Reporter sarah, detectives and members of the District Attorneys Office are meeting in norristown as they continue to go over the interviews they conducted as they conducted the investigation. As for the man who opened fire, he has not been charged. He is cooperating with them. He is a young man. Reporter the family of 27yearold Robert Braxton is grieving stunned while the montgomeryville man was shot and killed attending church in north wales. You dont go to church to be killed. Reporter 11 00 a. M. Sunday service was underway at the church on the 400 block of stump road. The congregation stopped singing and the gunfire. We were worshiping and you hear three different gunshots and everybody went on the floor. Reporter braxton was hit in the chest and pronounced dead at the hospital. Investigators believe an argument between two Church Members escalated. The investigation is on going. We have to determine if the shooting was justified under the law. Reporter the District Attorney wouldnt elaborate, but said braxton was not armed. The shooter had a concealed carry permit for his semi automatic handgun. One Church Member saw several ushers arguing with braxton before the shooting. One of the ushers shot him. I dont know if he overreacted. The man wasnt armed. I dont know what to say. Reporter the shooter has not been identified, and, again, he has not been charged. As for braxton, the autopsy is scheduled for today. Katherine Scott Channel 6 action news. Philadelphia police are investigating two deadly shootings that happened just hours apart in the same neighborhood. The first happened yesterday afternoon in cedarbrook when a man was shot in the head while talking to the aid of a candidate for the pennsylvania house.
