The president heads to new york for the United States General Assembly tomorrow. Whats on his agenda there . This would be a big week even in a World Without isis. Hes going to address the ebola crisis. Hes going to talk about climate change. One thing his administration has said they want to act on tomorrow. The big story of course is isis. Hes on wednesday going to address the General Assembly. Hes going to keep trying to build support for an international coalition. Hes going to push for a resolution that would prevent these hopeful isis fighters from traveling globally, trying to get all these countries on board. Right now, the Administration Says there are about 40 countries that have pledged some kind of support for this effort to fight isis but they havent been specific about what these countries want to do i didnt mean to interrupt you, but what exaly is the president hoping to get from the leaders of the u. N. . Does he want military help . Does he want money . Does he want them to help with intelligence . The biggest thing this administration keeps saying is why theres a lot of focus about whether other countries are going to help put boots on the ground, could actually contribute troops to this effort, as well as air strikes, like france has offered in iraq. What theyre saying is we need a holistic effort. We need all of these nations, arab and western nations, to pull together and keep these fighters from trying to get to the region, as well as coordinating on things like intelligence, humanitarian aid. Theyre looking for a global effort from all these countries. Are we actually wanting russia to join too . Its a complicated situation because this joint resolution the administration is hoping to push, the wording of that is going to have to be very, very specific, to keep russia from a potential vito threat. Russia wants to make sure Bashar Al Assad is not targeted in this language. Youll see a lot of specific, very careful language in that resolution. And a lot of serious things but funny things too. Last week, you decided to talk a little bit about an abusive relationship. About Domestic Violence. Especially with what was happening with the nfl. Have you gotten much response from that . Yeah, i mean, i think if it helps move the dialogue forward, then its important. And i felt i had read a lot of articles the weekend before i talked about my own situation that painted Domestic Violence as something black and white and that was not my personal experience which is why i chose to talk about it. Once i did, there were a lot of folks who requested further interviews. I said, no, this is not about me, its about the issue. And the fact that its much bigger than the nfl. Its something we all need to grapple with. And that was the reason for talking about it. In the hopes that maybe it would encourage somebody else to tell their story. Well, everybody wants to have a beautiful smile. For women what you see is not always the most important indication of a healthy mouth. The doctor joins us to explain. Were focusing on women today because of pregnancy, Birth Control pills and some medications that cause some oral health problems. Is that right . Yes, these are contributing to a confluence of elements that affect the oral health particularly for women. Give us an example of how pregnancy can affect a womans oral health. Pregnancy gingivitis, it sort of mimics close to Birth Control observations in the clinic in the decade or so. Its just a presentation of swollen gums. During pregnancy, the tooth surface can become demineralized and theres a change of nutrients going back and forth, if you will. Of course, isnt just occurring also in the oral cavity. So what can you do to counteract that pregnancy gingivitis . So early diagnosis, early interventi interventi. A specific conversat yo dentist. Expert provider in oral health should give you plenty of options to address that. Now, you say some medications can also cause problems. For women specifically . Medications can certainly cause problems. Of course, if they are certainly related to something which certainly medications across the board can contribute to dry mouth. What are the comb pla i kas . Dry mouth certainly can be its represented by the change in the quality of saliva. The plaque for instance deposits much more rigorously on tooth surface, as well, it can affect tooth damage. Chipping for instance. Jing ja vie tuscan also take place more readily. So attention to detail, extra brushing, all that really has to be involved in the conversation with your dentist. And would Drinking Water help with the dry mouth at all . Yes, it can, but also the same time theres certain protocols we have to consider. And we have to we have ways now to deliver with custom trays specific nutrients to tooth surfaces. We also have the age of electrical toothbrush that really helps. Its just so much more efficient and does so much more for removing the plaque. The plaque is thicker to a surface that doesnt have as much hydration. Obviously, we need to approach it in a way thats a little more customized. You said something i find very interesting. You say you can actually deliver nutrition to the truth from the outside in. So putting on some kind of tray and you can, what . What would you give to the tooth . Yes, exactly. So Many Companies have, for instance, contributed with great research. Using calcium phosphate as well, for instance. Fluoride. Specifically the nutrients to tooth surface. Maybe if you were thinking your teeth are not as good as they ought to be, you ought to go have a Health Checkup to see what they need. Make sure they get it. Strongly recommend it, of course. Especially for women. Of course. Its always dependent of unique in our own individual ways. That is to also note. Again, you say use that mouthwash . Over the counter this is one of the most effective ways, in my professional opinion, account of course during childhood, as well as adult years. Using gum tonic is an option. It really helps with addressing jing gin ja vie tus and other products for dry mouth. And toothbrush absolutely. Effective toothbrushing of course. Thank you, good to see you.
