a.m. here on k street where two men were stabbed. one of them died at the hospital. the other man as you said suffered injuries to the leg. we're working to find out a motive and a better description of the male suspect that police say they want to find in this case. this is an area where the new and the old kind of come together here called the new mt. vernon. the new downtown area where there are new high end homes, new construction, and an existing community, even a baptist church down the way. new jersey avenue is just over the bridge that is behind me. so this community has had some challenges with crime. this is still very early in the investigation. again, we have one man dead. died at the hospital. the other, suffering a serious leg injury after the stabbing that happened just after 1:00 a.m. this morning. we're staying on top information leading up to an arrest. today the mother of a 12-year-old boy who was shot and killed by a police officer in ohio speaks out about the investigation into his death. samaria rice will hold a news conference today with her attorney about new reports. two new reports released last weekday say the officer who shot tamir rice was justified or his actions were reasonable. the report also said he acted reasonably under the law when he shot rice last november. rice says he shot immediately without an investigation. jason goolsbee forcibly detained has gone viral. he was detained monday by police because a family member said they felt threatened by him. goolsbee's attorney said the 18-year-old went to an atm to get money but changed his mind. as he was leaving the bank he held the about the black lives matter sign in the window of a home near cox farms in fairfax county. in a facebook post, the president of the fairfax county for fraternal order of police says because of that he will not go to the farm anymore. brad constructers and other officers believe the black lives matter message is now distorted to target police. erin cox put the sign in her window and said she means no harm to officers. they unveiled a six-point plan. the group's plan focuses on what they call quality arrested entering the city's gage order on police misconduct and getting body cameras for police within a year. today's rally comes moths after the riots involving the death of freddie gray. he died one week after being taken into police custody. the six officers charged in his death el nino is back. forecasters say a big change is on the way. el nino effect means warmer temperatures instead of heavy snowfall. normal areas that are dry may deal with flooding and landslides. it could
