Over the next 24 hours the search would lead police from d. C. To brooklyn new york, and then back to the d. C. Area. Last night, the Capitol Area Fugitive Task force tracked wint to this hotel in college park. As the task force was preparing to move in wint and several women got into this white car. Police followed the car into the district, using as many as 20 Law Enforcement cars as well as a helicopter. Then police moved in on the white car and the box truck it was following. Wint surrendered without any resistance. Sources say he was not carrying a gun. A large amount of cash was found inside that truck. The door was open to the box truck, and i saw a wad of cash in the side compartment of the door. Reporter wint is charged with first degree murder. He made his first court aappearance this afternoon. Mr. Wint is now incarcerated and held without bond, but our work is not done. We will continue to investigate this case and bring all charges that are appropriate in the coming weeks. Neighbors have been reacting to wipts arrest. News4s Megan Fitzgerald is outside the home in northwest with more on that. Many folks describe this last week as traumatizing to say the least. You might think things are normal around here, but that couldnt be further from the truth. I dont know what normal is. Reporter for the last eight days, neighbors trying to live their daytoday lives cant help but think about what a happened in inside this home. Just to know what happened to them is just heart wrenching. Reporter its why many cant look away and others have stopped to pray. So i just stop for a few moments and thought about them and reflected. Reporter and now that the suspect, 34yearold daron wint is in custody, theres some relief around here. The fact that hes arrested, yes. It makes me feel a little more easy. Hopefully the Justice System will work out. Reporter but as for normal, these neighbors are still trying to figure out if that will ever be possible around woodland drive. Its too much. Really have not had a chance to really absorb it all. Reporter and i tell you one of the neighbors we spoke with said he actually finds some solace by just standing on the corner and saying prayers. We see in this Police Body Cam video the first two officers on the scene of the may 4th traffic stop with their guns pointed at the driver of a hyundai. Sergeant crystal hill yells at 34yearold david washington of frez ricksburg to get out of the car. Put your hands in the air right now put them in the air reporter but he doesnt respond. Minutes later, a third officer sean jergens, arrives. Get out of the car. Reporter you can see officer jergens quickly using his stun gun on the man. But it didnt make proper connection. Now, in this statement Fredericksburg Police say the use of force did not follow Proper Police training or policy. Damian good was taken from the king street station in alexandria just after 8 00 a. M. This morning by his father dajuan goode. The boy was found safe at his grandmothers home around noon. Police say morris was walking in a crosswalk but he didnt have the signal to cross and the traffic light for the truck driver had already changed from red to green. A Prince William county woman is in jail accused of attacking a man with insect killer. A 40yearold man says he and Shanika Davis were arguing at a home in brist tol. The Man Told Police davis attacked him so he locked himself in the bathroom. Investigators say davis dismantled the doorknob and sprayed the insect killer in the hole. Davis faces several charges. More local children are eating their Free Public School breakfasts and lunches. A previous news4 iteam investigation revealed 60,000 d. C. Well, last spring a slope collapsed and left neighbors stranded and without a home. Now residents in ft. Washington say they are facing a mountain of debt. Fema was supposed to pay them to move out. But as Tracee Wilkins tells us homeowners on piscataway drive say thats not happening. So all of this was walkway here. Reporter someone stole part of the flagstone walkway from the front of tracys house, keeping this is hard since she is not allowed to live here anymore. Its tough. It is tough. Reporter last year tracy and four of her neighbors here on piscataway drive were told their homes were uninhabitable after a slope failure. To date they have no water and sewer but still are paying the mortgages here. Its like theres two of me. I pay to live here and i pay to live some place where i cant live. Reporter county offered to pay for the homes with county and fema money but theyre probably 8,000 short of paying that mortgage off, and thats just insane for me. Reporter just yesterday talks with the county to negotiate a larger payout fell through and according to tracy the county is now saying if you dont take the fema money, you get nothing and then were going to fake your property anyway. Reporter due to ongoing litigation, the county says it cannot comment, but tracy says theyre claiming to use police power. It will allow the county to take the homes level them and leave tracy and other homeowners with serious debt and no money for a fresh start. Its inconceivable to say, no only are you going to lose your house, but you have to put cash on the table in order to leave. Reporter john is fighting to help his neighbors stay in their homes and says the county is not doing the right thing. They can offer enough money for people to leave. Fda inspect rz found condensation dripping in unfilled Ice Cream Containers and other residue on food containers at blue bell plants in texas and oklahoma. Those details are in newly released inspection documents that date back to 2009 and 2012. Blue bell pulled all of its products from stores last month. Well, raw tuna may be the most likely culprit in a salmonella outbreak thats made a lot of people sick in virginia and nine other states. 53 people have gotten sick, most of them in california.
