Thats coming probably in another month or so if all goes well. But they are doing some testing today. Theyre running these simulated services, doing the regular schedule without people on board. And this is the first time theyve done this sort of thing during rush hour. While theyre in the mix with the rest of the traffic. So far, so good. Early this morning, the first trolleys made their way from the depot on bening road out on to the tracks. No passengers yet. This is just practice. But for the first time, the streetcars mingled in with traffic during rush hour. Notice anything different this morning . Streetcar sounds and moving around. Its great. Reporter the trolleys are running every ten minutes on their normal route along bening road and h street. On bening, the streetcars have a dedicated lane. But that is not the case on h street. Where the trolleys share the road with cars and trucks. For those parking along the trolley route, be sure to hug the curb. Youve only got a couple inches of clearance. I think it will be great to connect h street to union station. So were excited about it. While there is much excitement, there is also some skepticism. Were going to try to make left turns in front of it, thats where the accidents are going to come in at, so i dont think its going to work. And another tip for people. If you are parking along the trolley route, the streetcar route, you may want to take your mirror to your car and tilt it in. The clearance really is not much bee trolley and the parked cars along the curb. So far, so good. We still have the reste y to go. Theyre going to be doing this for several day. New today, Annapolis City Police are looking for the gun man who shot a man and woman in a busy apartmentmorning, the shooting happened, at the apartment complex on madison street.
