"trump nation, whites only." it was skauled on the back of a banner announcing spanish language services at our savior the brick at the church's memorial garden. leaders calling it a racist act of vandalism. >> i would call especially upon the president-elect and those who voted for him to separate themselves from acts of violence and hate that are being perpetrated in his name. ?? >> reporter: at the spanish-language service, there was a message not of retaliation, but of hate because love is stronger than hate. >> reporter: one woman stood next to the banner with her own sign saying "love wins." members of the congregation and community used chalk to write messages of peace and love on the sidewalk outside the church. >> this was sad this has to happen, something like that. but we feel like we're always welcome on this church. >> reporter: leaders say silver country. >> one little boy asked me this morning when he saw the writing on the wall over here in our memorial garden, he said, is that the way it's going to be now? i said, let's make it better. >> reporter: here are some more of those messages of love. montgomery county police tell us they are investigating the vandalism as a hate-based incident. in silver spring, darcy spencer, news4. president-elect donald trump says he is aware of reports that some of his supporters may be harassing latinos, members of other minority groups. he sat down for a 60 minutes interview, which aired sunday night on cbs. trump says he is saddened by this and spoke directly to his supporters. >> because i'm going to bring this country together. >> they're harassing latinos, muslims. >> i am so saddened to hear that, and i say stop it. camera. stop it. >> much more on this coming up. we'll have reaction to trump's key administration announcements as well. two teenage boys recovering from a stabbing sunday afternoon. montgomery county police hope surveillance video from the nearby wheaton metro station will lead them to the attackers. officials tell news4 the victims are 15 and 16 years old. they were stabbed in the bus bay area of the station. they should survive. officers have already one of the suspects. they are looking for two more in this case. we are working to learn the identity of the driver killed in an accident in prince george's county. this happened just after 7:30 saturday night on walker mill road in capitol heights. two cars were involved in this accident. one driver died at the hospital. the other had only minor injuries. crash investigators are still trying to figure out exactly what happened in this case. cold start tomorrow morning. so as you head out the door, you'll want the warm jacket. and if you're walking or riding your bike to work, you might even want to grab the gloves tomorrow and have the umbrella handy as well. it is going to be dry during the morning hours. but later in the day, we will be tracking some rain. here's what you can expect at 7:00 a.m. as you're stepping out. look at the suburbs. some 20s in culpeper, manassas, and frederick. the district, around 38 degrees. by the time weit low 40s, and we warm up kind of quickly. in two hours, by 11:00 a.m., we'll be in the low 50s. again, you want the gloves and warm jacket in the morning. later in the day, probably don't need that. but some rain will be moving in, and i'll have the latest timing coming up in my full forecast, erika. >> i love how you smile from ear to ear when you're talking 20s and 30s. give me a break. >> winter is coming. >> thanks. we'll see you in a minute. the redskins open up the
