dumpster behind a restaurant. this after someone shot her parents and uncle at a home. we have learned they are in critical but stable condition. as of right now police are still looking for the shooter. eun, back to you. angie, thank you. it is now 4:34. a fire ripped through app apartment building in alexandria. it shows flames and heavy smoke pouring out of the apartment. it broke out near little river turnpike yesterday afternoon. 15 people were displaced in that fire. >> i heard people crying and yelling. it was an intense feeling. >> three women were tthe hospital for smoke inhalation and burns. investigators say it started on the first level and spread on the upper floors which put a lot of people in the path of the rising smoke and flames >> a high rise in silver spring is work to go clean up thousands of dollars of damage in a fire. you're looking at the lennox park apartment near silver spring metro station. some people were forced out of their apartments. the flames started when someone left food on the stove >> jury selection begins in one of the most anticipated trials of the year. tsarnaev is facing 30 charges in the april 2013 bombing. his brother former girlfriend at their home in ashburn. a fairfax county judge will set a trial date for jayson werth. he was convicted of reckless driving and sentenced to 10 days in jail. he is now appealing that conviction. st july a virginia state trooper clocked his porsche going over 100 miles per hour on the beltway. former virginia governor bob mcdonnell heads to court tomorrow to find out whether he will head to prison. prosecutors want him to spend at least a decade in prison. maureen won't be sentenced for another month. president obama is preparing a multicity brainstorming campaign leading road near the shopping center. they may be looking for a red chevrolet. if you know anything about this case call state police. looking for a gunman who shot two teens who were on their way to an event at the hishkantor a ah synagogue. the 16-year-old and 19-year-old walking by more shot. neighbors say they heard more than just one shot. >> my husband heard three shots, pause, or gap, interval five more additional gunshots. >> the synagogue is changing its policy about renting out its space to other groups. the teens are expected to be fine but have not been able to give police any descriptions. this morning police are looking for a special needs van stolen from kensington. joan palmer has spinal muscular atrophy and needs a wheelchair to get around. she also used a specialized van to get to holy cross hospital where she volunteers. she said it gave her a sense of freedom and mobility. >> i know i'm not, but i can go out in the front yard but i can't go anywhere. >> that van is a 2013 white honda odyssey with a license plate 26465-ht. it's worth at least $80,000. and palmer says she only had it for about three months. 4:47. there's been an arrest in a double shooting in park d.c. that has seen a a spike in crime. investigators are now charged a man in the shooting. and carrying a firearm without a permit. murders, sex assaults were all up in ward five which prompted public safety meetings with police and city leaders. indonesian navy divers are looking to find suspected wreckage of flight 8501. sonar from u.s. navy ships has detected five large objects on the flurries then. by 7:00 a.m. some of that light snow in washington northern virginia into maryland. it continues to track east-northeast. the snow very light. enough for it to stick on untreated surfaces. by 10:00 a.m. it will taper off. leaving a dusting around the metro area. could have as much as one to three inches. a dust to go two inches in our western northern suburbs in this medium blue zone, western fairfax, northern montgomery loudoun, prince william, fauquier and farther west. there could be up to two inches in the higher elevations. a light dusting. enough for slippery
