pipeline in the gulf coast to the new york city area, and it was shut down a week ago after a fire in alabama. those are the top stories we're following on this monday, november 7th. from abc news, this is "world news now." good morning, everyone. we start with that breaking news and concerns this morning as a major oil hub is shaken by a powerful earthquake. >> it was centered in cushing, oklahoma, hitting just before 8:00 p.m. central on sunday. >> city officials say there has been quite a bit of damage with a few minor injuries. the quake sent some of the towns nearly 8,000 residents racing from their homes. >> i came flying up off the couch, shaking, my aunt grabbed my cousin, and we ran outside, and the after shakes were crazy. yeah. >> here's why this is getting a lot of attention this morning. it's a major oil hub for this entire country, and it's home to one of the world's largest oil storage terminals. so far, no problems have been reported. >> this was the 19th earthquake in oklahoma in the last week, having the assistant city manager very concerned. >> i can say that i've experienced two earthquakes within one year, which prior to that, i don't have any memory of having experienced them in such regularity. i'm very concerned from a personal perspective as well as what it means going forward. >> such a provide description of what it felt like. >> quakes traced to waste water injected in the ground. >> they have been rattled by thousands of earthquakes in recent years, but this was the fifth most powerful in this state. >> lucky there was no serious injuries. >> some said it felt like an explosion under their moments. the eve of election day, of course, following a november surprise. >> so after causing a fever by telling congress the fbi was again looking into e-mails involving hillary clinton, the fbi director, james comey delivered a stunning announ announcement standing by the decision not to file charges. it's your voice, your vote. here's abc's mary bruce. >> reporter: from october surprise to election eve reprieve, fbi director james comey cleared hillary clinton again of a criminal act involving her e-mails. now he's telling criminal leaders based on our review, we have not changed conclusions expressed in july when the director called clinton handling the sensitive e-mails extremely careless, but said -- >> no charges are appropriate in this case. >> reporter: donald trump reacted in frustration. >> now it's up to the american people to deliver justice at the ballot box on november 8th. >> reporter: clinton had no public comment. she was at another star-studded campaign stop, this time with lebron james. >> i was around a community that was; like, our vote doesn't matter, but it really does. it really, really does. >> reporter: campaigning at a black church in philadelphia, clinton sounded a note of finality. >> everything you care about. everything i care about. everything i worked for is at stake. >> reporter: there was more good news for her campaign. a new abc news national tracking poll has her with a five-point lead over donald trump. both candidates on barn storming binges. >> first thing to do is get rid of clinton. >> this is one of these elections that really is a cross roads election in our country. >> reporter: their long and winding road ending on tuesday. mary bruce, abc news, washington. and president obama is campaigning for clinton down to the wire. the president will make stops in michigan and new hampshire today and join the first lady for a joint rally with clinton and her family in pennsylvania tonight at a rally in florida yesterday, he took aim at trump's character. >> there's been so much negativity and so much noise and distraction and so much rumors and false statements, but i want you to focus on this election and its candidates because the truth is, the choice couldn't be simpler or clearer. >> the president mocked trump over a report that his own campaign apparently had taken away his access to twitter. >> as mary mentioned, clinton still holds a slight lead over the polls. >> nate silver breaks down the numbers for us, nate? >> reporter: we show a three point lead nationally for clinton, and these a two to one favorite. the electoral college map is less solid for clinton than obama four years ago. obama was head in 320 electoral votes, and clinton has 270 which is one state away from potentially losing the electoral college. rather than be in her shoes than donald trump's, but it's not a terribly safe position. >> he's on gma this morning with more on that. tomorrow, count on abc's political power house team with the election results and coverage starts at 7:00 eastern time and ends thursday at 9:00 a.m. it just keeps ongoing. >> we'll see you friday. the city of philadelphia wants a temporary halt to the transit strike happening there for tomorrow so residents can vote. there's a hearing this morning on the city's request for a temporary injupnctioninjunction. if philadelphia voters can't get to the polls, that could hurt hillary clinton's chances of carrying that state. the transit agency is asking for a permanent back-to-work order. a deputy sheriff has been killed following a dispute between neighbors in georgia. deputy patrick died and deputy darrell smallwood in critical condition following the shooting. the sheriff says the men were shot ambushed style by an armed residents and did not even have a chance to return fire. the suspect is in custody. a high profile hate crime case in south carolina. dylan roof charged with murdering nine people at an african-american church in downtown charleston facing 33 federal hate crime charges and could get the death punishment if convicted. picking a jury is expected to take weeks. facing arraignment in los angeles for allegedly murdering a friend 16 years ago. he was on "the jinx" casting suspicion on him for several crimes. he was held in new orleans on federal weapon charges until now. a south carolina real estate agent held without bond after confessing to four murders from 2003. he appeared before a judge this weekend, but said very little. >> sir, would you just understand, anything you wish to say at this time? with breaking news this morning. latest in a string of earthquakes in central oklahoma. the 5.0 earthquake hit cushing, an important area where oil pipelines come together. >> this was the 19th quake recorded in oklahoma in the past week. >> they have been traced to waste water from oil and gas water being injected into the ground. we spoke to the city manager and he spoke about what the quake felt like. >> caller: for someone who has not experienced a major earthqua earthquake, it's like an experience you'll never forget. the strength of the earthquake itself, it was almost as though something had exploded beneath my home, and i could feel every wall shaking and pictures falling, and it was a very scary experience. so as far as powerful, i don't know how to judge it, but i can arguments to voters in critical, final hours. criss crossing the country over the weekend, celebrity friends joined her on the campaign trail making her pitch. beyonce and lebron james on the trail with her. hours ago, she had a helping hand from james taylor in new hampshire where she said there was a clear choice in the election. this is what she had to say. >> this election is a moment of retweeting this message. hillary ran away from rain today, trump is back on stage minutes after an assassination attempt. it was not that. they determined the protester unarmed and later released. also in nevada, republicans alarmed by images like this, a long line of latino voters in the polling station in las vegas. >> it's been reported that certain key democratic polling locations in clark county were kept open for hours and hours beyond closing time to bus and bring democratic voters in. folks, it's a rigged system. >> reporter: it's common practice as long as you're in line when polls close, you get to cast your ballot. this weekend, a marathon, trump criss crossing the country. we started at 10:00 a.m. in tampa, and it's now 1:00 a.m. the campaign slate for 15 hours. in denver, trump supporters telling me they're excited to take down hillary clinton. >> i think that the world until election day, will vote for him. >> i'm not a huge trump fan. a lot of people i know are not trump fans, but against hillary. >> you really don't like hillary, though? >> no way. no way. >> reporter: everything with trump is a competition, and even crowd sizes, accusing hillary clinton of cheating because she's using celebrities like beyonce and jay-z and said he could use stars, but doesn't need them. ending the campaign like he started, all by himself. sterling heights, michigan. well, trump wrapped up his fifth rally of the day well after midnight this morning with five more rallies on tap today as well as clinton. >> a final stretch, abc news political director has more insight on this marathon of campaigning now and the fbi's decision. rick? >> diane and kendis, the object surprise met its november surprise. the fbi director coming out with a surprise letter that suggests that the e-mail probe he said would be opened days ago now closed again. they rejoice on the news because there's a clean bill of legal health heading into the election. donald trump supporters saying it was clinton's folks who questioned the fbi's director impartiality all along. this clears hillary clinton. she's able to close the campaign the way shements to, whether that's lebron james or jon bon jovi. she can turn her attention, and now donald trump is scattered around the states to make up whatever ground he has. momentum back with hillary clinton supporters. hillary the u.s. backed coalition fighting isis is now setting sights on the syria city of raqqa. the so-called capital of isis in syria, and they are moving in from the north capturing several small villages already. they said it's necessary to disrupt want group's ability to carry out terrorist attacks in the u.s. and other countries. the battle for raqqa could force them to divert from mosul, and the operation there has been going on for a few weeks and slowed as iraqi forces push into densely populated areas. however, yesterday, the government troops opened a safe passage for civilians trapped in mosul to leave. busses transported more than 300 families. back here in the u.s. and a wild shootout in georgia between deputies and a suspect leaves one dead and another in critical condition. authorities near macon responded to a call for a dispute between neighbors. investigators say the suspect opened fire on deputies when they got out of their vehicle in his driveway. other deputies responding to the scene exchanged gunfire with the suspect, hitting him, and he's now in the hospital. the deceased deputies identified as 41-year-old patrick, and gasoline is, again, flowing through a pipeline between the golf course and new york city. an explosion and fire in alabama one week ago altered the flow raising prices in the northeast. colonial pipeline says it takes three days for gasoline to arrive at the new jersey terminal. this pipeline carries 1.3 million barrels of gas a day. the colts got help, you could say, beating the packers, giving an assist to this squirrel, making small towns of western pennsylvania have trended increasingly red. west moreland county kplsplit 50 and has not looked back, but while small towns in pennsylvania have gone rust red, the suburbs have been moving in the opposite direction. delaware county's 30% nonwhite compared to 5% in west moreland county. >> it's going to be hillary because i think she's going to bring a different type of going back 30 years. bluer, more diverse, small towns getting poorer and more conservative, and if the trends hold true on election day, the maps favor hillary clinton because there are just more
