accident we showed you involving the mixer and we are still seeing some slowdowns on the eastbound of the knightdale bypass. let us take a look at that closure south and east of the triangle with washouts and flooding. but spread this far and wide with 95 now open in both directions through north carolina. yesterday it was closed in sections between fayetteville and lumberto with a section on the southbound side with the right lane blocked as they do repair work right around benson. we are not seeing any big delays at this point. damage assessments are ongoing more than a week after hurricane matthew struck eyes. governor mccrory said with many areas underwater it will be a while before we know the true financial impact of matthew. the cumberland county board of commissioners plans to meet tomorrow to get updates on recovery efforts from the hurricane. the counties in will will begin testing drinking water to make sure it is safe to use. also the county says the west over accretion center is now the only emergency center left open. the north carolina national guard could use to retract the continues redirect water into the tar river. yesterday officials will go into the town as the water recedes with major roads being clear soon. so larger vehicles can start assessing the damage. the storm is still affecting schools for a second week with tomberlin and johnson pm. bill and lena? >> thanks, mikaya. a man is facing a murder charge in a case from last fall. tyrone hall was arrested in august. now he is charged with murder. deputy say he robbed, shot, and killed joshua gutierrez in his home in hope mills last november. a second person was taken to the hospital and treated. a former state trooper currently in prison for trying to kill his wife is requesting a new trial. bobby reagan was convicted in 2004 for shooting his wife at his roxboro home. danielle reagan survived. now reagan says his mistress, linda lee pulled the trigger. he also said she had inappropriate wishes with the former roxboro police chief and lead investigator. he also claims the crime scene was not tested for fingerprints faulty testing why the crime lab. the case has not been set for hearing. a raleigh daycare is under investigation for child abuse. the director of apple tree daycare on old poole road sati worker was caught on surveillance last week of using a 1-year-old child. according to the director, the worker was fired and the mother, kassandra sharpe said the daycare did not do enough. sharpe said the teacher allowed back into the class after the typical congestion with an earlier crash on lake wheeler road backing things on at the new garner this morning. plus some extra time with 440 starting to bog down. once you get beyond all that, it is a smooth ride out to wade avenue from 550. there is a report of an accident on us-1 north wind between 35 and the apex area. you can see the delays beginning around highway 55. as usual, to defend westbound out of holly springs backs up pretty badly. something to keep in mind in the southwestern wake county. creating some slowdowns on the eastbound side also some westbound delays this morning as you head away from the 64 business interchange. looked at some heavy traffic on 64 business itself which would typically be a pretty gold alternate route. that a lot of people are using that this morning. so it will be smoke coming out of eastern wake county. a lot of roads so close 95 is in both directions with lane closures here in their. they get some work done to repair those roads but overall traffic is freely. let us take a look at other roads closed this morning with 242 south of roseboro in the eastern side of cumberland county. one southbound lane is closed near max simmons road and that is it. raleigh city council has work session this morning in which members will receive a survey about prospects for news -- new housing. some owners are pushing for backyard cottages or accessory drilling units to rent out for extra income. the city council is expected to vote today. they will likely discuss drafting a zoning change. fayetteville still moving toward bringing a stages. it is likely to be in major flood stages through tomorrow and in flood stage st. martin flood stage to the weekend. it will be a while before all of the water drains out around kinston. around lake wheeler road and the fortify work zone we have what appears to be a minor accident. we significant delays this morning from 440 out to wade avenue. at it all together and it is a little slow this morning, as usual heading into south raleigh. once you get beyond this congestion heading out toward corbin street we are looking good on the west side of two rtv. -- out to rtv. had that accident we showed you involving the mixer and we are still seeing some slowdowns on the eastbound of the knightdale bypass. let us take a look at that closure south and east of the triangle with washouts and flooding. but spread this far and wide with 95 now open in both directions through north carolina. yesterday it was closed in sections between fayetteville and lumberto with a section on the southbound side with the right lane blocked as they do repair work right around benson. we are not seeing any big delays at this point. damage assessments are ongoing more than a week after hurricane matthew struck eyes. governor mccrory said with many areas underwater it will be a while before we know the true financial impact of matthew. the cumberland county board of commissioners plans to meet tomorrow to get updates on recovery efforts from the hurricane. the counties in will will begin testing drinking water to make sure it is safe to use. also the county says the west over accretion center is now the only emergency center left open. the north carolina national guard could use to retract the continues redirect water into the tar river. yesterday officials will go into the town as the water recedes with major roads being clear soon. so larger vehicles can start assessing the damage. the storm is still affecting schools for a second week with tomberlin and johnson having to close 24 parks and we had them as far west as moral mountain. certainly the parks in the central part of the state to the east sustained damage. mostly it was tree damage. we had just a few pm. bill and lena? >> thanks, mikaya. a man is facing a murder charge in a case from last fall. tyrone hall was arrested in august. now he is charged with murder. deputy say he robbed, shot, and killed joshua gutierrez in his home in hope mills last november. a second person was taken to the hospital and treated. a former state trooper currently in prison for trying to kill his wife is requesting a new trial. bobby reagan was convicted in 2004 for shooting his wife at his roxboro home. danielle reagan survived. now reagan says his mistress, linda lee pulled the trigger. he also said she had inappropriate wishes with the former roxboro police chief and lead investigator. he also claims the crime scene was not tested for fingerprints faulty testing why the crime lab. the case has not been set for hearing. a raleigh daycare is under investigation for child abuse. the director of apple tree daycare on old poole road sati worker was caught on surveillance last week of using a 1-year-old child. according to the director, the worker was fired and the mother, kassandra sharpe said the daycare did not do enough. sharpe said the teacher allowed back into the class after the video was discovered and the other parent whenever notified pick >> had i not seen the tape i would not have believed it. i saw that women take my baby and she threw him into a bookcase. >> we a few minutes. in the meantime, let us send it over to brian. some ugliness this morning. take a look at the drive time through garner. and then 20 minutes from 440 out to wade. a lot of this is typical congestion with an earlier crash on lake wheeler road backing things on at the new garner this morning. plus some extra time with 440 starting to bog down. once you get beyond all that, it is a smooth ride out to wade avenue from 550. there is a report of an accident on us-1 north wind between 35 and the apex area. you can see the delays beginning around highway 55. as usual, to defend westbound out of holly springs backs up pretty badly. something to keep in mind in the southwestern wake county. creating some slowdowns on the eastbound side also some westbound delays this morning as you head away from the 64 business interchange. looked at some heavy traffic on 64 business itself which would typically be a pretty gold alternate route. that a lot of people are using that this morning. so it will be smoke coming out of eastern wake county. a lot of roads so close 95 is in both directions with lane closures here in their. they get some work done to repair those roads but overall traffic is freely. let us take a look at other roads closed this morning with 242 south of roseboro in the eastern side of cumberland county. one southbound lane is closed near max simmons road and that is it. raleigh city council has work session this morning in which members will receive a survey about prospects for news -- new housing. some owners are pushing for backyard cottages or accessory drilling units to rent out for extra income. the city council is expected to vote today. they will likely discuss drafting a zoning change. fayetteville still moving toward bringing a fair it will be a nice day that you will be happy in shorts and a t-shirt. nearly 80 degrees at lunchtime and 72 at 8 pm with the temperatur pretty quickly. 86 wednesday with almost a record high. 71 degrees on friday in the rain that we see friday is not likely to be much and people should be early to mid day. by football friday everything looks quiet with 10:00 fiftieths degrees and a cool weekend of 63 on friday. that temperature well below normal at 71 and well away from the record of 86. nice to have these temperatures. expect it to be chilly on sunday morning and brian i know you
