that means the judges are going to be more ideological, not less. >> reporter: democrats are still furious at the way republicans treated president obama's nominee merrick garland refusing to give him a hearing more than nine months. still the move to filibuster president trump's pick isn't about pay back it is about the judge. >> judge gorsuch dodged, deflected his responses to members of the committee, cagey and evasive. >> reporter: in his hearing, gorsuch revealed little about hot button issues, gun control, abortion, dekneeinying he discu the matter with the president. >> did he ever ask you to overrule row v. wade. >> no, senator. >> what would you have done if he asked?
