well good tuesday norng you. we begin with the break news overnight. a date is being proposed for the release of thousands of hillary clinton's e-mails. >> the state department intending to make those public but not until next year as team of 12 works full-time, around the clock, to review them. >> reporter: good morning, t.j. good morning, reena. it emerged overnight that 55,000 pages of e-mails from hillary clinton from her time as secretary of state will be released starting on january 15th of next year. that date being made public in court documents by vice news. the review is a slow process due to the large number of e-mails. those e-mails have been the focus of controversy since before she declared her presidential run when it was revealed she used a private and not a government e-mail address. she tweeted in early march that she wanted the e-mails released as soon as possible and now it looks like the first batch will be released just two weeks before the iowa caucuses. now, former secretary of clinton's was scheduled to testify on capitol hill this week about the deadly attack on the u.s. consulate in benghazi and about the e-mails. but that testimony has been delayed. reena? t.j.? >> all right. bazi kanani with the latest. thank you so much. federal investigators looking into the amtrak disaster are dismissing reports that gunshots may have damaged the windshield. >> they're focusing again on excessive speed as service resumed yesterday for the first time in nearly a week. abc's david kerley was on board. >> reporter: less than seven days after the deadly derailment, amtrak trains rolled through philadelphia. you're back on the train? >> yes. >> reporter: any concerns? >> no. >> reporter: we ride through the curve where the derailment happened. why was the train travel something fast? the fbi inspected the engine with the partially shattered windshield sand says it was not hit by a bullet. the ntsb will determine iffing in else hit the train. there are no radio recordings supporting the story that amtrak 188 was struck by something. it was traveling at more than 100 miles an hour and the brax were engaged as it reached a 50-mile-an-hour corner. what caused the speed?
