is off, we begin with breaking news s police caught up with a suspect accused of robbing a bank and leading police on a chase. in city's holmesburg section. the man was apprehended in the bridesburg section. to word of injuries at the bank and the bank robbery suspect is taken into custody by philadelphia police. there was delayed transactions for citizen bank customers. they woke up to find out their deposits were not available. bob brooks has more. >> reporter: rick, it's friday and for people that means payday and their bills are scheduled and financial responsibilities centered around today, and when they woke up and didn't see the direct deposit they were concerned to say the least. >> thank you for calling citizens bank your information is temporarily unavailable. that is what customers heard when they called this morning. when it comes to your money that is not something you want to hear. especially on a friday when so many people get paid. their paychecks never made it into their accounts. we spoke to a woman heading into the branch on city avenue, she too was not able to make the deposit. >> i tried to deposit my checks through the mobile app and it would not do it. >> thank you for calling citizens bank due to unusually high call volumes, we are unable to answer your calls at this time. >> the bank released this statement. due to a vendor processing issue involving several institutions there say delay in transactions posting to their accounts. they acknowledged the inconvenience to customers needing their paychecks today and said that the issue will be resolved soon. for some customers you may notice things are back to normal. >> we also did speak with the bank representative, we asked her were she hacked and she said no. it was a vendor issue and at this point things should be back to normal and if not very soon. check your bank accounts. bob brooks, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. in other news, one person was killed when a fire broke out in a home here in pemberton, burlington county, chopper 6 hd was over the scene at 6:00 this morning you see flames coming through the roof and the a tanker truck had to be called in to help douse the flames, no word on what may have sparked the blaze. >> flames poured from the the roof of two homes down the shore, and fire engulfed the large homes as firefighters poured water on them from above. you see the damage from chopper 6 hd and they are located on sea gulf drive in avalon, cape may county. jeanette reyes joins us from the scene with more on that morning blaze there. >> reporter: well rick, a couple dozen firefighters are on the scene after battling the blaze this morning, behind me say fire that destroyed two multimillion-dollar homes. look at these images from overhead at chopper 6 hd black smoke billowed into the skies this morning. right now firefighters are working to put out the hot spots and fire officials tell us they got a call at 7:45 about a fire alarm on flamingo drive off pelican drive and arrived to find heavy smoke and fire in both homes, and used one water line to get the flames under control and a second running about two blocks from here to help put out the fire. the fire chief says the size of the homes did complicate matters because it spread quickly and one family was home and managed to get out without injuries. the other family is out of town on vacation and a friend tells me they are in florida. this is their primary residence and they booked a flight for this evening. >> residents of one of the dwellings reported that the fire woke them this morning. and they saw it on the outside of the building as they were getting their families out of the building there was no fire inside. >> fire officials believe that the fire started outside of the building, one thing being looked at in this ongoing investigation is the gas leak as the possible cause of these fires, again just one of the factors being looked into but these homes are both a complete loss. reporting live in avalon, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. on the weather front maybe it's the luck of the irish that is giving us a sunny afternoon and now in atlantic city. satellite 6 along with action radar showing with all of that beautiful sunshine we see the clouds creep up. got the luck of the irish our high is 42, 6:00, 41 degrees and clouds mixing in and by 8:00 p.m. 38 degrees and by 10:00, 35 degrees, as we take a look. 42 is the high well below the average of 53. that would feel nice, staying below average. not only today but the entire seven day period. i want to show you storm-we are watching this precipitation building in from the west and a warm front is lifting through the region and not a big storm or a lot of precipitation but it will be impacting us and watch that late tonight into the overnight hours, late tonight into tomorrow we get a wintry mix and tomorrow is a nasty day with cold rain showers, maybe mixing in with wet snow showers north and west. and another event where we have light snow arriving saturday night. saturday night into sunday and we'll talk about the timing of that and how much to expect of these two nuisance events coming up in the seven-day forecast. >> we'll check back in later thank you. philadelphia police are trying to identify a man shot before being dragged 100 feet by a minivan along the 1,000 block of north 58th street in overbrook, he looked and saw the victim also suffering a gunshot wound to the head. the victim is believed to be in his 20s or 30s. the driver is cooperating and not considered a suspect. two men were stabbed overnight at market street in secenter city. police have a person in custody they found a purse and other items on the street near the 7-eleven store. they are trying to figure out what happened. >> a car collided head-on with a freight train in the tioga-nicetown section. this is west moreland street at 7:30 this morning, nobody was hurt in the car and no damage to the train, the car was damaged however. and police are trying to determine how the car got stuck on the tracks. president trump is meeting with with german chancellor angela merkel at the white house talking about fighting isis and resolving ukraine's conflict. they'll have a press conference at 1:30 and that the health care bill will be change to shore up support building and nearly a dozen buildinged surrounding. and an emt is dead after being run over by her own ambulance after it was stolen. a massive five-alarm fire engulfed an apartment building in raleigh, north carolina at night. ten nearby buildings were damaged and one firefighter was hurt by shattered glass, it took flee hours to bring the blaze under control. several people lost power during the fire. and investigators are not yet able to get into thee to determine the cause. a home was leveled outside of washington, d.c., the blast was so loud it could be heard for miles. >> i was woken by an extremely loud explosion, shh shook my windows and whole house, it felt similar to the earthquake a couple of years ago. >> investigators are trying to figure out what caused the back. back in 2011 there was an explosion on the same street, and two people were killed when a person disconnected a clothes dryer without capping the line. and a woman is charged with spiking her boss's coffee to forget about the loan. >> when she attempted to pay the loan the check bounced and he noticed a spike if his -- and slime in his coffee cup. it was a mixture of caffeine pill and anti- -- medication in his coffee. a pilot was able to safely land a plane after losing one of the propellers. the pilot made the landing in sydney australia earlier today. the crew on board report that the righten begin propeller assembly separated from the plane and there were 16 passengers and crew members on the plane at that time. they are asking anyone that finds the propeller parts to come
