Night, new 4z ms 4 midday start. Time lapse video takenout side our studios at 3 00 this morning when snow was covering the ground. You see the snow coming down hard at times but never sticking to the parking lot or sidewalks. And as the sun came up, about an inch of wet snow covered the ground. How quickly is that snow going to melt out there. A lot of snow has fallen off the trees, beautiful Winter Wonderland out there. So many of you sharing pictures with me on instagram, facebook and twitter. Theyre spectacular. But look at these temperatures, everybody now is above freezing. Washington coming in at 37 degrees. Manassas as well. A lot of the snow is going to be history. Here is a live look outside with our city camera, you can see beautiful sunshine there. And notice no snow on the trees. Heres the latest check of the satellite and radar. We were tracking a few flurries. About an hour ago, but even that activity has fizzled out. Ill have your hour by hour minutes. Some love it, some are sick of it, a lot of us sent us your photos of the latest snowfall. And it seems like youre either hoping it is over or wondering whats next. We all are. It really doesnt snow in california. But not so in california, maryland. Look at it here. Folks woke up to about six inches of snow. And were not seeing any problems with the roads. If you look behind me here, you see the traffic is moving at speed and things are starting to melt. Even so, people around here, they say enough already. A gorgeous sight to wake up to. Trees and grass covered in snow. Folks in st. Marys county saw the highest snow totals in our inches in spots. I think the snow is pretty this tight. The roads are clear. It is good. The roads have been good. Just wet pavement, even the sidewalks are clear. No shoveling needed. While this was a hassle free snow, folks we spoke to still say enough is enough. Bring on spring. This is it. No more snow. Needs to warm up. It is back and forth all the time, so annoying. What do you think . Last storm . We hope so. Im getting tired of it. We need warm weather. A woman was hit just after 8 00 this morning, a little west of 29 at tourmaline court. The reconstruction unit is now back there at the scene of that bad accident. He systematically made his case saying donald trump is not a real conservative and could not win the white house in a fight against Hillary Clinton. A viral post helped a homeless man land himself a job. He set up shop outside a California Grocery Store for two years passing out resumes instead of asking for money. Last month someone bought him some food and posted his resume on social media. Hes now working as a line cook at a pizza restaurant and doing well. The restaurant gave him clothes to wear and a friend is providing him with a place to stay until he can get back on his feet. Certainly wishing him all the best. A group of congressional leaders are heading to flint, michigan, to check out the water crisis for themselves. The group will get a chance to speak directly with families is leading the delegation. Erica hill has more. Reporter the woman behind one of the most iconic moments in sports history is hoping to leave a more lasting legacy. Pledging to donate her brain for research. Chastain spoke to nbc news about head injuries last november. When you hear things like cte, traumatic brain injury, these are real. These are long lasting. And what we cant do is we cant study the brain while somebodys alive. Reporter her brain will go to researchers at boston university, studying chronic traumatic encephalopathy or cte and possible link to concussions. The lab has 307 brains. Only seven are from women. We really dont know about cte in girls sports or womens sports. More ways to diagnose. Reporter chastain, who retired from soccer in 2010, estimates there were probably half a dozen times she shook off possible concussions from heading the ball. Girls soccer has the second highest number of concussions among high school athletes. With female players suffering 40 more than their male counterparts. Now a mom and coach, chastain works with u.
