The manhunt for wint took investigators from d. C. To maryland to brooklyn new york. He was arrested during a traffic stop in northeast d. C. Officers followed wint from Prince Georges County into the district last night and pulled him over on rhode island avenue. Hes charged with first degree murder while armed. Police say he killed a family in their woodley park homes that week. For two years he worked as a welder at american iron works. Savvas savopoulos was ceo of that company. His wife son and housekeeper were killed hours after someone delivered 40,000 in cash to their multimillion dollar home. That cash was with it drawn from an american iron works account. We spoke to workers at the company, they said that wint couldnt get along with anybody when he worked there. What kind of worker was he . The truth . He couldnt get along with anybody. It floored me. And now that federal Highway Trust Fund that provides the money is about to run out of funding again at the end of the month. Just within ten miles of here were on capitol hill hundreds of bridges in this area in bad need of repair. There are 600,000 nationwide. And many of them are set to last theyre built to last about 50 years. The average age is 42 years. So you can see why there are so many bridges in desperate need of repair and there are a lot of options here. Some people want to raise the gas tax. Keep in mind every time you buy a gallon of gas, 18 cents goes into that federal fund to repair highways and bridges. Some people want a temporary increase in that gas tax. A permanent increase in that gas tax. We do know that the house has passed a fix but the senate has yet to approve that. A man is recovering this morning after being hit by rocks after a quarry blast in loudoun county. It happened yesterday, sent the giant rocks crashing into the homes and businesses of people in a sterling neighborhood. Surveillance cameras also caught a rock right here flying towards an auto parts store, causing the windows to explode. Well inspectors from win chester Building Supply and the department of labor are trying to figure out what went wrong at the quarry. It is the latest twist in the saga of former virginia delegate joe morrissey. He now says he will marry the 19yearold mother of his son. Morrissey and myrna pride say they want more children. Pride was a minor when they became involved. She worked for him. Morrissey lost his seat in the house of delegates and served jail time after their relationship was discovered. He then won that seat back and lost it again when he moved. Hes running for the state senate as an independent. A plan to demolish homes, and the review board approved a plan for that approved a plan that preserves the history but would cost the county 8 million to move forward.
